The Bank of Karabraxos is the single most secure bank in human history. A loyal staff, redundant security systems, and a guard dog that literally smells guilt in the customers. When The Doctor picks up the phone of the Tardis and suddenly recovers from a blackout in a strange room with two criminals, it’s too tantalizing not to move ahead with. Being chased by the bank’s security at all times, the quartet must breach unbreachable security, all the while...

Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner and football seem like a winning combination, right? For the most part, they're exactly that in the Ivan Reitman-directed football movie Draft Day. The film revolves around Cleveland Browns general manager Sonny Weaver, Jr. (played by Costner) as he tries to land the no. 1 draft pick after his team's 13-year losing streak. Garner plays the no-b.S. salary capper and also happens to be Weaver's not-so-unknown mistress. Both stars' performances have received positive reviews so far, but a few of the more nit-picky film buffs take issue with some of the technicalities in the movie. Most are impressed with Draft Day, like John Hart of the Seattle Times, for example, who calls...

How exactly does one explain Torchwood? It’s a bit like Doctor Who’s grown-up, bawdy, gay cousin, the one who has outgrown ice warriors and is now more interested in playing with murderous purple sex gases, which should fully explain why we love it so.
Torchwood follows Captain Jack Harkness, the immortal, omnisexual, badass leading man of our fantasies; his dryly sarcastic, perfect boy toy Ianto; feisty, empathetic Gwen; and some other Ok people as they track down alien life on Earth and arm the human race against the future.
More than giving us the Jack/Ianto power couple, which would have been enough, I love Torchwood for its blend of the deep, the devastating, the exciting, and the completely ridiculous, for its understanding that there is as much value in over-the-top sex aliens as in legitimate explorations of the nature of death and for its comfort in mixing these ideas together.

"It was a great moment. I loved it," Barrowman told CNN. "Walking through the saloon doors, right up to each other, looking like we're just going to punch the crap out of each other, and then they kiss! Brilliant." Marsters later reprised the role of Captain John for two episodes to close out Torchwood's second series, where his character made peace with Captain Jack. The actor has since claimed that he would love to return for a further (more)...
