Chicago – Ten years ago, an Independent film was released in Chicago, co-written and co-directed by Richard Knight Jr., an entertainment fixture in the Windy City. “Scrooge & Marley” offered a bit more than the previous versions of the familiar “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, it was the first to filter the story through same sex coupling and LGBTQ+ themes. A new staged version of the film, complete with the featured songs, will be presented at Chicago’s Center on Halsted on December 12th, 2022, at 7pm. It’s a Free event, register for tickets by clicking Scrooge & Marley.
The 10th Anniversary DVD edition of “Scrooge & Marley” has also been released by Dark Star Pictures, with special features and cast interviews, as well as a new digital download available. Click here for The Trailer.

It's our silly aspirational daydream game. Thank you for indulging our curiosity about you relationship to celebrities. We went a little overboard today. Sorry it's called procrastination! Try it.
Would you rather...
...choose between Pop! Funkos of yourself like David Dastmalchian?
...honor Stonewall and the Lgbtq movement with Madonna?
...hang in Brazil with Trevante Rhodes?
...babysit with Henry Golding?
...rehearse Veep's final episode with Julia Louis-Dreyfus?
...engage in locker room talk with Ronnie Kroell?
...face a new day in Hollywood with Ileanna Douglas?
...taste the rainbow in Hawaii with Woody Harrelson?
...fight Justin Theroux to be Rbg's plus one?
...eat (?) snails with Sam Claflin?
...inspire the next generation whilst getting your hair did with Ellie Kemper?
...or humble-brag with show-runner TV creator Bryan Fuller of Pushing Daisies and Hannibal fame (note his coffee mug)?

Coming Soon Gong Li will lead Martin Campbell's next thriller Ana -- the tone is said to be similar to La Femme Nikita. We'd be super excited because Gong Li is always welcome in leading roles but Campbell's new one The Foreigner with Jackie Chan isn't exactly winning raves

I can't ask a 'would you rather' with Sarah Paulson spotting Madonna at the Met Gala as an option because it would win in a landslide. Obviously anyone in their right mind would choose that.
So you get a second option.
Would you rather:
...eat a watermelon with Lindsay Lohan?
...have a wrap party with Daniel Wu?
...hang out in Uma Thurman's trailer?
...paint on/with (?) Ronnie Kroell?
...recover from jet lag with Alan Cumming?
... "walk" dogs with Doona Bae?
... or museum it with Gabby Sidibe?

Big Brother housemates Frankie (left) and Zach

Close relationships on reality shows between gay men and straight men are rare and tend to draw a lot of attention (see e.g. Ronnie Kroell and Ben Dichiara of Make Me a Supermodel; Charlie & Marcus of Survivor: Gabon) .
This season of Big Brother is making its own contribution to the “hobromance” genre with Frankie Grande and Zach Rance
Sweet, but already there may be trouble in paradise with these two lovebirds

The queens create, market and film a commercial for their own signature fragrance.
*Sigh* I had a feeling my girl Ivy Winters was done for when Michelle pointed out that the NYC backdrop she wanted to use for her commercial was actually ... Tokyo. Things went downhill for her from there.
I am sorry to see her go, for a few reasons.: I think she was a genuinely nice person, which is something you can't say about some of the others. She had buckets of glamor, and was one of the best runway queens. She was a cute boy. And with Jinkx' admission that she had a crush on Ivy, that could have made for some good drama going forward.
The mini-challenge featured Andrew Christian, and after doing the daily Briefs Guy for years, I feel he and I have a special bond. How many of the underwear models did you recognize?...

Barca and Pietros from Spartacus: Blood and Sand
Can I ask a serious question? How come, in an era of explicit online pornography, a hot bare bum or passionate gay sex scene in a mainstream movie or TV show still has the ability to drive us so wild? Is it the principle of "less is more" — because they don't show us everything, what we do see is that much more exciting? Or does it have something to do with the fact that we're seeing celebrity flesh, which is the ultimate forbidden fruit?
Whatever the reason, it does drive us wild.
When it comes to male nudity, as well as gay sex in the movies and on TV, gay and bisexual male viewers have waiting a looooong time for anything approaching equal time between naked female and male actors. Clearly, straight male producers and directors have been calling the shots for far too long.

Gale Harold recently sat down with Rage to reflect on his time on Queer As Folk. He seems to have a profound respect for the role, and for his character. I can vividly remember what he says his favorite scene is: “There’s a scene that Sharon and I did in my loft smoking a joint. … I feel it’s some of the best work that I did in the show. It’s a moment where Brian is so alone. He actually gets to jack into someone in a way that’s just about love, you know? It’s about what he couldn’t get from his own family; he got it from his best friend’s mother. I think that’s a beautiful thing.”

It's not every day that a reality television star actually admits he wants us to see him naked. Remember Ronnie Kroell, the openly gay runner-up on season one of Make Me a Supermodel, the Bravo runway competition show hosted by Tyson? Well, Ronnie doesn't have a sex tape, but... The Chicago-born piece of hotness, who was crowned fan favorite during his run on Supermodel, is on the June cover of Playgirl. And we're happy to report that he's not shy! Sure, there's the standard cheesy skin-mag pic of him in a wet—and very see-through—pair of underwear, but there's also at least one completely nude full frontal shot. Even though Kroell admits...

(The Advocate has two images that are G-rated.) How did he get from the Bravo reality show two years...

Plus, gazing at Thomas Jane, Don't Ask Don't Tell takes a welcome hit, and bear fashions come to America.
James McAvoy has been cast as a young Professor X in X-Men: First Class. While it’s a huge role for McAvoy, I have to wonder if he’s staring into a mirror, running his fingers though his thick, luxurious hair and sobbing quietly.
Does ABC have plans to take ABC.com and Hulu to a subscription model? Maybe “plans” is a strong word, but they are taking people’s temperature on the idea of charging for something you can get for free with an antennae.
A tranquilized bear falls from a tree and misses the air mattress like a Wile E. Coyote cartoon. You just have to click over and see. The photographer better get a bonus for this shot. And the bear is fine.

This week! With the news that Make Me a Supermodel's Ronnie Kroell is baring all for Playgirl, we ask: would you?
A Note from the Flying Monkey: Of the many emails I receive every week for my column, some are so good that they simply can’t be answered in just a few words. A: What do you mean if I was a celebrity?! I’ll have you know that I was recognized by someone on the street the other day! Granted, it was a classmate from grade school, but still.
It’s a great question, though, what with the news that out Make Me a Supermodel...

Right now, you could be bidding on this.
Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear. Yes, we're serious.
Right now, you could be buying Scott Evans. Just sell everything you own, and call a Swiss banker, and get to Jockathon in New York City, where he's being auctioned from 6-9 Pm tonight at Dave & Busters. If you're chartering a jet to NYC for the auction anyway, you may as well stay to see When Joey Married Bobby, opening February 6 at Theatre 80 St. Marks and starring legendary performer Lady Bunny. Spartacus: Blood and Sand gave Starz their best premiere ever. The numbers aren't huge, but neither is Starz right now. Programming like Spartacus could change that fast. While the number of gay/bisexual characters on scripted television has, at best, held steady over the past decade (and doesn’t exactly represent the diversity of gay men in the real world), it’s a different story when it comes to the depiction of gay men on reality television. Indeed, along with the explosion of reality programming has come a dramatic increase in the numbers and types of gay and bisexual men appearing on our television screens.
From the groundbreaking appearance of Pedro Zamora on The Real World: San Francisco to the current seasons of The Amazing Race, Survivor: Tocantins, and Make Me a Supermodel, there is a breadth of gay men that is quite frankly astounding.
In fact, there have now been so many gay and bisexual men on reality television that we decided to let AfterElton.com readers choose their favorites of all time. Here...

It's The Best.Gay.Week.Ever! But In Designer Clothes!
Oh, the irony of having me write a fashion-themed Bgwe! Why so ironic? How about because it's 5 Pm and I'm currently wearing Target slippers, Target lounge pants and a ratty sweathshirt. Did I mention these are my good clothes?

Why the sudden interest in fashion? Well, there was Fashion Week having taken place last week in New York and the Oscars in L.A. on Sunday, but I was really inspired by last week's episode of Ugly Betty which ended with Betty finally "getting" that fashion isn't just about expensive clothes but is actually "art" and about taking what's on the inside emotionally, spiritually, etc. and putting it on the outside.
I guess she's feeling wing-y on the inside?
I found that an interesting way to look at fashion and thusly...

Last week on Make Me A Supermodel, Shannon Pallay found herself in the bottom two for the first time all season. The other model up for vote, Ronnie Kroell, is old hat with the elimination ceremony, as this is his fourth time appealing to America's heartstrings.
On the morning of the elimination, Shannon and Ronnie get up and pack. Shannon thinks that she has more of a right to stay in the competition because this is only her first time in the bottom. Downstairs, the girls discover that the boys have turned their photos around to face the wall, which only fuels both of their desires to stay. The battle of the sexes is most certainly heating up.

Last week's Make Me A Supermodel saw the second all-male bottom three in a row. What's going on, men? Casey Skinner, Ben DiChiara and Ronnie Kroell put their fates in the hands of America, and tonight we will see which must immediately end his quest toward becoming a supermodel. Casey has not proven to the judges yet that he has the confidence and poise to become the next Tyson Beckford. Ben has not yet let go of his fish-out-of-water attitude and has continued to have lackluster performances. Ronnie, however, is probably the most talented model of the three, but this far into the competition, even the slightest slip-up could cost him. Who will be going home next?
The bottom three present themselves before Tyson, Niki Taylor, Cory Bautista and Jennifer Starr. Ronnie is safe, and now it is between Casey, who is again wearing his crazy tailed jacket with the gold epaulets and Ben.

Last week on Make Me A Supermodel, Niki Taylor and Tyson Beckford put Ben DiChiara, Casey Skinner and Frankie Godoy up for the vote. Ben has been continually disappointing the judges with his lack of self-confidence. Casey, too, faltered in the runway show on last week's Make Me A Supermodel, performing only two instead of the required three poses on the spinning turntable. Frankie also had a bad week last week, performing the worst at the snowy photoshoot at the Windham Mountain Ski Resort. This is the first all-male bottom three, perhaps in an attempt by the producers to even out the boy/girl ratio on the house. But the Bravo promo guy assures us that the battle of the sexes has only just begun!
It's elimination time. The three boys appear before the judges to hear their verdict. Ben and Casey are safe, but Frankie cannot be made into a supermodel.
