Katy Perry sounded wistful about romance on Friday, March 22. Three days after Us Weekly broke news of her breakup with John Mayer, the pop songstress, 28, shared a sad love song with her nearly 34 million Twitter followers. "Perfectly put, by Tristan Prettyman," Perry wrote, sharing Prettyman's piano-driven breakup ballad "I Was Gonna Marry You." But according to multiple sources close to Perry and Mayer, 35, the split seemed inevitable. On top of many work commitments -- Perry's third studio album, Mayer's upcoming tour dates -- [...]...

Despite oft-overlapping acts, massive music festivals have a tendency to always reflect their surroundings. No matter if Coachella is being headlined by a holographic Tupac or a bill brimming with early-90s Britpop nostalgia, the festival is always going to to feel like an outgrowth of Los Angeles--and be very different from Chicago's Lollapalooza.

Lasse Hallström + a Nicholas Sparks adaptation, hmmm... Ok, so maybe this isn't our most anticipated film of the year, or even close, but hey, people who liked "Dear John" may care. Starring Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough and Colbie Smulders the soundtrack to the Nicholas Sparks adaptation "Safe Haven" has been announced and it features an original track from Colbie Caillat and Gavin DeGraw, plus songs by Tristan Prettyman, FM Radio and a strong line-up of newcomers. Ok, we probably (most certainly) won't be listening to it either, but some of our audience went nuts for the "P.S. I Love You" soundtrack, so anything's possible. Here's the official synopsis. When a mysterious young woman named Katie appears in the small North Carolina town of Southport, her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. Beautiful yet self-effacing, Katie seems determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events...

We're disappointed to hear that these two may not be making music together anymore! Chart-topper Jason Mraz, whose single "I'm Yours" broke records last year, has reportedly been dumped by fiancée and fellow singer Tristan Prettyman. The pair became engaged over Christmas last year, but it looks like they won't be making it down the aisle.
Mraz says that his focus on his work was a detriment to the relationship. "My greatest mistake right now is, I've been clinging to my art," he tells The Daily Beast . "In that, I have victory for my art and a great loss for my heart. At the moment, my beautiful fiancée is no longer my beautiful fiancée."
Prettyman is still around to help ease the pain in his heart, though. "We are still super friends, we go to yoga together, we surf together. We acknowledge the journey that each of us is on.

Jason Mraz's new fiancée shouldn't expect to get married any time soon. The "I'm Yours" singer says he will only marry girlfriend Tristan Prettyman when gay couples are legally allowed to get married.
Mraz, 33, asked his 28-year-old "dream girl" to be his wife last month, but until gay marriage is deemed legal, he won't say I Do yet.
He told usmagazine.com during Elton John's Concert to Benefit the American Foundation for Equal Rights in Beverly Hills last week, ""We both feel that in our engagement, we have a union that's really special and can't be broken. It's a sacred bond."
"The wedding would be nice for our family, our friends, our community - our moms especially - and so it puts us in the fight. We can't get married until [gay] marriage is legal and equal. I think giving people the right to marry will be a huge movement in civil rights.

Singer/songwriter Jason Mraz has pledged not to wed fiancee Tristan Prettyman until gay marriage is legal in America. The "I'm Yours" singer proposed to his girlfriend last month but it could be quite some time before they officially exchange vows.
Mraz explains, "We both feel that in our engagement, we have a union that's really special and can't be broken. It's a sacred bond. The wedding would be nice for our family, our friends, our community - our moms especially - and so it puts us in the fight. We can't get married until (gay) marriage is legal and equal... but she (Prettyman) is definitely my dream girl."
Jason Mraz was previously married to makeup artist Sheridan Edley. After the divorce, he dated Tristan Prettyman, and they worked on a song together called "Shy That Way" which appears in her 2005 album "Twentythree".

Jason Mraz told Tristan Prettyman 'I'm Yours,' but he won't say "I do," for perhaps quite a while.
Mraz, who popped the question to Prettyman right before Christmas, told attendees of the Concert to Benefit the American Foundation for Equal Rights on Wednesday that he won't walk down the aisle until everyone can -- including gay couples.
"We both feel that in our engagement, we have a union that's really special and cant be broken. It's a sacred bond," he told the audience (via Us Weekly). I think giving people the right to marry will be a huge movement in civil rights."
Mraz wasn't the only singer to speak out at the benefit in a big way.

Jason Mraz of "I'm Yours" fame officially belongs to one lady.
The singer-songwriter proposed to and was accepted by girlfriend Tristan Prettyman, another singer-songwriter and model for Roxy, the two busy warblers revealed on Twitter.
"She Said Yes," reads Mraz's unambiguous Dec. 23 tweet.
She gushes back with a wordier, but perhaps less eloquent tweet of her own: "For Once. I Am Speechless.....i did good! holy crap! man of my dreams!!! for the rest of my life!!!"
They celebrated their engagement camping with her parents at the beach. The couple had a breakup in 2006, during which time Prettyman reportedly dated G.Love, but apparently reunited in 2010.
Just a few days before popping the question, Mraz paired up with his lady love on "All I Want for Christmas Is Up," which you can enjoy below. Santa apparently thought both had been good this year.
