According to Wikipedia, a “soul surfer” is a gifted surfer who is spiritually attuned to the water and waves and surfs for the sheer pleasure of it, not the glory that comes with winning competitions. The movie “Soul Surfer” tells the story of Bethany Hamilton, a real-life soul surfer who famously lost her left arm in a shark attack and got back on the board.
In the movie we follow Hamilton (AnnaSophia Robb), a newly sponsored teen surfer who is hoping to turn pro when she loses her limb. Naturally, she spends some time feeling lost and frustrated, but with the help of her parents (Dennis Quaid and Helen Hunt) and a mission trip to tsunami-torn Thaliand led by her...

You're watching Off the Map, right? If not, what more will it take to convince you? A giant snake, you say? Consider it done. Tomorrow, Off the Map's league of Doctors who are way too hot to be practicing in the middle of a jungle, but are anyways, will take on, amongst other things, a giant Anaconda! In related news, Jennifer Lopez will be over on Fox debuting on American Idol - coincidence? I think Not! All eyeballs will be on the overnights though, as Off the Map posted what TVBythenumbers called 'disappointing' numbers last week and really needs to do better if it's to outrun the cancellation bear. Here are a couple of clips and some pics from the episode.
"Smile. Don't Kill Anyone" - When a 12-foot anaconda snake takes hold of a wildlife photographer, Zee, Lily and Ben spring into action. Meanwhile Tommy learns a tough...

I have a strong suspicion that ABC has a hit on their hands, but don't take that for positive regard. Off the Map is being pushed heavily as "from the producers of Grey's Anatomy," and that's about all the review anyone needs. However, that may need a little more explanation.
There is some variety among Grey's Anatomy fans, and while those who can't stand Grey's at all know exactly where they are, the fans could probably use a little more guidance. Long story short, there are those fans who think Grey's Anatomy has slowly become more and more goofy over time, reaching the point where it is mostly unwatchable now, and then there are those who think the show has gotten better and better.
For those who believe Grey's has tumbled into the realm of not only corny nonsense, but self-mockery, proceed with extreme caution here. For those in the opposing camp,...
