*here be some spoilers. Director: Dominic Burns. Writer: Paul Chronnell. Cast: Mark Hamill, Craig Conway, Billy Murray, Sebastian Street, Simon Phillips, Julian Glover, Alan Ford, Gemma Atkinson, Rita Ramnani, and Andrew Shim. Chelsea Films is releasing Airborne across the United Kingdom on DVD July 30th. This is a film that puts a dozen passengers on a doomed flight across the Atlantic. One of their passengers is an ancient Chinese spirit that likes to possess the living. The other flight crew and trapped passengers are understandably shook up when the ghost of Chang starts offing characters via gory suicides. The action is almost laughable as the plot of a cursed vase threatens to ground this aircraft for good. And, something strange begins to happen as you watch this film. If you are a United Kingdom film fan, then you might notice that director Dominic Burns has recruited a few familiar faces.

A high-altitude thriller in the tradition of such films as Executive Decision, Passenger 57 and Red Eye, with a good dose of Snakes on a Plane, Airborne also stars Julian Glover, Gemma Atkinson, Simon Phillips, Craig Conway, Billy Murray and Sebastian Street. Check out the synopsis, trailer and poster for Airborne below:
As a severe storm front rapidly closes in on the UK, all flights out of East Midlands airport are cancelled – all save Atlantic Sky Airways Flight 686, bound for New York. Shortly after take-off, several passengers become concerned when one of their number inexplicably goes missing. Their anxieties are further...

UK sky-high horror 'Airborne' has disembarked a new piece of poster artwork. It's quite similar to a very early piece of teaser art we revealed here on the site a number of months back but does now look a lot cleaner and complete. The new Black and Blue Films production from helmer Dominic Burns stars the legendary Mark Hamill ('Star Wars') and producer Jonathan Sothcott is hopeful that its 'more international' feel will help push the movie overseas. Airborne' was penned by Paul Chronell and also stars Alan Ford ('Snatch'), Craig Conway, Sebastian Street, Julian Glover ('Mirrors'), Fiona Ryan, Billy Murray ('Strippers vs. Werewolves'), Kimberly Jaraj and the sexy ex-Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson -below ('13hrs')...

Stag Night Of The Dead
Stars: Sebastian Street, Rez Kempton, Jeff Rudom, Sophie Lovell Anderson | Written and Directed by Neil ‘Napoleon’ Jones
Dean is all set to get married in the morning and nothing’s going to stop the crazy full-on stag party organised by his mates. Not even the recent zombie apocalypse. Six guys, plenty of booze, a stripper, and Zomball – which is like paintball, only players get to shoot lasers instead of paint and zombies instead of each other. You see, with all the zombies around it turns to provate contractors to get rid of them and what better way than letting joe public blast the life (pardon the pun) out of them for shits and giggles. But what begins as a fun stag do soon turns into a fight for their lives as the zombies just won’t stay dead and the wedding party (and the stripper...

*a screener of this film was provided by Left Films.
Director/writer: Neil Jones.
Cast: Sebastian Street, Sophie Lovell Anderson and Joe Rainbow.
There are three rules of Zomball in Stag Night of the Dead: 1) stay together, 2) look out for the recharge station and 3) never humiliate a zombie. The characters in Stag Night of the Dead break all of these rules and unsurprisingly, many of the characters do not make it to the end credits. Stag Night of the Dead will release on DVD and iTunes January 9th and this film is a satisfying romp through a zombie apocalypse. The grainy film stock and a few poor character choices are the only elements that hamper a comedic movie watching time.
The film begins with six men on stag. Dean (Sebastian Street) is the groom and he has only one more night of freedom before marrying his very bitchy sweetheart.

Ah, the stag night: that ritualistic farewell to unmarried life via an evening of unfettered revelry and shit-faced debauchery. While the morning after brings a distinctly zombie-like appearance to all involved, the cast of Neil Jones’ Stag Night of the Dead have a few more of the flesh-eating type to contend with when their choice of celebratory activity goes very, very wrong. Dig on the trailer, some stills, and UK release details right here!

Set in the wake of a zombie outbreak, when private companies are cashing-in on ways to dispose of the undead, Neil ‘Napoleon’ Jones’ film is about a stag party out for a game of Zomball – like paintball except that you get to shoot zombies.

I guess like many people of my age Mark Hamill has been an almost mythical figure to me in that he played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, the film that virtually every boy I knew of my age wanted to see.
It was the film that saw my 12 year-old self in a queue outside London’s Dominion Theatre two days after opening and then again outside the Odeon Leicester Square in the freezing cold a few days later. I even once sat through three consecutive showings at Ilford Odeon back in the day when nobody came in to clean the cinema or eject loafers like me in between times. Those were heady, dreamy days when movies were just movies with no thought of them being huge commercial juggernauts and back then the significant impact of Star Wars on me was that it acted as a catalyst for adventure and excitement in my pre-teen imagination,...

Black and Blue Films are enjoying churning out the British horror flicks of late. Sadly, none of them are particularly great and all of them seem to star at least 2 or 3 of the same names over and over again (ahem! Danny Dyer). Thankfully though new production 'Airborne', which director and star Dominic Burns is currently shooting, may hopefully change this reputation for the better. Ex-Hollyoaks buxom babe Gemma Atkinson - below ('13hrs') stars along with Julian Glover, 'Snatch's Alan Ford, Craig Conway and Sebastian Street.
