Sideshow Collectibles dives into the world of DC Comics to create a polystone and fabric maquette for the gargantuan Kryptonian Doomsday. Standing at 26.5 inches tall, the maquette is peppered with little trinkets that showcase an unseen battle with the Justice League (and something tells me that they lost). Continue reading for full details as well as six prototype photos.
From Sideshow Collectibles: "Sideshow is proud to present the Doomsday Maquette, bringing certain doom to the heroes of the DC universe. Has the Justice League finally met their match?
Measuring a monstrous 26.5” tall, the Doomsday Maquette is the ultimate fearsome foe, created from the violence of prehistoric Krypton. Doomsday stands astride a rubble environment base littered with relics from the valiant heroes who have fallen in his wake. Wonder Woman’s sword, Aquaman’s trident, and Batman’s cowl all serve as trophies at Doomsday’s feet while a number of...

It's no joke: even the Underworld needs comic relief. Beginning on April 1st (fittingly on April Fool's Day), Sideshow Collectibles will open pre-orders for their Malavestros: Death’s Chronicler-Fool to their Court of the Dead line with a new, magnificently detailed Premium Format Figure.
From Sideshow Collectibles: "Sideshow is proud to introduce the Malavestros: Death’s Chronicler-Fool Premium Format™ Figure from our original Court of the Dead collection.
Nothing is ever what it appears to be in the Underworld, and thus it would be wise not to dismiss Malavestros as comic relief in the Court of the Dead. Despite his grotesquely playful visage and unpredictable antics, Malavestros is an invaluable cache of truth. He may choose to dispense his wisdom wrapped in morbid humor and seasoned with acerbic pranks, but that does not lessen their veracity.

One of horror cinema's most notorious antagonists has been let loose from the Sawyer household to terrorize collectors' shelves. Now available to pre-order, Sideshow Collectibles' impeccably detailed Leatherface Premium Format Figure is displayed in a batch of new photos.
From Sideshow Collectibles: "He's got some family issues.
The meat business is pretty good, unless you're actually the meat. It's safe to say that we're not entirely sure which is the worst fate if you're the victim of Leatherface - you might become barbecue, could become chili, or you just might end up becoming a mask for a deranged chainsaw-wielding killer.
Sideshow's collection of classic horror villains grows by one with the introduction of the Leatherface Premium Format™ Figure. Capturing the deranged killer's likeness in horrifying detail, this statue looks as if it ready to lunge off of its base - which is adorned with the portraits of Leatherface's victims.

Artist, Paul Komoda, uploaded concept art of the Juliette creature, Alien Pilot, and Griggs' transformation in the helicopter scene. The Alien Pilot is very interesting because the creature was meant to appear at the very end, but producers ditched it for a different conclusion. "Basically that spaceship would have been originally crewed by an alien race which, as it was relayed to me, would have been on a planet to planet zoological expedition, collecting different creatures and storing them in these containment pods" - Paul Komoda You'll find galleries from a couple of the sculptors on the project, Mikey Rotella and Casey Love. As a bonus, I also added Casey's images that document his time working with Rick Baker and his crew on Men In Black 3 alien designs. Enjoy!
