Image Nation Abu Dhabi and Spooky Pictures recently teamed up to produce the horror film Late Night With the Devil, headed up by the Australian writing and directing duo of Colin and Cameron Cairnes (100 Bloody Acres) and starring David Dastmalchian – whose previous credits include The Boogeyman, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, and The Suicide Squad. The film received a theatrical release earlier this year before reaching the Shudder streaming service, and now it has been announced that IFC Films and Shudder will be bringing Late Night With the Devil back to theatres tomorrow, June 6th, for screenings that will begin at 6pm and will include a Q&a with star Dastmalchian and filmmaker Kevin Smith, who directed Dastmalchian in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. Late Night With the Devil will continue showing at participating theatres throughout the weekend.

Starring MCU and DC Universe alumni David Dastmalchian and Laura Gordon (Undertow), the upcoming horror flick Late Night with the Devil has just released its first official clip from the movie. Directed and written by Colin and Cameron Cairnes, Late Night with the Devil is an upcoming found footage horror film that was initially shown during the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW) on 10 March 2023, receiving very positive reviews from critics.
The film will have its theatrical premiere on March 22, 2024, while Shudder will stream it starting from April 19, 2024. The official synopsis of the movie reveals the following:
Presented in a found footage style, David Dastmalchian stars as Jack Delroy, the host of a fictional 1970s variety and late-night talk show titled Night Owls with Jack Delroy. A film that is truly transfixing from its very first frame to the moment its eerie end credits roll, Colin Cairnes and Cameron Cairnes' Late Night with the Devil was one of my favorite screenings at last year's Overlook Film Festival. Taking place during a late-night talk show one fateful (and frightful) Halloween in 1977, Late Night with the Devil features a powerfully poignant performance by the always-great David Dastmalchian, and ahead of the film's theatrical release on March 22nd via IFC Films and its April 19th streaming release on Shudder, we have a look at the movie's chilling trailer and fiery poster that warns you to "not adjust your set."
Synopsis: October 31, 1977. Johnny Carson rival Jack Delroy hosts a syndicated late night talk show ‘Night Owls’ that has long been a trusted companion to insomniacs around the country. A year after the tragic death of Jack’s wife, ratings have plummeted.

“Head South” director Jonathan Ogilvie is all about underdogs.
“It’s not a story about winners. It’s a story about also-rans, to use this racing term, because there is nothing to win,” he tells Variety about the International Film Festival Rotterdam opener, which sees schoolboy Angus (Ed Oxenbould) falling for a girl and for post-punk music in 1979’s New Zealand.
“There wasn’t a real music industry, so you couldn’t become a rock star. Back in those days, we often talked about ‘the tyranny of distance.’ We felt so removed from everything. But it was the triumph of distance, because it allowed people to interpret things in a new way. It’s a film about music, yes, but also about art and creative expression.”
Praising Oxenbould, he adds: “On the page, Angus could seem like a nasty little brat. But Ed was also in a band; his brother was also living in London.

IFC Films and Shudder have snatched up rights to hot AFM horror title Late Night with the Devil, taking the film for North America, U.K. and Ireland in a deal with Cinetic Media.

Directed by Australian filmmaking brothers Cameron and Colin Cairnes (100 Bloody Acres, Scare Campaign), Late Night With the Devil evokes the spirit and style of 1970s horror classics like The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby. It tells the story of the charismatic but ratings-challenged late night talk show host Jack Delroy (Suicide Squad star David Dastmalchian), who stages a demon-evoking seance on live TV and unexpectedly unleashes evil into the nation’s living rooms.

Holy hell this year’s SXSW Film Festival isn’t messing around.
The official lineup has just been revealed and it’s a banger, starting off with a special screening of Evil Dead Rise!
In addition, they have several prominent horror titles that will premiere as part of the Midnighters program, including the Sundance hit Talk to Me and the surprise sequel to Becky, The Wrath of Becky!
“Midnighters don’t need to be exclusively horror films, they just need to perk you up and get your blood pumping,” said Peter Hall, Film & TV Festival Programmer. “That’s why this year’s SXSW Midnighters class is a mix of horror, bone-crunching action, and mind-melting genre hybrids. Some of them introduce new, terrifying lore to the canon of suburban horror movies, some will worm around in your brain like thoughts you can’t shake, but all of them will make you...

Announced earlier this summer, Australian writing-directing team Colin and Cameron Cairnes are next getting behind the camera for Late Night With the Devil, with David Dastmalchian (Dune, The Suicide Squad) starring as the host of a late-night talk show that goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into the nation’s living rooms.
Late Night With the Devil follows the live broadcast of a late-night talk show in 1977, and producer Roy Lee tells Bloody Disgusting’s The Boo Crew Podcast in an interview that’ll be uploaded soon that it’s going to be a very unique kind of horror movie.
“We just wrapped Late Night With the Devil,” Lee explains. “I almost didn’t read the script, because I was like, ‘That is such a cheesy title. There is no way this movie is going to be something that’s not going to be just a B-movie.’ But then I was...

LevelK has acquired world sales rights to “Lone Wolf,” an Australian thriller starring Hugo Weaving (“The Matrix”) and Tilda Cobham-Hervey (“Hotel Mumbai”) in the run up to Cannes.
Written and directed by Jonathan Ogilvie, “Lone Wolf” is set in contemporary Melbourne and tells the story of Winnie, a young woman who runs a struggling political bookshop with her boyfriend Conrad and takes care of her disabled brother. But Winnie’s efforts to hold everything together get thwarted when Conrad becomes entangled in an act of terrorism. “Lone Wolf” is based on Joseph Conrad’s 1907 novel “The Secret Agent.”
Ogilvie’s previous films include “The Tender Hook,” an AFI award-winning film with Rose Byrne and Weaving; as well as “This Film is a Dog” and “The Despondent Divorcee” — both of which played in competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
“‘Lone Wolf’ is an incredibly timely story on two counts,” said Ogilvie.
