With the big success Ragini Mms 2 under her belt, Sunny Leone is indeed hitting the mainstream button with vengeance. She has green-lighted her next Bollywood outing in the form of Mastizaade. The film is special as it also marks the return of Milap Zaveri as a director. With three back to back hits as a writer behind him (Grand Masti, Main Tera Hero and Shootout At Wadala), Milap is indeed raring to go. If the title is exciting enough, Sunny Leone would be playing a character by the name of, hold your breath, Laila Lele. "I am really excited to have Sunny as my Laila," quips Milap, whose Shootout At Wadala incidentally had Sunny in an item number titled 'Laila'. While the film's screenplay has been written by Mustaq Sheikh, dialogues are by Milap Zaveri. Mastizaade also marks the return of Milap with Pritish Nandy Communications (Pnc). "After writing...

As the director of the 2008 National Award winning Tamil film, Kanchivaram and many other classics, Priyadarshan needs no introduction nor to be questioned if he can sparkle up the screen. But not everyone remembers this and time is what it is. Although not nearly as breathtaking, Rangrezz would probably fall into the same category of films he directed as Aakrosh and Tezz, showing the serious/realistic cinema side of him. A remake from Tamil, it stars Jackky Bhagnani, Priya Anand, Vijay Verma and Amitosh Nagpal in lead roles. The original film, Naadodigal, has been remade into 4 other languages since its release in 2009. But the key here is whether Rangrezz will see the same success.

Ra.One has only been in theaters for about a week but already we hear that plans for a sequel to the hit film will soon be in the works! Writer of Ra.One, Mushtaq Sheikh confirmed the news to the Hindustani Times saying, “Without a doubt, a sequel is on its way.”
Apparently it was during the filming of Ra.One that they had the idea that a sequel could be made. “When we were just half-way through, we knew a film like this would demand a sequel.”
It seems by the time they came to the end it was a definite plan. Many people commented on the fact that the ending of the film left it open for another story to come. Sheik agrees saying, “The way we left it at the end shows how G.One has come back.”
In fact, ideas for part two have been discussed, “Shah Rukh believes in it.

Bollywood's biggest star Shah Rukh Khan has been told he must pay a $200,000 (£125,686) court deposit to secure the release of his new superhero movie Ra.One.
The Indian actor is currently embroiled in a copyright battle over the action movie after scriptwriter Yash Patnaik accused Khan and his production firm of stealing a concept he created.
Khan is expected to hand over the deposit to ensure the film's release goes ahead next week (begs24Oct11), to coincide with the Diwali festival.
A court will then hear both sides of the argument at a future date.
Patnaik is demanding 10 per cent of the film's profits, alleging he developed the idea for an Indian superhero in 2006 and shared his plan with Ra.One scriptwriter Mushtaq Sheikh.
Ra.One has already made history as the most expensive Bollywood production to date.

Paul Schrader and Martin Scorsese are well known for respectively penning and directing films like Taxi Driver and Raging Bull.
It is reported that Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions will co-produce “Xtreme City” with Khan’s Red Chillies. The film will be directed by Paul Schrader and will star Leonardo Di Caprio and Shahrukh Khan.
The deal is said to have worked out largely because of Mushtaq Sheikh who wrote Khan’s Ra.One. Sheikh and Schrader are also the co-writers of “Xtreme City”.

Recently at Mushtaq Sheikh.s sisters wedding, many Bollywood celebrities announced that they are on the lookout.for companions that is! Vivek Oberoi, Kangana Ranaut and Celina Jaitley were just a few of many celebrities that claimed .I am single and still looking!.Despite being pitted as some of the most good looking celebrities in Bollywood today, Kangana, Vivek and Celina all proclaimed that they are not looking for a significant other and are all enjoying single life.Could that be a simple answer to hide a current relationship? Only they have the answers. One thing is for sure, being a Bollywood celebrity doesn.t guarantee success at the box office or relationships for that matter.

Shah Rukh Khan doesn't sleep. Or so it seems. He landed in Mumbai on Thursday from Dubai after a show, but shows no sign of strain or jetlag. Just before Dubai the mega-star was in Berlin for the film festival negotiating the attention of hundreds of screaming fans. What we don't know is that Shah Rukh met and bonded in Berlin with American auteur director Martin Scorsese and his favourite actor Leonardo Di Caprio. Says Shah Rukh, "Leonardo, Martin and I spent some time together. Martin was gracious enough to remember that he had met me in Cannes way back in 2002 when I was there for Devdas. He wants to watch Devdas and I've promised to send it to him. I'll do so right way." After the glorious performance in My Name Is Khan as a physically-disabled underdog journeying across America on a whimsical mission, Shah Rukh Khan is all...

Shahrukh Khan is everywhere these days. He gave an interview for NPR on his recent swing through America to promote his latest, My Name is Khan, which Fox Searchlight opened strongly this weekend as it debuted in Berlin. The big question is whether this Bollywood superstar will ever make the move to star in a Hollywood movie. While the studios are chasing him, like fellow star Aamir Khan, he's got it pretty good back home, where Bollywood's insular filmmaking community is a family affair. Director Paul Schrader has long hoped that Khan might star in his planned hybrid American/Bollywood movie, Xtrme City, a contemporary PG-13 bilingual gangster thriller co-written with top Bollywood scribe Mushtaq Sheikh (Om Shanti Om), set in the underworld of Mumbai. Schrader seeks ...

Hollywood screenplay writer-director Paul Schrader says 'Xtrme City', his first Indian collaboration dealing with the Mumbai mafia and slums, is also about romance, families and obligations.'The script that I am dealing with is about two men who've worked together - an American policeman and an Indian ex-bhai. But it's not a gangster film. It's not a 'Satya', 'Company' or 'Sarkar'. It's a different kind of film,' Schrader told Ians in a telephonic interview from Mumbai.'It has to deal with the world of crime but it also has to deal with families, romance and farce. Mostly it's about farce and obligations,' he said on the sidelines of the Mumbai Film Festival (Mff).Mff is an initiative by Reliance Big Entertainment and the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (Mami) and Schrader is an international jury for the ongoing fest.'Xtrme City' found...

Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan's biographer and close friend Mushtaq Sheikh, who has co-written films like "Om Shanti Om" and "Billu", says he hates being used by those who have personal grievances against the superstar. Furious at a media report that he and Shah Rukh had fallen apart, Mushtaq said the superstar was "very much family". "I hate it when my friends are attacked. I mean how can you demean names like Farah Khan, Priyadarshan and Shah Rukh Khan all in one article without an iota of truth and get away," Mushtaq told Ians. "This is tabloid journalism at its worst. I hate being used by somebody who has misused his pen to vent personal grievances against Shah Rukh." If there is something which is being hailed most about ‘Billu’, it is the penultimate 20 minutes of the film. A heartwarming emotional turn of events in the concluding reels of the film have been pointed out by one and all and the effective writing that made the scenes possible has been termed as the highlight of the film. No wonder, Mushtaq Sheikh, the co-writer of the film (along with Priyadarshan) is happy that his good work has been noticed and appreciated.
Another interesting factoid about ‘Billu’ is that after watching the film in a special screening, even Karan Johar commented that it moved him to tears.
“‘Billu’ is not a slapstick comedy, instead it is a comedy of life”,.
