Sony-owned Crackle won’t be releasing its now ironically-themed feature film The Throwaways as planned. The cyber thriller’s premiere has been postponed to sometime in January 2015. The Throwaways was originally set for release on December 19, 2014, but the recent hacks to Crackle’s parent company have caused Sony to pause that plan. An insider with knowledge on the matter told The Wrap about the postponement, clarifying Sony didn’t consider the film “appropriate” due to the company’s own cyber issues. The Throwaways stars Sam Huntington (of Superman Returns and Being Human fame) as Drew Reynolds, a hacker tracked down by the CIA and forced to choose between life in prison or working to take down a cyber-terrorist for the organization. Crackle has some new spy thriller entertainment coming your way. The online distributor will release its original, feature-length film The Throwaways on its site on December 19, 2014. The film centers around a character named Drew Reynolds (played by Sam Huntington of Being Human and Superman Returns fame), a hacker captured by the CIA and offered either a job with the organization or life in prison. Reynolds joins a “throwaway” group of the CIA’s least-favored agents, including Colonel Christopher Holden (played by James Caan from The Godfather) and combat specialist Dan Fisher (portrayed by Kevin Dillon of Platoon). James Bond assistant director David C Anderson has died, aged 72.
The filmmaker worked as a unit production manager, producer and production executive in film and TV across decades.
He was the assistant director for three of the first four Bond movies - Dr No (1962), From Russia with Love (1963) and Thunderball (1965).
The son of Dam Busters director Michael Anderson, he started his film career at Pinewood Studios.
Anderson later worked with a number of top directors, including Terence Young, John Huston, Lewis Gilbert, John Sturges, Michael Cimino and Blake Edwards.
His films included The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, The Kremlin Letter, The Man Who Would Be King, The Eagle Has Landed, The Deer Hunter, Quadrophenia, Flash Gordon, Tequila Sunrise and What About Bob?
On TV, Anderson worked on several shows such as The Saint, Shirley MacLaine's Shirley's World, Diana: Her Real Story, Tales From the Crypt and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

A few weeks ago our UK readers got the good news that Andrzej Zulawski's Possession is on its way to Blu-ray from Second Sight, and today we have a trailer, a couple of stills, and some new artwork to share.
As for why Second Sight made the sleeve change, the company's rep Chris Holden stated, "We were able to access a higher quality theatrical poster image and have decided to stay truer to the original colours. We're really pleased with the result!"
The disc releases with an amazing array of extras on July 29th.
