Trinity Creative Partnership have snapped up U.K. sales rights for historical war film “Love, Courage and the Battle for Bushy Run,” which is launching at AFM.
Set in 1763, “Love, Courage and the Battle for Bushy Run” is a historical drama set against the backdrop of one of the most defining moments in American history, the battle of Bushy Run. Dave Alan Johnson (“Christmas with Tucker”) and Larry A. McClean (“Pacific Rim”) direct from a screenplay by Charlie Richards (“House Rules”).
The battle unfolds during the Pontiac’s War in the aftermath of Britain’s 1763 triumph over France when a clash of cultures and strategies in the American Colonies took tensions to new heights.
“As Native tribes, driven by fear of British retaliation, unite under the leadership of Ottawa Chief Pontiac, the film explores the unconventional and brutal tactics employed in their quest to capture Fort Pitt,” reads the logline.

Sweet Magnolias fans need to know what’s next for the ladies of Serenity. But will Netflix deliver? It’s been months since the third season of the show dropped on the streamer. But so far, there’s been no word on whether we’re getting a Sweet Magnolias Season 4.

Unfortunately, as of now, there’s no word on when – or even if – there will be a Sweet Magnolias Season 4. Netflix has shared any updates on the show’s status since the season 3 premiere.

Movie goers have always been fascinated with films that take place in outer space. Infuse that with some fun adventures, and you’re guaranteed a big hit. With Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 hitting big in theaters and bringing fans to tears since it’s their last adventure, now is the time to look for other space operas to fill that gap. What should you be watching?
Galaxy Quest (1999)
This film starts as a joke, making fun of the culture that can spring up around franchises like Star Trek. We see the cast attending a convention celebrating this long over TV series. Most of them seem like they want to be doing anything else, but we hear about the problems of them being typecast as their characters. At first, they think they are being courted for a new show but quickly find out that they are actually...

“Selling Tampa”‘s Sharelle Rosado and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson are engaged. The longtime couple confirmed their engagement to People over the weekend following the retired NFL player’s surprise proposal.
Johnson got down on one knee in front of family and friends in Miami Saturday night, presenting his soon-to-be bride with a gorgeous oval cut, 7 1/2 carat engagement ring.
Per the outlet, Johnson surprised Rosado by inviting her to what he said was an early birthday party — he turns 45 on Monday — but in reality, 20 guests were hiding to witness the special moment and celebrate the couple.
While the pair have been calling each other “fiancé” for some time, Johnson hadn’t given Rosado a ring prior to Saturday night’s proposal.
“I’m honestly shocked! I’m at a loss for words,” Rosado told People. “This was absolutely beautiful and to see my family and friends here to celebrate our love,...

Fan campaigns can be a powerful thing, and one of the most successful ones came in the form of the 2005 film "Serenity," which served as a follow-up to the cancelled-too-soon Joss Whedon series, "Firefly." Long before the cries for a "Snydercut" ever hit the internet, there was a fan movement to get answers following the cancellation of "Firefly" after only one season. Unlike the fan campaign that managed to get "Star Trek" back on the air after a wobbly first season in the 1960s, the "Firefly" fan campaign earned them a different reward: a big, bold action-adventure movie directed by the series' showrunner himself, Joss Whedon.
"Firefly" was a story about scrappy survivors and outcasts, and the theme song's chorus, "you can't take the sky from me," became the mantra of the fandom, who called themselves "Browncoats" after the series' rebel faction who had lost their universe-wide war. Whedon took...

"Resident Alien" star Alan Tudyk has had a number of memorable roles throughout his career. In terms of movies, long-time fans look back fondly on the parts he played in "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story," "A Knight's Tale," and "Tucker & Dale vs Evil." He even had that memorable guest spot on an episode of "Frasier" as the new owner of Kacl that Dr. Crane takes under his wing. Although, his most beloved role to date is probably still the fun-loving pilot Hoban "Wash" Washburne from Joss Whedon's "Firefly" and its feature film sequel "Serenity."
However, to many members of his modern fanbase, Tudyk is likely more known for his voiceover work. He can be heard in "Ice Age," "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," "Young Justice," "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," and HBO's "Harley Quinn," among many other projects across film, TV, video games, and more. Disney’s newest animated family film is out just in time for Thanksgiving weekend. “Strange World” is the first new film from Walt Disney Animation Studios since 2021’s “Encanto,” and hails from some of the same filmmakers as “Raya and the Last Dragon.” Here’s all you need to know to watch the movie, which is from co-directors Don Hall and Qui Nguyen (who also wrote the screenplay).
When Does “Strange World” Come Out?
The animated film opened on Nov. 23.
Is “Strange World” Streaming or in Theaters?
Disney released the film exclusively in theaters, so as of right now the only way to see it is in a movie theater. Check your local listings.
That said, expect it to be streaming on Disney+ sooner rather than later. Perhaps maybe in time for Christmas, like how Disney released “Encanto” on Disney+ just 30 days after it hit theaters.

The great Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu said, "The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long." Most people think Tzu was talking about the importance of conservation and avoiding burnout. He could just as easily have been referring to the beloved sci-fi television show "Firefly," which graced our screens for 14 sublime episodes, briefly returned via the 2005 film "Serenity," and was never heard from again. Some things are simply too pure for this world.
Browncoats everywhere know the best thing about "Firefly" is the characters. The crew is a group of disparate castoffs, many of them lovable losers of a kind. Yet, they are all wonderfully unique and perfectly cast, bringing the witty and often surprising dialogue to life.
There are no bad "Firefly" characters. If all was right with the Verse, this would be a nine-way tie. However, by their very definition, rankings put somebody first and someone last.

Ever since the shocking “Red Wedding” scene and the subsequent “Purple Wedding” one on the original “Game of Thrones” series, fans have come to expect that any nuptials on the franchise could lead to blood, violence or a major death. And in the case of “House of the Dragon”, they weren’t wrong to suspect that a royal wedding between House Targaryen and House Velaryon would end in horror.
“It was really, really tense, really, really deep,” says Theo Nate, who plays Corlys Velaryon’s son, Laenor.
As teased ahead of Sunday’s premiere, Rhaenyra’s (Milly Alcock) position as the heir to the Iron Throne was once again threatened. And as predicted by the Queen Who Never Was (Eve Best), knives came out as another shocking wedding ceremony unfolded. [Warning: Spoilers for “House of the Dragon”, season 1, episode five, “We Light the Way.”]

So, what exactly went down in King’s Landing?...

"Firefly" broke a naming pattern. Creator Joss Whedon's previous TV series were named for their protagonists: "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" and "Angel." "Firefly," on the other hand, is named for its setting; the Firefly-class spaceship Serenity. The ship itself is the main character since it's the glue that holds all of the cast together.
Whereas "Buffy" was a hero's journey, "Firefly" is an ensemble. The supporting characters are as important as Serenity's captain, Malcolm Reynolds (Nathan Fillion). According to Adam Baldwin, who played the crude mercenary Jayne Cobb, there not being a single main character also meant none of the cast had the extra job security a lead actor usually does.
Adam Baldwin Explains The Title
"Joss Whedon: The Biography" by Amy Pascale features a quote from Baldwin, recalling what Whedon told the cast at the outset of the series: "You're all expendable. If I choose, you can go at any time.

With only 14 episodes to its name, "Firefly" had time to realize just a fraction of its creators' ideas. Since its cancellation, the show's actors and writers have discussed many ideas for unmade episodes. Among them is Alan Tudyk, who played Hoban "Wash" Washburne, the eccentric but very skilled pilot of the starship Serenity.
Wash never got much backstory during the series' abbreviated run — his full name is never even said aloud. The bulk of his character development, including his sole focus episode "War Stories," centered on his relationship with Zoe (Gina Torres). So, Tudyk took initiative in fleshing out his character. As he's recounted multiple times, he even had an unused idea for what Wash was up to during the Unification War. While his future wife was off fighting the authoritarian Alliance, Wash had a much different experience.

There's value in finding one's wheelhouse, and Steven Knight certainly seems to have settled into his. Since he created "Peaky Blinders" back in 2013, the "Locke" and "Serenity" writer/director has come to specialize in penning similarly subversive period pieces for the small screen. That includes "Taboo," a crime drama series in which Tom Hardy dons a top hat to navigate the corrupt, muck-ridden world of 19th-century London; and "A Christmas Carol," the 2019 mini-series adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel that adds an extra helping of horror to the author's treasured ghost story.
Up next, Knight will continue to deal in tales of sweat, blood, and crime with "A Thousand Blows." The series will reunite Knight with his "Peaky Blinders," "Taboo," and "A Christmas Carol" star Stephen Graham, with Knight serving as creator, writer, and executive producer behind the camera. Knight's boxing drama (more on that shortly) will span 12 episodes and...

The Joss Whedon TV series "Firefly" ran for a single season on Fox. It never really had a chance for a successful run on network television; the episodes were run out of order, and three were left unaired. Despite this, enough people loved the show and bought the DVD box set that Universal Pictures gave a green light to a follow-up film, "Serenity."
"Firefly" is set hundreds of years in the future, in a world where humans had to leave Earth and colonize space. Powerful people run the more advanced planets, but those who wanted their freedom, fought (and lost) a war over it. Those rebels are now scattered through the wilderness of space, settling into a sort of wild west existence. The series tells the tale of a small band of people including two former military fighters-turned-smugglers, a pilot, a criminal, a Shepard (a religious figure like a pastor...
