Danish production company Scanbox Production has bolstered its production team with two producer hires, Lina Flint and Birgitte Skov.
Flint joins from Nordisk Film, where she had worked since 2015. She is one of the emerging producers selected for European Film Promotion’s Producers On The Move initiative at Cannes this week. Flint produced Gustav Moller’s 2018 hit The Guilty and was executive producer on the 2021 Netflix US adaptation.
She recently produced Moller’s follow-up feature Sons, which stars Sidse Babett Knudsen and debuted in Competition at Berlinale this year.
Skov has 25 years of production experience with Nimbus Film and Sf Studios.

REinvent International Sales has closed four new deals for historical epic biopic Margrete – Queen Of The North for the UK (Signature), France (Swift Productions), Italy (Koch Films) and Russia (Paradise Film Distribution Company).
This follows on previously announced deals for the US (Samuel Goldwyn) and Germany (Splendid Film). Sweden is sending Ronnie Sandahl’s Tigers to this year’s International Oscar race.
The film is a coming-of-age drama about the world of professional sports, telling the true story of 16-year-old football prodigy Martin Bengtsson (played by Erik Enge).
It was written and directed by Ronnie Sandahl, based on Martin Bengtsson’s autobiographical novel In the Shadow of San Siro. The project was produced by produced by Piodor Gustafsson in co-production with Lucia Nicolai, Marcello Paolillo and Birgitte Skov.
Tigers was voted Best film in the Flash Forward section at Busan International Film Festival last year. It also picked up awards for Best Emerging International Actor (Erik Enge) and Best Emerging Italian Actor (Antonio Bannò) at Alice nella città, the independent and parallel section dedicated to films for children and youth at the Rome International Film Festival.

Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired U.S. rights to the anticipated Danish epic period drama “Margrete-Queen of the North,” helmed by Charlotte Sieling. The upscale feature, produced by Birgitte Skov and Lars Bredo Rahbek for Scandinavian major Sf Studios, is screening at this week’s Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund (Aug.21-27).
The deal was negotiated by REinvent International Sales, exclusive sales agent of Sf Studios’ feature film slate.
“Samuel Goldwyn Films is a great partner for us, and we are confident that they will release the film with success,” said REinvent’s sales and marketing director Helene Aurø. “They have been keen on the film from the very beginning, and we are certain they will do a great job releasing this epic film in the US.”
An earlier sales deal was closed with Splendid Film for Germany.

The controversial Danish filmmaker’s Nymphomaniac: Director’s Cut scooped eight trophies including best feature and best director at the Danish Film Academy’s awards last night (Feb 1) – and von Trier was in attendance at the ceremony for the first time.
Accepting the Robert for best feature, von Trier said: “From Peter Aalbæk Jensen (his producing partner at Zentropa Entertainments), I know that some of the Robert awards are won by five votes, so I would like to thank those five persons in the auditorium. Thank you very much.”
