Halle Berry became a big name after a string of supporting roles in the 90s with the superhero film X-Men in 2000. Berry played the iconic X-Men character Storm and it is arguably her most popular role. However, she would also be remembered for playing one of the most iconic Bond girls in 2002’s Die Another Day.

Berry starred opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film, and her role as Jinx was different from others in the past as she helped move the plot instead of being reduced to a damsel in distress. However, Berry faced an embarrassing moment during an intimate scene with Brosnan in the film.

Halle Berry collaborated with Pierce Brosnan on the James Bond feature Die Another Day. While filming, Berry joked that there were a few scenes she shot with Brosnan she felt humiliated by.

Berry etched herself in Bond mythology by playing the Bond girl Jinx in Die Another Day. She wasn’t in the film just to be a love interest, however, and found herself being just as physical as Brosnan’s Bond. Although she held her own on-screen, behind the scenes there were two moments that didn’t go the way she might’ve wanted. In one take, Brosnan and Berry are making out with each other. But Berry famously began to choke during the sequence.

With all the questions surrounding the next James Bond, Pierce Brosnan has given all of the two cents that he could. He’s dusted off inquiries and given his advice to the possible next actor, straight from his own experience of filling in the tux of the famous Ian Fleming 007 agent. While rumors still run rampant about Aaron Taylor-Johnson being courted for the role, no announcement has been made. However, Brosnan did give his approval of him for the role, saying, “I think the man has the chops and the talent and the charisma to play Bond, very much so.”
Brosnan himself is set to pick up a new dossier outlining his next mission. According to Deadline, the former MI6 agent has signed on to be in the new romantic thriller A Spy’s Guide to Survival, which comes from Uri Singer’s Passage Pictures. A Spy’s Guide to...

One of the best running gags in the history of sitcoms has to do with the wife of Niles Crane (David Hyde Pierce) on the NBC series "Frasier," and it was actually inspired by another, even greater sitcom. Throughout the series, audiences hear plenty about Niles' wife Maris, but she never actually appears onscreen. Other sitcoms have had similar gags, like the neighbor Wilson never showing the lower half of his face on "Home Improvement," but the "Frasier" writers drew inspiration directly from Frasier's parent show — "Cheers."
In an interview with The Washington Post all the way back in 1996, David Hyde Pierce revealed that there were actually originally plans to introduce Maris at some point, but they ended up going in a different direction. It's kind of a funny story of trying to stand apart, only to realize it didn't actually matter. Though if they try and pull the same...

Themes of immortality, fertility, over-consumption and capitalist exploitation inform this Sundance-selected feature, which tries hard to capture the classic look of Fifties science fiction but ends up looking more like a perfume advert. It’s one of those self-consciously artsy endeavours whose success is built on real talent but which uses its glamour to try to disguise a thin plot and poorly substantiated propositions.
The pre-credits sequence, which uses a choppily-edited montage to tell the story of scientist Sterling Pierce (Scott Bakula) and his desperate search for an anagathic which will keep the mind as well as the body young, is by far the best part of the film. In the scenes which follow we focus on Pierce’s son Jaxxon (Stephen Dorff), who has finally brought the project to fruition, making a fortune in the process, but is still trying to refine it, introducing different flavours and different sensual experiences.

“Will & Grace” star Eric McCormack appeared on Friday’s “Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon to promote his Broadway show, new British farce “The Cottage.” McCormack also talked about his podcast, “Just Jack & Will,” but he had to dance around getting too specific about the show he co-hosts with “Will & Grace” co-star Sean Hayes.
While unable to specifically talk about the show that the podcast talks about — “Will & Grace” — due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA actors strike, he was able to discuss the podcast itself.
“It’s about a show that I’m not going to talk about, out of respect for the strike we’re on, but they’ve allowed us to talk about the podcast,” McCormack clarified. “And it’s so much fun to be back with my old buddy Sean.”
McCormack explained that Hayes had pitched him doing a podcast about the show during lunch together.

It was 30 years ago today that “Frasier” began its life on NBC as the child of “Cheers,” where Kelsey Grammer originated his iconic Frasier Crane character. It would go on to become successful beyond anyone’s wildest dreams, the most decorated situation comedy in television history — earning 107 Emmy nominations and winning a record 37 of them. That included four apiece for both Grammer and the actor who portrayed his brother Niles Crane, David Hyde Pierce. It also found the series winning Best Comedy Series for five consecutive years (1994 to 1998), an all-time record later tied by “Modern Family.”
In the Emmy sense, “Frasier” outdid the series from which it was born, with “Cheers” landing a mere 28 Emmys. The show is, in nearly every respect, at or near the top of the list of greatest sitcoms ever. Rejoice, sitcom-lovers: the "Frasier" revival is almost here! The Paramount+ continuation of NBC's long-running "Cheers" spinoff dropped its first trailer today, and it goes without saying that life looks a bit different for snobby psychiatrist Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammar) two decades after we last saw him. The titular character is older, of course, but he's also moved back to Boston (the original finale in 2004 saw him heading to Chicago), the place where audiences first met the character way back in a 1984 "Cheers" episode. It's an interesting location change, and one that makes me slightly terrified the show will attempt to reunite the cast of one of the best sitcoms of all time if it goes on long enough.
There's no mention of another of the original finale's biggest plot points -- the reason Frasier is not in Chicago. In "Goodnight, Seattle," the radio therapist records his last show in Seattle before heading east,...

The National Association of Theatre Owners has lost another team member following Friday’s exit of exec vp and general counsel Jackie Brenneman, who sources say was ousted.
Now, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Jerry Pierce, who has served as NATO’s technical advisor since 2012, resigned in protest on Monday.
The continuing shake-up occurs just a few short months after the departure of NATO chief John Fithian, who left his role in late April after more than three decades with the association. His successor, Michael O’Leary, took the reins as the head of NATO on May 1. Then in late June, NATO vice president and chief communications officer Patrick Corcoran left his role after a 24-year run.

Paramount+ has released first-look images from its revival of the sitcom Frasier along with a premiere date: Thursday, Oct. 12.
The scheduling move puts the streaming series right in the middle of the traditional broadcast network fall-season rollout, and back on a night where it was part of NBC’s Must-See TV lineup for several seasons of its original run. CBS will also give the show a broadcast sample airing with two back-to-back episodes on Tuesday, Oct. 17. Frasier premiered in 1993 and ran for 11 seasons.
The new series “follows Frasier Crane in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill.”

Notably absent from the series is actor David Hyde Pierce, who played Crane’s brother Niles on the original show.

The James Bond franchise has had its share of iconic moments on the big screen over its nearly 50-year run. The character itself has become one of the most recognizable and beloved protagonists of the last five decades and has seen 7 actors take on the mantel. Now, fans of 007 will all have their different favorites when it comes to the character and the movies- but one of our favorites at JoBlo is 1995’s Goldeneye. The film stars Pierce Brosnan as the debonaire secret agent with a license to kill in his very first take on the character. In fact, this movie is chalk-full of firsts which not only elevated the franchise into the modern era, but also sealed its status as one of the greatest 007 adventures ever committed to screen.
The film was released in 1995 and was the first Bond movie to be released since the fall of the Soviet Union.

Over the past few years, The Drums has essentially become the solo project of Jonny Pierce, and he’s about to get more personal than ever: Jonny, the indie pop musician’s sixth studio album, is set to arrive October 13th via Anti-. Along with the news comes the record’s latest single “Better.”
Jonny sees Pierce really dig into his past, comprised of songs that confront his “cult-like” religious upbringing and how it still affects him through adulthood. But it’s not all in contempt — in hindsight, he’s been able to make something like peace with his traumatic childhood, and Jonny also promises a sense of optimism and gratitude.
“When I finished Jonny, I listened to it, and I heard my soul reflected back at me,” Pierce explains in a press release. “It is devastating and triumphant, it is lost and found, it is confused and certain,...

Hill Harper announced on Monday, his plans to run for U.S. Senate in Michigan to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow, who stated in January that she would not be running for reelection in 2024. The actor posted his message to Twitter, dedicating his bid for office to his adopted son, Pierce Harper.
In the attached campaign video, Harper addresses Pierce, saying, “You see the world you’re growing up in doesn’t feel like it’s getting any better, it’s getting more divisive and more dangerous. When you told me you were afraid to go to school because of shootings, that’s not freedom.”
He later added, “At the core of so much of this are too many politicians in office who don’t really care about people.”
