The Ufc has confirmed two pivotal fights for this coming August, which will have title implications for the lightweight and middleweight divisions.
First up, on August 2nd, at Ufc 176 in Los Angeles, former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi, who just this May choked out Mark Munoz at Ufc Fight Night: Munoz vs. Mousasi, will face off against former Strikeforce middleweight champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, who is undefeated in the Ufc, and hasn’t lost since losing his Strikeforce belt to another possible title contender, Luke Rockhold, in 2011.
The middleweight bout is slotted to be the co-main event of the evening. Both men are potential title challengers at the 185lb class.
On August 23rd meanwhile, Benson Henderson, coming off a win against Rustam Khabilov earlier this month, will headline the Ufc’s Fight Night card in Tulsa, Oklahoma, against Rafael dos Anjos, who also scored a key win on the Henderson vs.

After the disaster that was Ufc 151, where the organisation had to cancel an entire card for the first time in its history, Ufc chairman Dana White will be hoping Ufc 152 delivers.
There has been much debate in the past few weeks over Jon Jones’ decision to turn down a fight with Chael Sonnen on 8 days’ notice, a decision which subsequently resulted in the collapse of Ufc 151. The Light Heavyweight champion has come under a lot of flak from fans and fellow fighters and will be looking to redeem himself in Ufc 152′s main event against the Brazilian Vitor Belfort.
Elsewhere on a stacked main card Featherweights Cub Swanson and Charles Oliviera square off as well as Light Heavyweights Matt Hamill and Roger Hollett. Michael Bisping will face Brian Stann with the winner likely to get a title shot at Anderson Silva and history will be made as the first ever...

Anderson Silva Doesn't Care What You Think
Something happened during the third round of the Anderson Silva-Demian Maia middleweight title fight that pushed the main event into the Twilight Zone.
For the next 10 minutes Silva juked, jived, danced, ran, hid behind the referee and generally mocked Maia all the while fans rained down boos. Anderson was a predator, playing with his wounded prey and the crowd demanded that he finish the fight out of common decency, or at least act like he cared about being there.
At one moment, I fully expected Rod Serling to step out from behind the curtain with a cigarette in his hand to pass along a wise parable of a man destroying his reputation through his own hubris.
Depending upon who you read, Anderson is either a horrible jerk for "clowning around" or Silva is a supremely talented, yet woefully misunderstood martial artist.

According to Zap2it the CW confirmed that "Lost" and former "Dexter" star Mark Pellegrino will be joining the CW's "Supernatural" cast for it's upcoming 5th season to play the role of Lucifer as a recurring role. There's currently no news yet, as to how this will or won't effect his "Lost" role as Jacob, but since it's only a recurring role, we're guessing, not to much. Mark has played a bad ass on "Lost" and on "Dexter" to some extent.

Fans of "Supernatural" got a nice treat last week when word came down that Adrianne Palicki was going to reprise her portrayal of Jessica in at least one episode, but what we've really been wanting to hear about is who would be playing Season 5's big bad, Lucifer. Our wait is now over.
Whether you know him as the enigmatic Jacob on ABC's "Lost" or Rita's loser ex-husband Paul on Showtime's "Dexter", you'll surely recognize Mark Pellegrino as a worthy adversary to Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki's Dean and Sam Winchester.
EW.com confirmed the casting with The CW but didn't have any info on how Pellegrino's new gig might impact his storyline on "Lost". Something tells me a guy as talented as Mark won't have any problem juggling the two roles, especially since "Supernatural" returns on September 10, 2009, while the final season of "Lost" doesn't get under way until February,...

Gathered here in one convenient place are my recent reviews that awarded films Zero Stars, One-half Star, One Star, and One-and-a-half Stars. These are, generally speaking to be avoided. Sometimes I hear from readers who confess they are in the mood to watch a really bad movie on some form of video. If you are sincere, be sure to know what you're getting: A really bad movie.
Be aware, movies that fall into the category of "so bad they're good" should generally get Two Stars. And when Pauline Kael wrote, "The movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash, we shouldn't go at all"--well, great trash should ideally get 2.5 stars or even higher.
Many of these reviews were written in the carefree spirit of those in my books Your Movie Sucks and I Hated, Hated, Hated This Movie. Cheap shots and snark are permitted.

News are sprouting on "Supernatural" casting side. After the revelation that Adrianne Palicki will be back as Sam's ex Jessica, an actor is found to portray the Devil. This villain will be a big story arc for the fifth, and possibly final, season of "Supernatural".
Filling the role of the Devil aka Lucifer is Mark Pellegrino who is also a familiar face on "Lost" and "Dexter". It is unknown whether the new role will have any effect on Mark's stint on "Lost" because his character on the ABC series, Jacob, is still active. He is listed on "Supernatural" as "heavily recurring cast".
In the casting call, Lucifer is described as "soft-spoken, strangely sympathetic, more vulnerable than evil and should have piercing eyes." In the fourth season finale, Lucifer escaped from hell but his face was not shown.
Fifth season of "Supernatural" premieres on The CW September 10.

This week was, to say the least, a Big week in comics. My personal Pull List was 23 issues of all new books. Comic stores even said how expensive a week it was just by the sheer volume of books released. I’m just doing my best to keep you informed with the newest quality and best ongoing series from around the comics world. With that said, let’s get to the pulls.
Pull of the Week:
Dark Avengers / Uncanny X-Men: Utopia #1 – Marvel – $3.99
Score: 8.5
The new superstar creative team of 2009 has finally arrived. Matt Fraction and Marc Silvestri may be the best combination of writer and artist to be placed on any series thus far this year. This one shot issue does a fantastic job of setting events in to motion for the Utopia crossover as well as the formation of the Dark X-Men team.

In July, Sci Fi Channel, which by then will be called by its new moniker, Syfy, debuts a new series, Warehouse 13. Starring Joanne Kelly (Vanished, Jeremiah), Eddie McClintock (Bones, Desperate Housewives), and Saul Rubinek (Frasier, Leverage), the paranormal themed show is set in South Dakota, where the U.S. government maintains a warehouse that houses “strange artifacts, mysterious relics, fantastical objects and supernatural souvenirs”.
Kelly and McClintock are two Secret Service agents who, after saving the life of a president, are transferred to the South Dakota facility, where they meet the caretaker, Artie Nielsen, played by Rubinek.
McClintock’s Pete Lattimer sees the assignment as a reward, but Kelly’s Myka Bering can’t help but feel like she’s being punished. Regardless, their new responsibility is to chase down new objects that belong in the warehouse.
Warehouse 13 is lensed largely on location in and around Toronto. The...

Superheroes were center stage at the Hollywood Reporter's 38th annual Key Art Awards, held Friday night at the Geffen Contemporary at Moca in Los Angeles.
Sam Raimi, who has directed Sony's three "Spider-Man" movies, accepted the 2009 Visionary Award, given to a filmmaker who inspires movie marketers.
And "The Dark Knight," director Chris Nolan's second Batman movie, led the list of award winners, taking home eight prizes, including three best of show awards for its theatrical poster, theatrical TV spot and home entertainment print.
The animated "Wall-e" was a close runner-up, earning seven awards, including one best in show citation for home entertainment, new release packaging.
Warners, which fielded "Knight," and Disney, which released "Wall-e," earned 10 awards each, as did Paramount, thanks to a mix of films that included "Iron Man," "Tropic Thunder" and "The Godfather: Coppola Restoration" DVD.

“Bromance.” Love the term or hate it, it’s become a part of the nation’s vernacular — and apparently, it’s become a part of the comics world, too. The follow-up to last year’s “Marvel Romance” collection, this August’s “Marvel Bromance” will offer up some of the greatest “bromantic” moments from the publisher’s long history, featuring Spider-Man, Wolverine, Deadpool and other popular characters engaging in good, old-fashioned male bonding… superhero-style.
Whether it’s Tony Stark and Jim Rhodes, Cable and Deadpool or Spidey and the Human Torch, guys-only adventures have yielded some funny — and occasionally endearing — moments in Marvel history. Given MTV’s history with covering great moments in “Bromance” history, Marvel wanted to give Splash Page readers the first look at the never-before-seen Jorge Molina cover to “Marvel Bromance.”

Who is Jackie Estacado? What is The Darkness? What powers does it have? How is it connected to Jackie? All of these are questions for anyone who might find themselves picking up The Darkness Volume 2 #78 on comic store shelves later this month. With thirteen years of history to the character, one of the most intimidating things for a new reader is to dive into an established series for the first time. Unlike such iconic characters as Superman, Batman or Spider-Man, The Darkness hasn’t reached a level that everyone, comic fan or not, knows the character’s origin, or even the most important facets of it. But Top Cow is doing something to remedy this problem.
Later this month, Top Cow Productions is publishing The Darkness Origins Volume 1. The first rare six issues of the first volume of this series will be reprinted and packaged together allowing readers to relive the beginning of The Darkness.

Mark Landon, the eldest son of late "Little House on the Prairie" actor Michael Landon, was found dead in his West Hollywood home on Monday, according to The Associated Press.
A cause of death was not determined at press time, but police said there was no evidence of foul play in the 60-year-old sometime actor's death.
Mark Landon, one of Michael Landon's nine children, was adopted in 1956 at the age of 7 by Landon and his then-wife, Dodie Levy-Frasier, who also adopted Mark's younger brother at the same time. Though his father was best known for long-running roles in such popular series as "Bonanza," "Prairie" and "Highway to Heaven," Mark Landon had just a handful of acting credits to his name. First to depart from Bangkok, Thailand to Guilin, China were Margie and Luke who got into the first flight by themselves. Tammy and Victor got into the same flight with Jamie and Cara a couple of hours later but the connecting flight was delayed, causing Kisha and Jen to be able to overtake all of the teams. Mark and Michael meanwhile, left late in the afternoon.
In Guilin, the first clue required the teams to find a barber shop. Kisha and Jen were lost while Tammy and Victor had the privilege of speaking Mandarin.

Could you give me any scoop you have on Grey's Anatomy, ideally something about Mark and Lexie? I need my fix! — Frances
Matt: Does McSteamy "do" parents? That's the big question in the April 30 episode, when a now-sober Thatcher Grey invites his daughter and her new beau out to dinner. Now, just supposing that Mark is down for some dining, can the reformed cad put on a good show? And this just in: A source tells me that on Mer and Der's wedding day, airing May 7, the groom gifts his bride with (incurable romantic alert!) her first solo surgery. How that fits into a little blue Tiffany box, I do not know.
The past two seasons of CSI have ended with a cliff-hanger.

Yesterday Lindsay Lohan acknowledged that she and Samantha Ronson are taking a brief break, but the Ronson family seems to be treating the split far more seriously. Ann Dexter-Jones and Charlotte Ronson went to a police station yesterday to look into filing a restraining order against Lindsay. They say she was acting erratic after being banned from the Ronson party last Friday and claim she was doing drugs and getting physical with Samantha and Charlotte's brother Mark. LL apparently responded to the news of the restraining order very badly, and while some reports say she has no communication with Samantha, others sources say they are still talking. Meanwhile, none of it stopped Lindsay from hitting the town with her friends and mother last night. It sounds like an emotional situation for both girls, and hopefully things will settle down once they get some time apart. wireimage.com//...

The Ronson family gathered at Bar Marmont in La on Friday to celebrate Charlotte's I Heart Ronson JCPenney collection. Celebrity guests included Nicole Richie, the Hilton Sisters and Rashida Jones, but noticeably absent was Lindsay Lohan. Samantha apparently banned Lindsay from coming but LL still tried and had to be restrained by five bouncers at the door when she showed up. Despite the drama, Sam kept busy with her music as their mom Ann Dexter-Jones snapped photos and Mark helped provide the tunes. And the eclectic line-up of nominees shows the wide tastes of Empire readers: the Best Picture nominees, for example, are The Dark Knight, Wall-e, No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood and Iron Man. The line-up for Best Director is similar, except that Iron Man lost out to Tim Burton and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Fred Van Lente may have one of the strangest resumes in modern comics.
After all, not many writers can give their first claim to fame as writing an award-winning non-fiction comic book series both satirizing and paying tribute to the greatest thinkers in human history; yet that’s his name alongside artist Ryan Dunlavey’s on the cover of Action Philosophers, which won the Xeric Grant in 2004.
Since then, he’s gone on to write what seems like an endless stream of series and miniseries for Marvel: Marvel Adventures Iron Man, Marvel Adventures Spider-man, Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four, Amazing Fantasy, Super-Villain Team-Up: Modok’s 11, Wolverine: First Class, and more besides.
These days, his most steady gig is co-writing (with Greg Pak) Marvel’s Incredible Hercules, a fan favorite series and critical darling that’s been praised for mixing mythology with good old Marvel superheroics. He’s also writing the X-Men Noir miniseries,...

One more team falls down in the 14th edition of "The Amazing Race". Married couple Linda and Steve end up as the last one to check in, in the second leg of the race and therefore, eliminated. They join Preston and Jennifer who have already been cast away in the elimination station, a utility provided for the eliminated teams to hinder spoilers.
In the Roadblock task, Linda made a grave mistake when she was supposed to walk down the mountain. While the others made it through, she got lost and asked someone to take her back up the mountain. This cost her lots of time which resulted in them checking in the last. Steve said that he doesn't blame Linda for taking the wrong path and they stood up for their love despite the elimination.

- It was flying so low on my radar that I wasn’t even aware that the production was completed. Today Fox Searchlight Pictures announces that it has pegged a December 14th date for Jason Reitman’s sophomore feature as a director in Juno. Why are we looking forward to this film? We thought that Thank You for Smoking had some great moments (so did the folks at Fox Searchlight who quickly signed up the director for a 2nd project and third: Bonzai Shadowhands) and we very much like the diminutive yet powerful actress Ellen Page. Scripted by Diablo Cody, this sees is a whip-smart teen (Ellen Page) confronting an unplanned pregnancy by her classmate Bleeker (Michael Cera). With the help of her hot best friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby), Juno finds her unborn child a “perfect” set of parents: an affluent suburban couple, Mark and Vanessa (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), longing to adopt.
