Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers from “With So Little to Be Sure Of,” the sixth episode of the final season of ABC’s “Station 19.”
Boris Kodjoe is ready to start his next chapter. Since wrapping production last month on the final season of ABC’s venerable firefighter drama “Station 19,” the 51-year-old actor — who rose to fame in the early aughts in the Showtime drama “Soul Food” — has set his sights on broadening his horizons.
Chief among them is working more behind the camera. After directing his wife (and former “Soul Food” costar) Nicole Ari Parker in the Lifetime movie “Safe Room,” Kodjoe expressed an interest in helming an episode of “Station 19,” and his wish was granted midway through the show’s final 10-episode run. It was the ideal training ground for Kodjoe, whose exacting nature earned him a special nickname on set.

Karen Pittman won’t be returning for “And Just Like That” Season 3. Pittman, who played professor Nya Wallace in the Max series for two seasons, has exited the show ahead of its third installment. Her departure arises from production conflicts, according to Max, amid her recent casting in Netflix’s “Forever” and her series regular role in “The Morning Show,” which was bumped up from a recurring role in Season 1.
“It has been a joy to have Karen Pittman play the smart and stunning Professor Nya Wallace on the first two seasons of ‘And Just Like That…’ As we have thoroughly enjoyed working with this dynamic actress, so too have others,” a Max spokesperson said in a statement.
“Due to her commitments to two other streamer series, it has become apparent that filming three shows at once isn’t possible,” the statement continued. “Due to the production realities, we are...

Exclusive: A fan-favorite character is leaving And Just Like That… Karen Pittman, who played Nya Wallace in the first two seasons of the Sex and the City sequel, will not be returning for the upcoming third season of the hit Max series.
Pittman was already a series regular on Apple TV+’s The Morning Show when she was cast in And Just Like That…, originally as a recurring in Season 1; she was upped to a series regular in Season 2. Earlier this month, she also was tapped for a starring role in Forever, Netflix’s upcoming drama series reimagining Judy Blume’s novel from Mara Brock Akil.
This put Pittman in the middle of a scheduling conundrum involving three high-profile series on three major streamers filming new seasons this year within similar timeframes.
According to sources, there was every intention for Pittman to be in Season 3 of Ajlt, and Nya was written into the scripts.

The cast of And Just Like That… will return to the set this spring, ending more than a year-long filming hiatus. Now, we have a date. Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, Charlotte York, and their pals will take over the streets of Manhattan in May.

Taking place amid the crush of parties surrounding the 2024 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala — with its black-tie Black designer dress code — drew one of the most gorgeously turned out crowds of the entire bash-filled weekend.
Held for the first time in L.A. and hosted by Robin Thede, the gala raised money for the nonprofit equity organization Fifteen Percent Pledge, founded by Brother Vellies designer Aurora James, which asks retailers to devote 15 percent of shelf space to products from Black-owned brands.
First Lady Jill Biden, wearing designer Sergio Hudson, made a surprise appearance at the event, held on the lot at Paramount Studios. It appears to be official, And Just Like That… fans will get what they want. Che Diaz reportedly will not appear in season 3 of the divisive reboot of Sex and the City. While Warner Bros. has not offered an official statement, several media sources have reported that Sara Ramirez, the actor who portrayed Che Diaz, will not return for season 3 of the reboot.
Sara Ramirez has been hinting at their firing for days

And Just Like That… will be back, at some point, with a third season. When the show will return to Max completely depends on the SAG-AFTRA strike. In the meantime, we’ve done some thinking. Seasons 1 and 2 of And Just Like That fell flat for many original Sex and the City fans. We think there are some changes that the production team could make to entice fans of the original series to fall in love with the reboot.
It’s time to drop Ltw and Herbert Wexley
Nicole Ari Parker is a great actor, as is Christopher Jackson. While the actors certainly do the characters of Lisa Todd Wexley and Herbert Wexley justice, the fictional couple still haven’t found where they “fit” in the overall show. We saw more of Ltw and Herbert in season 2 of And Just Like That… and it still didn’t help fans feel...

Scarlett Johansson was honored for her charity work at the 2023 Golden Heart Awards and she opened up about why it’s important for her to be philanthropic.
The Oscar-nominated actress and Ben Platt were both honored at God’s Love We Deliver’s 17th annual gala on Monday night (October 16) in New York City.
Scarlett and Ben were lauded for their work on behalf of AIDS, cancer, food, hunger and inclusion. The event featured a performance from Tony winner J. Harrison Ghee and it was directed by actor Erich Bergen.
“For organizations like this, being able to have fundraisers and get people to come out, that is a massive part of their every year annual raise,” Scarlett told Access. “So, if I can do anything to help the organization get more eyeballs, get more volunteers, get more donations, it’s the least I can do.”

New York Fashion Week brings together many famous faces each year, and this year, the fashion event has Blake Lively, Van Hunt, Halle Berry, Nicole Ari Parker and Tiffany Haddish sitting together in the front row at the Michael Kors Collection Spring/Summer 2024 Runway Show.
While Lively wore an eye-catching gold sequined jumpsuit, the couple next to her, Berry and her boyfriend, Hunt, were just as fashionable.
Berry wore a black body-hugging dress with a low neckline and slits on the side of the dress, showing her arms and thighs. Her loving partner, on the other hand, wore a printed sweater and gray slacks and accessorized with a black beret.
Berry and Hunt have been in a relationship since 2020, five years after Berry divorced Oliver Martinez. The former couple have just recently finalized their divorce settlement, in which Berry will have to pay Martinez $8,000 per month for child support.

Do fashion fans crave easy elegance or high-wattage glamour? Every woman can indulge in either as she (rightly) wishes, if the Spring/Summer 2024 collections that just bowed during New York Fashion Week are any indication.
Designers either overtly or subtly stated that chic women need not feel constrained by any one must-have trend for the season; instead, she should embrace her inner goddess, whether she’s into the classic details of a crisp, beautifully cut white blouse or prefers an A-line white miniskirt that’s slit to reveal a leg longer than a typical traffic backup on the 405 freeway. And A-list fashion fans ranging from Blake Lively and Halle Berry to Mary J. Blige, Laverne Cox, Lucy Hale and Stephanie Hsu seem to heartily agree with this approach.

And just like that… another chaotic, traumatizing, and strangely addictive season of And Just Like That… has come to an end. Season Two introduced penis pumps and a palatial new apartment into Carrie Bradshaw’s world, plus the reappearance of her former flame Aidan Shaw and the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it return of Samantha Jones.
Ahead of the finale, it was announced that Ajlt would be returning for a third season. Max’s Head of Content Sarah Aubrey said in a statement that Season Two ranks as the most-streamed Max original and...

Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers from “The Last Supper Part Two: Entrée,” the Season 2 finale of “And Just Like That,” now streaming on Max.
“And just like that … I ordered two more Cosmopolitans” — that’s Carrie Bradshaw’s last line, delivered in her signature voiceover, in the Season 2 finale of “And Just Like That.”
Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) delivers that proclamation as she relaxes on a beautiful beach, alongside her friend Seema (Sarita Choudhury). “We ran at love,” Seema says earlier in the scene. “And where did that get us?” Carrie answers simply, “Greece.”
Both women have fallen in love during the second season of the “Sex and the City” revival, and for now, are seemingly at peace with the challenges ahead of them. Carrie has accepted that Aidan (John Corbett) — her old love, now renewed — needs to be home in Virginia for his kids for the next five years.

Kim Cattrall improvised a memorable moment in her “And Just Like That…” cameo.

“It was totally [an instance of] of an actor playing a moment. And it’s really nice,” he admitted.

[This interview was conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike authorization.] And Just Like That… may have closed out its second season at Max, but the Sex and the City spinoff is keeping things stylish at all times, whether in the past, present, or future (the show was recently renewed for Season 3). Sure, Samantha Jones’ (Kim Cattrall) return may have been the talk of Season 2’s finale, but stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Nicole Ari Parker are reflecting on some of their favorite fashions from the latest run along with showrunner Michael Patrick King, in the video above. For Parker, when it comes to Carrie’s iconic looks, she doesn’t have “a favorite.” Instead, she’s remarking on the process performers go through to become screen-ready. “It’s an amazing experience to do these fittings. They can last anywhere from two to nine hours.” (Credit: Courtesy of Max) What makes it so special Parker says is,...

After 11 episodes, a rekindled romance and a highly anticipated cameo, “And Just Like That” Season 2 came to an end Thursday on Max.
Developed by Michael Patrick King, the Max original takes place 11 years after the “Sex and the City 2” movie. Instead of following four friends in their 30s, the spinoff follows three of the main friends in their 50s as they navigate friendship, careers, new romances and the complicated rules of dating later in life.
TheWrap already broke down Kim Cattrall’s return as Samantha Jones. But if you’re curious how the season ended for everyone else, here’s what you need to know.

Spoiler Alert: This column contains spoilers from “The Last Supper Part Two: Entrée,” the Season 2 finale of “And Just Like That,” now streaming on Max.
Before the second season of “And Just Like That” even premiered, we knew that Kim Cattrall would (briefly) return as her “Sex and the City” character Samantha Jones. The ratings rationale for bringing back such a beloved figure were obvious enough, but creatively, the move seemed oddly self-defeating. After an awkward start, the sequel series had finally started to establish its own identity. What was the point of reminding viewers what they were missing, let alone with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo featuring no other cast members?
But to my great surprise, Cattrall’s appearance in the 11th and final episode of Season 2 was both effective and, against all odds, organic. The two-part finale, titled “The Last Supper,” was all about saying goodbye and paying tribute...

As Carrie Bradshaw gathered together her nearest and dearest to say farewell to her beloved Upper East Side apartment, some of the attendees made perfect sense. Charlotte and Miranda were, of course, in attendance, Charlotte bringing along husband Harry.

Max officially renewed And Just Like That… ahead of its much-anticipated season two finale which will feature the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha. Season two episode 11 – part two of “The Last Supper” – finally delivers the cameo fans of the original foursome have eagerly anticipated.
Even though Samatha won’t be sharing scenes with her former Sex and the City co-stars, Cattrall will be seen in a cameo, styled by Patricia Field and shot in secret. In an interview on Today with Hoda and Jenna, Kim Cattrall confirmed that shopping in Bergdorf’s and picking out a great outfit for her cameo felt like dipping her toe back in time and having a wonderful afternoon.
However, fans shouldn’t expect Kim Cattrall back for the just-announced third season. It seems this short cameo is a one-off and not a precursor to an extended return as Samantha.

“And Just Like That” is back on Max for a second season, and it’s bringing some famous — and familiar — faces.
Kim Cattrall confirmed that she will reprise her role of Samantha Jones in an on-camera cameo. Her character communicated with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) via text message throughout the first season, including Mr. Big’s funeral and the Paris finale.
A slim and trim John Corbett will return as Carrie’s former fiance Aidan Shaw as she moves on from the death of her husband.
“Sex and the City” fans will also be thrilled that Candice Bergen will reprise her role as Carrie’s former editor Enid Frick. Julie Halston will also be back as socialite Bitsy Von Muffling, who is as delightful as her name.
Of course, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are back as Charlotte York Goldenblatt and Miranda Hobbes, Carrie’s longtime BFFs.

For 25 years, Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and others in their orbit (especially their unforgettable fourth bestie, Samantha), have pushed boundaries. In the 1990s and early 2000s, the friends — then in their 30s — normalized the idea of women as sexual beings and depicted women’s full lives as inclusive of both work and play. As far-fetched as the show could be (how did a freelance advice columnist afford racks of Jimmy Choo shoes? Where were all the New Yorkers who were not rich and white?), Sex and the City entertained while it educated.
Fast forward to And Just Like That, developed by Michael Patrick King and written by a diverse writers room. The series focuses on the group of women, now in their 50s — a demographic too rarely featured as speaking characters on television. And it does so in affirming ways that could be transformational for cultural perceptions of women, work, family and care.

In episode seven of And Just Like That season two, Nicole Ari Parker’s Lisa Todd Wexley faces the kind of personal invasion by her eldest son that not even his father, Herbert (Christopher Jackson), can excuse.
Herbert Wexley Jr. (played by Elijah Jacob) has allowed a girl he’s interested in — and who visibly does not respect Lisa’s authority — to enter his mother’s most sacred of spaces: Her closet.
Fashion has always been a sticking point for Sex and the City and its streaming continuation, And Just Like That. But much of the audience’s time spent in a closet has been with Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw and, to a smaller degree, Kristin Davis’ Charlotte York, who gets her own closet-based journey this season thanks to daughter Lily (Cathy Ang).

I have never been a huge fan of Charlotte York Goldenblatt, the Upper East Side princess played by Kristin Davis in Sex and the City. As a New York Jew, I didn’t relate to her Wasp-y country club optimism, nor was I particularly charmed by her wide-eyed pearl-clutching at her friends’ sexual exploits. (Dude, you copped to rimming your first husband over eggs Benedict. We didn’t forget!) I found her grating and prissy and the most unforgivably callous of the four; in the final season, when she exploded...

And Just Like That... viewers shouldn't expect to see much of Samantha on the Max series. Actress Kim Cattrall recently spoke about her upcoming cameo set for the season two finale, and she made it clear that appearance will likely be the last time viewers will see her Samantha character.
Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang, and Alexa Swinton, the Sex and the City sequel series follows Carrie and her friends as they deal with life in their 50s.

After a couple of episodes of And Just Like That’s second season, a feeling washes over. Like a conversation with old friends or a favorite pair of jeans, the Max revival series settles in with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) and their expanded brunch table, and things look different yet feel familiar. It’s like watching Sex and the City.
“We had a season that was dominated by a loss and the grief that commonly follows a loss like that. That is a color and you cannot escape; even in the attempt to find nobility in that grief and be unburdensome to other people, it still exists,” Parker tells The Hollywood Reporter of the first-season storyline centering around Carrie mourning husband Big (Chris Noth). “And this is a season about resurfacing. It feels in tone really familiar to Sex and the City,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for And Just Like That… Season 2 premiere “Met Cute.”] And Just Like That… Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) is back in her Vivienne Westwood wedding dress for a very special occasion as she and her fashionable friends hit up one of the biggest events of the year in the Season 2 premiere, “Met Cute.” Set to attend the Met Gala as a friend of Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker), Carrie turned to her pal Jackie Nee (Bobby Lee) and his designer girlfriend Smoke (Bethlehem Million) for a one-of-a-kind design worthy of the ball’s theme, “Veiled Beauty.” When sizing doesn’t go according to plan, Carrie’s left to think fast with her ensemble. (Credit: Courtesy of Max) Turning to the gown, which is tied to less spectacular memories (such as Big ditching her at the altar), Carrie pairs it with the cape Smoke made her and accessorizes with that iconic bird in her ...

To paraphrase a classic episode of the original HBO series, “New York City is a great place to be engaged. It’s also a great place to film in — if you’re ‘Sex and the City.’” As Michael Patrick King, the showrunner of Max’s “Satc” sequel “And Just Like That” told IndieWire, “Anytime you go to Carrie’s apartment, exterior-wise, it’s an event for everyone. They see Carrie Bradshaw in front of Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment. It’s like seeing a lion in the jungle on a safari: ‘I saw the real thing!’”
The city was always on equal footing with sex on the original series, and maybe slightly edged it out in the first season of “And Just Like That” But Season 2 puts them neck and neck, with much more sex and hi-jinks for Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and their new friends and lovers. Case in point: Miranda...

Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers from the first two episodes of Season 2 of “And Just Like That,” now streaming on Max.
When it came to making the second season of “And Just Like That” — Max’s popular revival of HBO’s iconic “Sex and the City” — showrunner Michael Patrick King found that he simply couldn’t fit what he and the writers had planned into the standard 10-episode season Max was expecting.
After all, “Sex and the City” stars Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) had been joined by four new main characters, played by Nicole Ari Parker (Lisa Todd Wexley), Karen Pittman (Nya), Sara Ramírez (Che Diaz) and Sarita Choudhury (Seema). King knew he wanted to build on those characters, and integrate them more deeply into the story in order to smooth some of the bumpiness of Season 1.
He initially pitched Season 2 to Sarah Aubrey,...
