The Franklin & Bash season 3 finale took a couple of turns I didn't see coming. But most importantly it poured on the fun. Too bad the entire season felt as though it was "Gone in a Flash."
Any time a show starts off on the beach, I'm smiling - and add extra points to Jared, who may love the beach but couldn't care less about jogging on it. He was all to happy to let Peter run off after Charlie.
Speaking of Charlie, this was the first time we met her ex and Tess' father. Unfortunately, the guy was a jerk. It could have been just one more excuse for Peter to back out of their relationship.
But surprisingly Peter hasn't been scared off yet. Despite the looming reality of a long distance romance with a single mom with a crazy ex, Peter still appeared to be head over heals with Charlie.

"Franklin & Bash" brought the running Rob Lowe joke to a head when the actor himself showed up at Franklin and Bash's beach house party to return Singh's drone. He also ended up burying the hatchet with Stanton -- over a hilarious feud involving Jacqueline Bisset -- and telling F&B they can keep the kayak.
In other news, despite her best attempt to sabotage Damien Karp, Rachel King was denied a spot on the Los Angeles Superior Court bench -- and so was Damien. They went with a one-armed Hispanic woman instead.
And Bash and Charlie are kind of together, but also kind of left things up in the air. We would imagine if the show returns next summer for Season 4 that their relationship will be an on-going process.
What did you think of the finale? We thought Rob Lowe was inspired. We hope if the show returns next year that he'll pop in again.

Good morning! Are you still celebrating yesterday's amazing news? I definitely had a cocktail in celebration last night.
In case you missed it, Jane Seymour kissed Heather Locklear on last night's season premiere of Franklin and Bash. Jane told The Wrap:
...at one point in the office I see Heather Locklear’s character, Rachel King, and I find out from a conversation over a glass of wine she hasn't had sex in six years, so I just decide to kiss her and see if there’s any life in her.
You know, as you do sometimes. "Just making sure you're still alive."
Out lesbian Jean Podrasky wrote about her cousin Chief Justice John Roberts's split decisions on Doma and Prop 8 for The New Civil Rights Movement. She's also in the process of planning her wedding.

Nothing makes me laugh like a good episode of Franklin & Bash - and "Good Lovin"" was just that. Yes, there were plenty of frat boy humor and sex jokes, but it was done so tongue in cheek that it managed to bypass offensive and go straight to funny.
Having the two most adorably handsome leads on TV doesn't hurt either.
Let's start at the beginning…
Jane Seymour was back as Peter's mother, Coleen, who was arrested for prostitution. Her side of the story was that she's not a hooker, she's a sex surrogate.
Coleen: Well I don't have sex with most of my clients. | permalink
Yeah, the word most could be a problem. Poor Peter was horrified and it was all Jared could do to suppress his giddily amused smile.
But I had no doubt the boys would prove mom innocent... eventually. At first I thought that Peter and Jared...

When "Franklin & Bash" returned for Season 3, there were some notable differences. They wound up in a new house on the beach, they're suddenly getting a wall between their offices, and there's a new boss in town. Heather Locklear joined the cast as Rachel King.
She plays a tough-as-nails, no-nonsense boss who admitted she sees potential on Franklin and Bash. Talent, unfortunately, "that's being wasted."
That said, their unorthodox style is still winning cases, as the proved in tonight's two-episode premiere. It's perhaps their more unorthodox methods that stand out for Rachel.
Or, as she put it, "I like zombies. They’re predictable. They never get tired. And they don’t take everyone out for ‘70s roller disco nights on the firm’s credit card.”
Locklear calls Rachel "Amanda Woodward 2.0," referencing her iconic "Melrose Place" role. The Av Club said that she's exactly what the show needed. "Heather Locklear is like a dominant middle relief pitcher,...

Franklin & Bash season 3 returns with lots of changes starting with "Coffee and Cream" and continuing with "Dead and Alive" but thankfully our boys remain the same.
However, life as they know it may never be the same.
Heather Locklear joins the cast as Rachel King who not only humiliates the boys on national TV, she quickly becomes their new boss.
Looks like Infeld is having a bit of a crisis after witnessing someone's suicide while on vacation. He's looking to listen more and work a little less.
Rachel will definitely be a challenge for the boys. So far she seems immune to their many charms. How long will they last if going to work everyday begins to feel like actual work? Are the fighters of the corporate zombie culture losing the battle? As Rachel tells them in this Franlkin & Bash quote...

If a network wants to boost its "Bash," adding Heather Locklear isn't a bad way to go.
The actress, considered a good-luck charm by the late television uber-producer Aaron Spelling -- who cast her in "Dynasty," "T.J. Hooker" and arguably her biggest career success to date, "Melrose Place" -- returns to series work by joining the regular cast of TNT's law drama "Franklin & Bash" when it starts its third season Wednesday, June 19.
She plays the firm's new partner, Rachel King, a hard-charging professional who's more than a bit reminiscent of her "Melrose" character, Amanda Woodward. And that's hardly by coincidence, Locklear tells Zap2it.
"I'm so lucky," she says. "When this came, I was like, 'Oh, this should be fine.' The character was already pretty laid out for me, and I'm just adding what I would do on a daily basis in my acting.

Heather Locklear has a new television job, but she also has her mind on some summer fun.
The series veteran starts a new weekly role reminiscent of her Amanda Woodward of "Melrose Place," when no-nonsense law-firm partner Rachel King first appears in Wednesday's (June 19) Season 3 premiere of TNT's "Franklin & Bash." Locklear basically has finished her filming on the episodes, so she's considering other ways to fill her upcoming weeks.
"I may be going to Paris for a couple of days with my daughter," she tells Zap2it, "because she was going, and I was like, 'I'm going if you're going.' Other than that, I really don't have anything planned."
The daughter in question, Ava Sambora -- whose father is Locklear's ex-husband, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora -- has embarked on modeling and acting careers and is getting much attention for her striking resemblance to her mom.

Tonight, Franklin & Bash returns for its third season (9 p.m. Et on TNT) with new cast member Heather Locklear, who joins the law firm as name partner Rachel King, in tow. “She’s come in to sort of kick our asses a little bit,” Mark-Paul Gosselaar explains. “Because we became equity partners last year, and because Stanton is sort of on our side of a lot of things, we just needed somebody to push back against the boys. So that’s what she brings this year: She brings somebody that’s not always on our side — and might have ulterior...

There's a trend on TV this summer, and it's not surrounding disturbing reality shows: Several '90s TV stars are stepping into established summer series to liven things up a bit, and we could not be more excited.
John Stamos is no stranger to TV -- he most recently guest-starred on NBC's now-defunct "The New Normal" and Fox's "Glee" after starring on "ER" for several seasons -- but he'll always be Uncle Jesse to us. Now, the "Full House" alum has joined the cast of USA's "Necessary Roughness" (Season 3 premieres Wed., June 12 at 10 p.m. Et) as Dr. Dani's (Callie Thorne) new boss, the bluetooth earpiece-wearing Connor McClane. McClane runs a huge sports and entertainment management company, and his goal is to keep Dani in her place after she was fired by the New York Hawks.

I now have a new reason to tune in to Franklin & Bash. When TNT's legal dramedy returns June 19, Heather Locklear will bring her signature sass as the firm's new partner, trial lawyer Rachel King, who never misses an opportunity to bash both Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Jared Franklin (Breckin Meyer). "They are frat boys who need discipline," Locklear says. "She'd really like to get rid of them."

Heather Locklear is retaining her reputation as a show-booster.
She cemented it with the original "Melrose Place," which she helped make one of the 1990s' most buzzed-about series as Amanda Woodward, the well-tailored business shark and serial acquirer of other women's men. Locklear returns to weekly work when Season 3 of TNT's law drama "Franklin & Bash" starts Wednesday, June 19, but her return as Amanda on The CW's short-lived "Melrose" reboot reaffirmed to her that there are no guarantees.
"I think they should have brought some of the older characters back a little more, to introduce the new kids," Locklear reasons to Zap2it of having reunited with such other "Melrose" veterans as Thomas Calabro and Laura Leighton on the 2009-10 remake. "It's a little tougher just having a new cast and calling it the same thing. I think people get mad."

Rosemaire Dewitt is leaving "The Newsroom."
The "United States of Tara" actress is exiting Season 2 of the HBO drama before the new season hits the air. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dewitt's exit comes as a result of scheduling conflicts, not creative strife.
"As the production schedule for Season 2 of 'The Newsroom' has shifted, Rosemarie DeWitt has encountered scheduling conflicts and will no longer be able to continue in her role," HBO said in a statement.
Dewitt joined the cast alongside her "Tara" costar Patton Oswalt in November. Dewitt was set to play a recurring role, a litigator who represents Atlantis Cable News in a wrongful termination suit. Her role will be recast and the scenes she already completed will be reshot.

Franklin and Bash are getting a new boss. Heather Locklear has joined the cast of TNT’s legal dramedy Franklin & Bash for the upcoming third season as a new series regular. She will play Rachel King, a stunning trial lawyer, with stiletto heels and clothes tailored within an inch of their life. Locklear will star opposite leads Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Bash) and Breckin Meyer (Peter Jared Franklin) in the series, produced by Sony Pictures TV. Locklear, repped by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment, recently recurred on TV Land’s Hot In Cleveland and wrapped Scary Movie 5.
