Harry Potter coming to its conclusion was an emotional time for the actors involved. So much so that the cast and crew considered branding themselves with a permanent reminder of their time on set. But although Rupert Grint was interested in the idea, it seemed a few of his co-stars weren’t on board.

Grint and Watson had different feelings regarding how to commemorate the end of the Harry Potter franchise. According to Grint, they considered inking themselves. To honor both the movies and the character, the tattoos would’ve referenced Harry Potter’s iconic look.
“There was talk between us about doing something like a tattoo,” Grint once told Daily Mirror. “It would have been something subtle like Harry’s lightning scar. It would’ve been a great way of marking the end of filming.

Charlie Hunnam once played pilot Raleigh Becket in the Guillermo del Toro feature Pacific Rim. There he teamed up with Idris Elba, who he confided might have gotten on the actor’s bad side in the beginning.

Hunnam and Elba both teamed up for del Toro’s 2013 sci-fi feature Pacific Rim. The movie was about a team of pilots in charge of operating giant robots used to defend the Earth from monsters. Del Toro was interested in casting Hunnam for the project after meeting the Sons of Anarchy star for Hell Boy 2.
The filmmaker didn’t think Hunnam was right for that film, but down the line he thought he was a good fit for Pacific Rim. He offered Hunnam the lead in the movie after a lengthy meeting.

Despite having risen to fame six decades ago, The Beatles still remain a household name today. The quartet, comprised of Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lennon, and Ringo Starr, had plenty of hits together, solo, and even with other artists — the latter of which were not always so clearly known.
Every now and then, The Beatles were known to disguise themselves under silly pseudonyms and take part in other bands’ tracks. George Harrison was no exception; his fans might be surprised to learn he had a number of secret collaborations.

The Rolling Stones remain one of the most legendary classic rock bands. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood keep going long after fellow 1960s bands such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd called it a day. They made several No. 1 hits, but four Rolling Stones albums peaked at No. 2 in the United States.

Before covering the Stones’ albums that peaked at No. 2, we need to acknowledge their slew of hit records. They sent nine albums to the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart in their career.
It’s more than just an impressive number. The Rolling Stones had chart-topping albums across three decades. Sixteen years separated their first Billboard No. 1 (1965’s Out of Our Heads) with their most recent (1981’s Tattoo You).

There are many obscure George Harrison songs simply because the former Beatle made the music he wanted. He didn’t make music for the charts or the record companies. His career was haphazard. Here are 10 of the most obscure George Harrison songs.
The Beatles | Dave Hogan/Getty Images 10. ‘Be Here Now’
George liked living in the moment, so “Be Here Now” held a special place inside for him. It’s a very gentle song, almost spiritual. In his 1980 memoir, I Me Mine, George wrote that he almost fell asleep with his guitar in hand while writing the calming tune. The melody came fast, and a “funny” story called “The Transformation of Richard Alpert into Baba Ram Das” inspired the lyrics. The way George sings “be here now” sounds Indian.
9. ‘Deep Blue’

Beatles songs are constantly utilized or referenced in pop culture. A majority of these songs were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. While George Harrison wrote a few classic Beatles tracks, his successful solo career proved he was a phenomenal artist outside of the fab four. His songs became iconic and were used in many movies and TV shows to improve certain scenes.
George Harrison | Dave Hogan/Hulton Archive/Getty Images Here are 5 of the best uses of George Harrison songs in movies and television ‘What is Life’ – ‘Goodfellas’
“What is Life” is one of George Harrison’s most recognizable songs, particularly due to the catchy chorus. In Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, the song is used during a montage scene where Henry (Ray Liotta) is stressing over a drug operation. He is trying to complete an illegal task while dealing with police paranoia and an apathetic teen to who he gives too much responsibility.

Since the beginning of the Harry Potter franchise, fans have always wanted more. From the J.K. Rowling books came the movies, the Wizarding World theme park at Universal, Pottermore, and the Fantastic Beasts films. But one thing fans haven’t received? A long-awaited Mauraders prequel. Years ago, a Marvel actor was fan-cast as Harry’s dad, James Potter. But he’s since aged out of the role.
‘Harry Potter’ fans have wanted a Marauders prequel for years
I am open to any and all #HarryPotter content but what I really Want is a #Marauders prequel … let me see James, Sirius, Remus and Peter in school, younger #dumbledore, introduce some new characters, etc.

Since the beginning of the series, Harry Potter fans have subsisted on tidbits from the Marauders’ Era, which follows James Potter (Harry’s father), Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and Sirius Black throughout their time at Hogwarts in the 1970s.

In 1987, George Harrison said he was amazed he’d “gotten this far.” He’d managed to get through 10 hectic and sometimes dangerous years as a Beatle and navigated his post-Beatles life successfully.
George Harrison | Dave Hogan/Getty Images George Harrison thought it was ‘quite remarkable’ that The Beatles still had their sanity and sense of humor
As George told Rolling Stone, The Beatles did a hit-and-run. One minute they appeared, made tons of hits and albums, toured the world, met everyone, and did everything a rock star did. The next minute it was all over, and each of the Fab Four was going their separate ways.
George said they came out of the 1960s “shell-shocked.” Later, what frustrated George was that no one understood that. So much had happened, and once it was all over, people wanted the group to reunite. George kept his head down into his solo career,...

Solo said Chmerkovskiy “was extremely apologetic” but that the blow was “powerful enough that her ears rang afterwards.” This is not Ok.

Warning: Possible casting and plot spoilers both for Misfits and Game of Thrones ahead.
It's tough doing an oversees phone interview with U.K. actors when the connection is spotty and the Olympics festivities are going on full blare in the background. But Misfits stars Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Iwan Rheon were game if we were, and it was particularly sporting of Rheon as he's no longer even on the series. (He left at the end of Season 3 when his character traveled back in time.) But Rheon is thrilled that American TV audiences are finally getting to see the show [now airing on Logo] since he and the rest of the Misfits cast and crew "put so much work into it, and so much love."
Here's six things we learned via our chat that might interest fans of Misfits, Iwan Rheon, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett... and even...

When you're planning parties this big, it helps to get started early. That's why MTV is already sending out a save-the-date on its two biggest nights for 2012: the Video Music Awards and the MTV Movie Awards.
Yes, there's still plenty of time, but we might as well tell you now that the Movie Awards will air live on Sunday, June 3, 2012, from Los Angeles and the Video Music Awards will air live four months later on Sunday, September 9.
Both shows are coming off incredible 2011 airings that provided the usual allotment of unexpected and unpredictable moments. This year's VMAs scored MTV's biggest audience in the network's history with a record-breaking 12.4 million total viewers, goosed, no doubt, by one of the most riveting moments in recent pop history: Beyoncé's baby-bump reveal.

Amy Winehouse

Some stars seem born to be in the spotlight, thriving in the attention and adulation of their adoring fans and finding a way to navigate the downsides of intense public scrutiny with seeming ease. Others, such as troubled singer Amy Winehouse, appear to have difficulty handling the harsh spotlight and retreat into a destructive cycle of substance abuse and self-harm from which they never return.
Winehouse died at age 27 on Saturday. And though her cause of death has not been determined, it would seem with her sadly short career, which saw her rocket from obscurity in 2006 to tragic demise just five years later, she is the latest example of an artist for whom fame was to be too much, too soon.

But just days after Winehouse's death at age 27 of yet-undetermined causes, she is already being spoken of as an iconic singer whose unique fusion of jazz, soul, R&B, girl-group swing and hip-hop swagger has inspired a whole generation of singers.
"I think that her success at the time when Back to Black came out here, and the aftermath of that, continues [to have an impact]," said Sirius satellite radio host Jenny Eliscu, a contributing editor at Rolling Stone magazine who wrote a cover story on Winehouse in 2007 that chronicled the then 23-year-old's chaotic personal life. Of course, in the wake of Winehouse's death on Saturday, Ronson's words took on newfound meaning. Because no matter how Winehouse is remembered, her music will always be her lasting legacy.

Even after going to rehab, troubled singer Amy Winehouse can't seem to get her act together. The 27-year-old, who has been plagued by substance abuse issues for much of her career, has canceled a series of European appearances after a disastrous kick-off show on Saturday at Belgrade, Serbia's Forest Fest.
Appearing unsteady on her feet and seemingly drunk — after reportedly showing up more than an hour late — Winehouse repeatedly left the stage during the 90-minute performance, seemed to forget the lyrics to many of her songs, dropped the mic, clutched at her stomach and face at points and reached out to hug her bandmates as fans booed the woozy set. To make matters worse, she addressed the disgruntled crowd of 20,000 by saying, "Hello, Athens."

There were all sorts of highlights on Wednesday night's "American Idol," as the top five contestants went for broke, covering everyone from Lady Gaga to Montgomery Gentry with memorable results.
And all the vocal pyrotechnics kicked off with James Durbin's rousing, arena-ready take on 30 Seconds to Mars' "Closer to the Edge," which earned him high praise from judge Steven Tyler (a guy who knows a thing or two about filling arenas), who told him, point blank, "I think you kicked that song's ass."
Of course, while Durbin was powering through their song, 30 Seconds to Mars were somewhere between Montreal and Toronto on their never-ending Closer to the Edge Tour. And it turns out they had no idea the presumed "Idol" front-runner had decided to cover their song.

Just days after the Grammy Awards, some of music's biggest names crossed the pond and hit the red carpet for the 2011 Brit Awards in London. The fashions on display were definitely all about embracing your personal style and kicking it up 10 or so notches.
Check out all the hot Brit Awards red-carpet fashions here.
Rihanna looked like the living embodiment of her colorful "S&M" video in her Dior Haute Couture gown. A rainbow of colors including purple, turquoise and lime green, the dress was shocking and yet incredibly feminine thanks to tulle and bow detailing.

After taking home the Album of the Year honors at the Grammys, Arcade Fire continued their winning ways at the Brits, snagging a pair of trophies — which were crafted by designer Vivienne Westwood — for Best International Album and Best International Group.
