Fire Country (2022)
Liked it until the season 1 finale
It's a good show, a little melodramatic.
The main star passes himself off as Mr perfect. Like he is going to take the moral high ground no matter what.
How the season 1 finale turned out has turned me off of watching season 2.
No way some investigator is going to come in at the last minute to threaten to hold up a parole of another inmate unless the main character makes himself the sacrificial lamb
Enough of the self righteousness of the main character. It's ok in small doses but not all the freaking time.
I'm not going to go thru a whole season again for him to end up in the same place
I don't have time for that.
Hijack (2023)
Basically an 1.5 hour movie stretched over 6 episodes
Basically an 1and half hour movie stretched over 7 episodes.
It was good, but could have of just made a good movie.
That is what streaming service is about ,you want to marathon it, however Apple stretched it out over weeks. ( Obviously for water-cooler talk at office)
When episodes drop once a week, you eventually forget the storyline around episodes 3 and 4.
Edris is good, but you dislike him the first episodes and then the passengers start getting stupid.
The government officials do things that wouldn't happen in real life, especially after 911.
Basically everyone is an idiot in the show
It's watchable.
Halloween Kills (2021)
Come on man !!!!!! Spoilers Ahead
I know with these horror movies you're supposed to check your brain at the door, but come on man !!!!!!
First of all, Michael survives a house on fire and kills 11 firefighters. Eight of them all at once. These are firefighters with axes and saws and Michael takes them all out. Come on man !!!!!!!
Then Michael survives being on top of a car, with two armed women. One of them runs out of bullets, while the other one somehow is far away from the car and shoots at the driver's seat but does not hit Michael at all? Only to accidentally shoot herself? Come on man!!!!
And finally, Michael surrounded by about 20 townspeople on all four sides. Most all have bats or sticks. A couple of them have guns. They all beat on him, One guy puts about four or five bullets in him. Judy Greer puts a big butcher knife into his back while he is laying on the ground. This is shortly after being stabbed in the gut several times plus having a pitchfork in his back. Then they all turn their back on him and he grabs the knife from his backand takes out 20 people. They all don't dogpile on him, they come at him one by one.
Come on man !!!!!
To give Halloween Kills a little credit, it does have some good kills. It has some good Easter Eggs and call backs to the original Halloween 1 and 2.
Oh well I'll just wait for their next cash grab movie, Halloween Ends.
Without Remorse (2021)
Enough of the Wokeness casting stunts already.....
I was willing to give Michael B Jordan a chance because he typically is a good actor, but just terrible casting of Jodie Turner Smith as Lt Commander. As leader of a Seal Team ? Really?
First of all she is not believable and she is a bad actress and delivers wooden dialog .
Script is typical and some of the actors are phoning it in.
This is obviously a vanity project to show the liberals in Hollywood how woke they are.
Swing Low (2019)
WTF? The ending sucked.
Going to spoil the ending so you don't have to sit thru this movie that could have been good with a better ending
So don't read any further if you still want to watch.....
The girl doesn't shoot the main bad guy liked she should have . Bad guy feeds her boyfriend to the pigs
Bad guy sews her up in stomach of dead cow.
She is in hospital with 3rd degree burns from cows digestive acid.
We don't know how she was rescued or ends up at hospital.
Apparently bad guy survived and lives on to torture.
There, saved you about 2 hours of your time from watching this.
The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020)
Good movie, but does have bias leanings
Keep in mind , who wrote and directed this movie, Aaron Sorkin. While a very good writer, his political leanings are extremely far left.
So this is his interpretation of the events that happened during the trial.
He tends to showcase those characters that share his feelings, as the hero.
Take the meaning of this movie with a grain of salt.
