Dumb mindless and over the top guilty pleasure movie
3 March 2019
I don't really know what to say about this film. It's stupid, random, mindless, violent, and over the top. The story is awful, the villain is trash, the tune is a mixed mess of trying to be dark and edgy while at the same time being silly and humorous, the effects are poor, and some of the acting is terrible and meme worthy. And yet it's so fun and entertaining to watch. The action is great and Ray Stevenson plays a pretty kick-ass Punisher. As a quality film it's terrible. But as a fun action movie to enjoy it definitely satisfies. Turn off your brain and don't take it seriously at all as a movie and have a good time.

The Punisher (2004)

Underrated classic
3 March 2019
Probably the only descent live action Punisher movie. And definitely underrated. Only major problem with the film is the lack of action, generic underdeveloped villian, and them spending too much time developing the punisher's origin story. However, it has a good cast, nice visuals, descent story, and memorable scenes. Curios to what a sequel would have looked like.

Meh the director's cut was okay
3 March 2019
Not the worst Marvel movie ever, but not really a good movie either. At best it's a fun and entertaining guilty pleasure movie. It has that early 2000's edge and cheesiness. The director's cut really fixes a lot of the movies problems but not all of it. There are a couple dumb scenes that take you out of the movie and the cgi is pretty dated. However most of the cast does a pretty good job with the roles they are given and the movie does a quick and simple job at telling the origin story. Some of the visuals and art designs are also pretty great and the action sequences still hold up. Overall, only watch the director's cut and don't take it to seriously.

Needs more

This isn't the worst movie ever, nor is it as bad as I thought it would be. But it defiantly could have been better. One major problem with the movie is that it's to short and doesn't really have much going on. There's very little character development and for movie that's supposed to be a hood movie there's very little action. At times the movie just feels boring and to keep you entertained they either play loud rap music or have a sexual scene. If anything, the only reason this movie even seemed to receive any attention was because it stars 50 Cent and features a sex scene with some eye candy actress to turn on the fanboys. The movie just feels like one long video of 50 Cent showing how ''gangsta'' he is. And the ending to the movie feels very rushed and anti-climactic.

Batman (1989)

Amazing classic that still holds up well
21 February 2019
This movie is a classic and is definitely one of the best Batman movies. Almost everything about it is great. The story, the acting, the characters, the visuals, the music, and art designs are all so well done. Tim Burton was a great choice to direct a Batman movie. Danny Elfman's theme score for Batman is amazing and arguably the iconic music for the character. The story is simple and fun. And overall the best thing about the movie are the two main stars/characters: Michael Keaton's Batman and Jack Nicholson's Joker. Both of these actors did a great job in playing their characters and fit the roles spot on. Keaton does a great job at capturing the whole dark and intimidating persona of Batman. And Jack Nicholson does an amazing job at capturing the whole funny and over the top persona of The Joker. If you're a Batman fan you will definitely enjoy this.

Underrated sequel that doesn't deserve some of the backlash
21 February 2019
As someone who is huge fan of Batman, I must say this movie really doesn't deserve some of the backlash it has gotten over the years. It's by no means a perfect movie (and admittedly it does pale in comparison to the previous movie), but it is definitely not a bad movie. My only major problem with this movie is some elements of the story. The writing is pretty flawed and some parts of the story need better explanations. But overall everything else about this movie is great and still holds up. The visuals and art designs in this movie are great and the music is amazing. The movie is also more action packed and fun than the first one. The cast also does a really great job in their roles and are arguably the best thing about the movie. Michael Keaton plays a great mysterious Batman, Michelle Peiffer plays a great sexy Catwoman, and Danny Devito was a perfect casting choice for the Penguin. Both Catwoman and The Penguin are great scary and tragic villains with personality and Batman is badass in this movie. The movie also has lots of memorable moments that keep you entertained and is overall the most dark and mature Batman movie we have ever seen. People complain about the movie being dark but it's a Batman movie. What did they expect? He's supposed to be dark. Overall, definitely an underrated sequel.
