Shameless (2011–2021)

Loved the show expect the Trevor character

I love the show. It's very captivating. The actors are really good. It's also hilarious.

There are some points I didn't really like or it was not plausible like throwing Frank to the lake and leave or Ian character that was changed way too much suddenly. Trevor character is the worst choice. I never press forward on this show but I can't stand the Trevor's character. It's ruining the credibility of the show. There is zero chemistry with Ian. I've seen this character in another tv show and he was also very annoying due to his acting with the constant weird smile and the way he talks to people. Really ruined it specially after mickey where both actors could play real chemistry.

Atlanta (2016–2022)

Childish Gambino needs to grow up

I rated 10 for the first season and came back to change it to 1.

I liked the first two seasons but then it's just so discriminating. I am not even white but I stopped watching this becuase it feels bad.

Talking about racism is very important but treating people with disrespect and hatred and say they are dumb and stupid because of their skin color, doesn't make anyone, even human rights activists be part of your game.

I don't know how Donald Grover's wife is taking this but he definitely hates people because of their skin color. If I was a white actor, I would refuse to play in this show and act dumb,

You need to grow up Childish Gambino. This is not how we fight injustice by doing the exact same thing.

Fire Country (2022– )

Great actors, aweful screenwriters

The actors are good but the way they fight fires is NOT accurate and you don't need to be a firefighter to notice that.

They talk while the fire gets everywhere, they are so slow. The way the rescue people doesn't make sense. You can literally see how they can release someone traped but they do some weird rescue that doesn't make sense at all. The ambulances are coming so late.

Also going to a house in fire without any mask and long hair out, we've seen in many fire fighters show that this is not how it works.

Besides that, someone with kidney disease drinks beer is the weirdest scene for me.

Casting error : Manny looks too young to be Gabriela's father. He's 48, she's 34 in real life! It's not plausible for me.

So I like the actors because they are good but the screenwriting should be really improved and collaborate with real fire fighters to write more accurate stories. Also about the other stories, the guy leaves when his sister is dead but he's in prison for 4y for trying to rob someone and he changes his name while there. The stories accuracy is like a soap, real telenovela but the actors are good so they make the inaccurate more credible with their good acting. They deserve better.

True Detective (2014– )

All seasons are masterpieces

I loved all the seasons. Now watching season 4 which is totally different than the others as there is horror added to it and it's something I usually never watch but the intrigue is so well put in place than it takes all your attention.

Everything in this show is thought in details, the Story, the camera, special effects, the actors are outstanding actors in every season. It's impossible to find anything negative to say about this TV serie when you see the work behind it. It's just a masterpiece. Can't wait the next episode and can't wait for a season 5 and 6 and 7... Thank you for such a great work 👌

Virgin River (2019– )

Bad acting of Alexandra Breckenridge

Season 1 was fine and it started to get worse every season.

First I thought the screenwriting was not good because most stories don't make sense like she is already pregnant 8 weeks while Charmaine is just 5 months pregnant and she says to her sister it's too soon to marry someone. Anything that happened to anyone in this town already happened to her. She brings back everything to herself. As a main character of a show, it's pretty weird to have a self centered character. She is not the lovely person jack fell in love with in season 1 so I don't understand he is like under constant pressure with a girl he just met and it's still in love ?! That's too far from reality to be accepted even in a fiction.

Mel went from indépendant to very annoying and needy person but then season 3, 4 and 5 I personally feel it's her acting that is most annoying besides the screenwriting. I read some comments in other websites where people exactly felt the same.

She has a whiny voice but not all the time so she pretends to have this voice as it's not her usual voice. She acts very arrogant when she treats patients but this is since season 1 and I don't think it's the director asking her to act weird. Or maybe it is but whatever it is, it's weird. We are not supposed to get annoyed by the main character of a tv serie.

To summerize she makes me comes out of the fiction and think about her bad acting and weird voice. She should have been corrected by the director.

The Flight Before Christmas (2015 TV Movie)

Awful casting

Usually the only thing you wait on a romantic movie is that you want them to kiss because the whole movie is about chemistry but in this movie you just hope this never happens. They don't match and there is no chemistry. Mayim bialik is the last person to cast for a romantic movie. She can't even act romantic. I really didn't want to say things like that but seriously this was so horrible to watch. The casting could have saved the bad screenwriting and the fact that nothing nade sense, but they totally lost everything by matching two people who don't match at all. Didn't you ever think why she was a good match with Sheldon ?! For the same reason she's not a good match for a romantic movie.

I can't understand that poeple make movies like this.

Praising objectifying men, being materialistic and selfish

So Objectifying men, being materialistic and acting selfish is being woke ?

Where is the authenticity?

It's all about sad rich alcoholic women who treats men with less respect than their toys. It's disturbing to watch.

Equality is about respecting everybody no matter their gender or social status. It's not about treating men like toys and call it women's power.

I am disturbed that every show no matter if the actors are in their 20s or 50s are all about the same subjects.

Too much about pronouns, sex with people treated like toys. Women dismissing what a man want also in the relationship because it's all about women. I'm a woman and atheist so it's not about taboo or whatever, but I'm for equality and we cannot reach equality by dismissing others.

TO THE SCEEENPLAY WRITERS: STOP SPREADING THIS DISGUSTING MENTALITY.

Asteroid City (2023)

Loved it

What a casting! Edouard Norton, Tom Hanks, Scarlet Johanson, Adrian Brody... and so many other talented actors and actresses.

What a Screenwriting, the camera and photography...

Everything in this movie is meticulously thought out.

It questions our lives, beliefs, existance and power no matter our ages and social status.

It's a masterpiece. Don't miss it.

You need to pay attention to the dialogs to understand the metaphors. Otherwise you will miss the point as I could read in many reviews.

So I'd say : go watch it and pay attention to everything. I'm glad movies like this still exists. Thanks.

Sistas (2019– )

Very bad screenwriting and directing

Nothing makes sense, nothing is even 1% plausible.

Several times I asked myself why I am watching this.

Andy's acting is really the worst. When she has to talk she just look. Don't know if it's a bad acting or she forget her lines or it's just a way of soap acting. Because many are just there hanging without talking or doing anything.

Zac is losing blood and ask to call the police and the Lisa is asking silly questions without calling. It's really none sens at all.

If you make a show about single women, don't put the one that can't even act bright as the lawyer. Sabrina would fit more as the lawyer.

Dany and Zac acting are the best, they deserve better than this show.

Station 19 (2018–2024)

Adaptation of CNN on a TV show?

I used to love the show, but lately it's like watching CNN on a TV show. It hurts enough watching all these hate crimes while in lockdown. Our only distraction is to watch a TV show and the show became all about the actual news, and only the bad news. Of course they are important subject to talk about but considering the actual pandemic situation, people need to distract with something more fun or different then the cruel reality we are living at the moment. I don't say this as a person who don't care about what is happening because I do because I am also concerned personally. But for a TV show, it's kind of be all about who did the covid test, who got the vaccine who died of covid-19... this week I couldn't sleep watching CNN in Europe to see if there is any justice for George Floyd. I watch the the whole trial, and it puts me in a very bad depression that I had to take day off from work to rest and calm down. And now I'm watching this episode and it's all about everything that puts me into depression. The cruel reality. Anyway all this to say that it's important to talk about these subjects but not to make all the episodes about exact reality that we are leaving at the moment that is already hard enough to handle.

The pregnant Isabella was too predictable

I love this show but I don't know why true lovers are always falling apart and get back together when it's too late, like in the fosters. It would be nice at least some just argue but not fall apart that badly like this Isabella pregnancy. Also doesn't look like he wouldn't use condoms for a one night thing. It ruins a bit the credibility. Specially when since the first minute she beg him for sex. However I still love the show but will probably press forward the Isabella part.

Great actors in a nonsense scenario. The dude has opium in his front garden and he doesn't know it even if he's an old addict. He's a truck driver with a anxious weird CEO who would definitely never be into someone like him. The rob a diamond like this, without any scort. :D I can't understand that actors like this did such a nonsense movie. It doesnt mean anything. It's not accurate. I think they had the same flower in their garden when they accepted to do the movie.

Don't waste your time.

Grace and Frankie (2015–2022)

Hilarious for any age

To resume : Funny, great writers, outstanding actors It's hiarious the way that you really lough loud. Today at the Season 1 episode 12, I was wondering how they could finish a scene without laughing. The actors are outstanding. Must watch :D

Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)

Much better than I could ever expect !

This movie is much better than I could ever expect ! It respects the artist and his personality. he was a real sunshine who wanted to see people happy around him and you can feel it inside the movie theater. It's not like all the rock stars that you see how they went to drug and the dark side of their personality, it really shows him as a human being with mistakes and defects but a great personality to always be loyal to himself and others. Rami Malek is truly a great actor, I totally got into the character even if I know hom from two other roles. I couldn't believe I would get out of this movie theater and kind of love life and think that weeeeeeeee are the champions my friend ;) Just go and see it. Amazing cast and director, very well done. I'll definitely watc it many more times, didn't even want to leave the theater at the end, literrally never happened to me.

Boston Legal (2004–2008)

I love this show

Today in 2018 I was thinking about one episode when they went to a British Court and they were wearing wig and I'm still laughing. This show is definitely funny. I watched it because it was the same director than Ally McBeal and it's really well done. Even the bad people are great. Very good actors. Truly love it, you won't waste your time seeing it ;)

This episode is a copy of Grey's anatomy, the cyber attack, the power shut down, putting the new born babies together... The acting is good but the writing seems to be a copy. I liked the first season though.

Caterina Scorsone's acting is unacceptable

I can't understand how a director can accept this kind of acting. Caterina Scorsone's acting is unacceptable. She shows emotions by moving her jaw and neck. She talks and walk weirdly. she has lots of fake manners that brings me oyt of the show like I could see the cameras and a desperate director. Why no one do anything about her acting. Why when all the cast are good actors, she is still there not at all credible as a surgeon or anyone who has ever been to school. Amelia Owen is neither credible; Her acting is really bad, please teach her some acting or at least she moves less her mouth and jaw. And talk like she has a denture. How isn't she ashamed of acting like this in the middle of all the other actors ? I'm sorry to sounds mean but she is ranked as the most hated character of the show, it's not for nothing. It's not the character the problem, is her poor acting. I can't believe I press forward each time she is on the screen to avoid knowing about her character. Please do something about this if you read this as a director, or Catarina, sorry to be so franc but your acting needs to be seriously improved. Take it as a good advice.

Narcissistic misandre women who got it all by cheating jalousy and being disloyal

Seriously, in which world women acting like that have this kind of life (and I'm one and a feminist one) ? Abby's caracter is narcissistic, egoist, and fighting litterally with everyone because she is jalous and controlling and bipolar and she is the main caracter... Another leave her great boyfriend because she doesn't want to get married of have kids and then she go to FIV as soon as she dumb him ! The list is long but this show, in the real world doesn't make sens. Please tell me which asshole could ever act like mike does even under torture, well it's kind of torture this relationship. However, first season was really nice, but little by little everything got weird and the last season you just watch to see if abby could eventually die by accident. It's doesn't worth it.

Lucy Hale's bad acting is destroying the show

Lucy Hale's bad acting and voice is just killing the show. Also it's not very well written, lots of things doesn't make sens. But however the show could have been successfull if Lucy Hale would be replaced with her sister or anyone able to show some feeling or emotion. Sorry to say that for her, but you should work on your caracter. She doesn't act like the way should act this caracter. Her voice is tiring. Elliot Knight is really acting is really well and it's weird because it doesn't feel real face to someone who is acting with NO emotions. I think they should rewrite this story and change the main character...

Taboo (2017)

Taboo is the kind of show that I would ever watch after reading the storyline. But I thought it could be great if it's played by an amazing talented actor. I was surprised to be able to watch it no matter the violence and the scary parts because I was really intrigued about the whole story.

And then at the episode 7, I found it so well done that I came to IMDb to check who is the writer and director to watch what else they've done and I was really surprised to see that it's Tom Hardy himself.

I definitely recommend it, because it's about many different interesting subjects and they have payed attention on each one of them. Well written, well played, there is loyalty, love, compassion, racism, justice, poverty, hope, fear, courage, madness, society and taboo...

Really well done, thank you for the hard work.

Star (2016–2019)

Change the writers and it'll be fine

The writing is very very poor. It doesn't make sens at all, even really hard to believe. Also hard to believe that it even crossed their minds as it's too far from reality and it's not SF. There is a huge lack of coherence. Dancing in front the police, the whole killing things, the families, the songs writing just before the show... actually nothing make sens and sometimes it's pathetic. You can't avoid saying few WTF for each episode.

I put 5 for the actors at least, most deserve better. By the way Naomie is a good actress.

I really don't like to say negative things or hurt anyone it's sad because it's more written to make quick money than to make something really good. It's a pity because these actors could really make a good show.

Eat Pray Love (2010)

Change your perception because this movie could open your eyes

I saw so many bad comments that I felt obliged to write a comment. Most of the people think that you have no right to feel unhappy or not yourself when you have a husband and a house and a good job... when you fit in the norm of "successful people" ! Most of the comments I saw were : Selfish girl ! why ? If you want to love others, and it's not a stupid quote, you really should know a little yourself and love yourself as you are... Otherwise, when you are unable to know the meaning of love toward yourself, you can't share it !

Many people are depressed and they even feel guilty and go to their psychologist to find out why they feel so empty while they have everything other people want to have ! and here we are, in a society that most of the people are depressed ! This is not the real life for many people. You feel empty as she said, she doesn't enjoy little things of life, she doesn't enjoy eating, she take care of what she eats to keep a nice body that fit in the "norms" of the society she lives in.

So she try to find herself and once she found herself and enjoy little things, she is scared that someone come and take all this out of her !

This movie is about learning to love yourself, what really moves you, what is deep inside you, forgive yourself and accept your defects and fears...

I really didn't expect to see such a movie with Julia Roberts. I didn't expect that it could moves me on. I didn't even expect that it could wake me up at some point. I maybe found the eating part too long but at the end you understand why...

I wouldn't say the picture was perfect, but as the movie teach you, nothing is perfect and nobody should look for it, just to feel things with your heart !

This movie, really, opened my eyes again and it was perfect at a moment that you are in a process to leave everything you have to start a new life that is really for you...

Wrecked (2010)

The real story is in the trailer !

Adrien Brody did an excellent job and I wonder if without him this movie would even exist !

The problem is that in the trailer, we can see that he is a hostage ! This should have been absolutely avoided as the whole story is about the main character questioning himself who he is and what he has done ! There would be more suspense for us to find it out with him.

So I was not captivated by the story, but if he will find out that he is not the one he thinks he is...

As other people suggested, I think this would be a nice short movie. Thanks to Adrien Brody's talent, I could watch it until the end. My vote is more for the actor.

A Map for Saturday (2007)

Travelling in hostels

It's a great movie. It's true that a backpacker trip in hostels gives you these kind of experiences but it's totally different if you avoid hostels and use couchsurfing, or just walk in a street to find a host or stay at local people's houses. I've traveled both way, stay with locals and go to hostels and believe me, it's absolutely not the same trip at all. You learn much less about the country, specially when you begin to move around with other backpacker, you become a group of tourists for the local people and you don't experience the real life and culture of the locals and they are also different to you in that way. The less you meet people who speaks the same language than you, the more you get to know the country and their people as you have to find a way to live with these people.

However, the movie, was great and it is really helpful for the people who like to travel to understand that it's not one year holidays... There is almost no comfort but it worth the freedom :)

I gave 8 just because it would be much better to be more with local people than with other travelers in hostels ;)

To the Wonder (2012)

The repetition of the same scenes and the music has discredited the meaning of the movie.

Even if I love Terrence Malick's movies, let's say it in a simple way : it was just boring. Well at my point of view, the philosophy of some part of the movie is nice, but the movie itself could have been much more better done.

Marina is always doing the same running and dancing everywhere, it's getting a bit too much after a while. Jane also does the same movements... Dancing in the fields, kissing, making love in front of the window, you see the same scenes over and over again with both characters... It doesn't really make sens.

(I prefer silent movies of Jarmusch where many things happens and every details has a meaning)

The constant music in the movie is also too much.

Seeing the same scenes and same music made you somehow disconnect from the movie or almost fall asleep.

Even if the movie has a nice message, the repetition of the same scenes and same music discredit the message.

I watched the interviews with the actors and they all don't know what was the movie about! Olga said she wonders if she was in the movie and her scenes were not cut !

I could never imagine that one day I would be disappointed of a Terrence Malick's movie specially with Javier Bardem.
