Absolutely Amazing!
20 April 2023
Absolutely loved the show. Well directed and felt as if you are in the 1950s.

Actors to watch - Sidhant Gupta playing Jay Khanna, Wamiqa Gabbi playing Nilorfer and Aparshakti Khurana playing Madan Kumar. Sidhant Gupta was a total package. A visual treat along with flawless acting. His passion, his sincerity is visible in his character. Wamiqa Gabbi played a strong headed woman who knows what she wants in life and is unapologetic about it. Even if you would like to not like the character, you will ultimately start appreciating her strong headedness and her guts to live life and aspire what she wants.

Absolutely brilliant
13 February 2022
Everyone acted amazingly well. Story was full of complex characters and each was well played. Chemistry between Deepika and Siddhant was steamy. Deepika has already proven that she is a great actor. Amanda, Siddharth and Dhairya proved in this film that they are worth watching as well. Beautifully written and well executed.

It's watchable

So the storyline involving Aditya Seal could be better. It was kind of up in the air to create a suspense. But Kiara did a pretty good job. This is the second movie of hers in which she was the lead and she did a good job. If the storyline was more defined, then the movie wouldn't have been bad at all. I enjoyed watching it. It was a light movie.

Finally a movie about accepting yourself with your flaws
25 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know if the Indian audience is maturing or Bollywood writers are coming up with better meaningful scripts. But it's an amazing change. We all know that Indian audience takes inspiration from Bollywood movies and holds Indian movie actors in high regard. Finally they came up with a movie which gives a good message and is not just another stupid shahrukh Khan love story in which an actor can be all wrong and stupid but when he realizes his mistake, he still gets the heroine. I loved the part that in the end when Bala confesses his love for Latika, she doesn't go running to him just coz he is the main character. And the whole movie was really well made. Yami Gautam did what she is good for - looking beautiful. Ayushman and Bhumi were the main players in the movie. Their characters made the movie awesome.

A surprise
18 October 2019
I went with no expectations. Actually I went because of the song - ghunghroo. Hrithik Roshan's dance is sexy and awesome as usual. And Vaani Kapoor is mesmerizing. She has never looked as hot n sexy as she did in this song. Music is awesome too..I am addicted to the song.

Let's come to the story. I expected it to be crap but surprisingly it was good. Ofcourse it's a Bollywood movie, so action is over the top. They added background music for pretty much every action scene. Guess that was too much. Now we know that Hrithik Roshan is a brilliant actor, so his part was supposed to be great. Vaani can act. I am sure if she gets more roles, she would prove to be a good actress... Now the biggest surprise was Tiger Shroff. He has finally learnt how to act after , I don't know, how many movies. He did a decent job in this one. He still has long way to go but atleast his acting was not intolerable. He was not just action scenes n dance n superb body. I haven't seen all his movies coz we all know his acting was crap in them. So not sure when did this transformation happen?? But good to see it. All in all...I gave the movie a 7 coz it wasn't a disappointment as I expected it to be.

No translation for South Indian language
25 September 2019
Loving the show till now. As usual Manoj Bajpayee is awesome n remaining characters have also done a wonderful job. But I was really disappointed that there is no translation for the south Indian dialogues. Watching it on Amazon prime and there was no option to view subtitles in any language. Initially it was just some conversation in the first scene of the first episode. But now it seems more important. They should provide translation or do they expect us to learn the language for the show?

James Spader is the best. Megan Boone - not so much.
6 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This show is awesome coz of James Spader and coz of amazing back story the writers have build up surrounding their past. All the other actors have done a great job too except Megan Boone. She has improved over the seasons but her dressing sense has gone absolutely terrible. I think she can be blamed for that terrible wardrobe herself because she said in one of her interviews that since the show has started doing well, she is allowed to decide for herself that what can she wear on the show. And whoever gave her the freedom to do that should reconsider their decision. She is wearing aunty jeans and leather jackets. Has she gone back to 1990s. Young Katarina is also not wearing those horrible jeans when I am guessing that the time period being shown must have been late 1980s or early 1990s. I would say that her acting has improved over the seasons. She is not that wooden anymore. But she still needs to learn a lot. I loved Boston Legal coz of James Spader and loved this show coz of him. He is wonderful actor and should do more shows.

Not bad but could have been better
4 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I am giving a rating of 7 because they took at least 5 episodes to get my interest. I watched the first 3 episodes and it didn't interest me enough to keep watching. Then I tried again. It is a copy of the show sex and the city to an extent. Not that the show sex and the city was awesome. This show could have been really good but it is predictable. They have added angles like Damini's OCD and Sidhi's babygirl fiasco but all the love angles are very predictable. You would expect that Jeh would go back to Myra and he did. You would predict that Samara would not be open about the relationship and she wasn't and then the news would be published about her coming out and it did. This story could have been way better than it is. The last scene about Anjana driving drunk is the worst angle. Do women lose their brains when they become mothers? That's absolutely stupid. I think I m giving it a 7 because thankfully they came out with a show which gives a chance to women to talk openly about sexuality and careers. Being a woman is not just about being a wife and mother.

Wasn't sure what rating to give
19 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The story is not bad but it could have been better. I wasn't sure I should give a rating of 5 The movie was pretty long with too many songs. There is an area shown in the movie which is considered a bad area. They could have shown some reality by not using a decked up set for that area in the movie. We all know that sets and props are used in the movies. But such an exaggerated set makes you think that this looks absolutely unreal. Now we all know that Madhuri Dixit is the best dancer in Bollywood. But her dance on the song Tabah ho Gaye was so horrible that you cannot believe that she did it. Now I don't believe that it was her doing. She must have followed the choreographer's instructions. That choreographer must have been horrible. To make Madhuri Dixit's dance so horrible, he/she has to be worse than the worst choreographer. It's always a pleasure watching Madhuri dance but not in this song.

Aditya Roy Kapur is a good actor n has a good voice but I believe they dubbed his voice. It didn't seem like his voice which was a disappointment.

They wanted to show Varun's character as larger than life. But the story line didn't do justice to his character. It was all very blah blah blah. Though all the actors are known for their acting skills but the story and the director didn't bring out the best in them.

The movie was made too long because of the songs. Rather they should have focussed on developing their characters better. There is a song every 5 minutes.

What was the part about Alia n Aditya giving interview 10 years later about their lives? That should have been directed better as I believe the story was being narrated. It was quite confusing. All in all, this movie could have been way better that it is. I am disappointed big time.

It's a copy
25 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It's a pretty good copy but if you can't make a copy well, then you can't do anything. I just expected more from this director. I saw the Spanish movie - the wedding guest by chance on Netflix n loved it. I thought that maybe the director would change something or add some twists to make it different from the original. But nope. It was an exact copy. The only difference was in the Spanish movie, the guy was the big businessman and the murderer & in this one, they made the woman the big businesswoman and the murderer. I am sure this was done to rope in Big B for the movie. To have him portray the role of a lawyer, they needed a woman to do the job of the murderer. Both of them played their part amazingly well. Tapsee Pannu is an awesome actor. But ultimately it's a copy. So can't rate it more than a 7.

High time
11 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It's high time that someone made a love story about 2 girls. I didn't expect much from the movie after watching the reviews but the movie was great. I was curious to see that how did they manage to make a love story about 2 girls especially about a girl who is based in a small town like Moga Punjab. The movie was well written and we'll directed. Rajkumar Rao was a pleasure to watch as he always is. Everyone did a great job in the movie even Sonam Kapoor. I won't say that she did a brilliant job but it was pretty good. I wasn't disappointed one bit. Rajeev Masand said in his review that they didn't show much about the love story but just about how it's been hidden in the movie. This couldn't have been a typical Shahrukh Khan love story full of love songs n lovers trying to pursuade everyone about their love. They showed the appropriate amount of scenes between the girls to show their love. This is a love story which needs to be accepted by the public first. What could the director have shown beside what she already did? I would not agree with reviews by critics here..after watching the movie, I realized that what all they go through while growing up. Puberty is already tough when you are trying to be a cool kid n trying to be accepted by your peers. If you have to go through this on top of that, it must be really tough and lonely for that person especially in Asian countries. It's considered coming out of the closet. It shouldn't be. It should be considered as normal as a woman dating a man. We need to change the mindset that this is abnormal. It was a brilliant attempt towards changing the mindset. Loved the movie.

Would have given negative points
14 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is absolutely stupid. Why did Dylan McDermott take this movie. I don't understand that. He has come in good shows and movies before. They didn't show that why is the killer going around killing them. He broke the lady's fingers. He was brutal. It seemed like it was the plumber but they didn't show it in the end. This is not an ending you leave your audience with. It had all the horror movie cliches. Very bad writing. I have given spoilers but I would recommend that you can miss this movie.

Worst movie of the year
22 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Do Indian directors do any research before making a movie? It was the crappiest movie of this year. I won't say crappiest movie ever coz I have seen worst. How can a respected scientist fall in love with an uneducated n absolutely illogical person just because he is a dwarf and he did some funny dance for her? And how much money does the father have? They are in Meerut, not in Mumbai or Delhi or in US. When he ran away from home, how come he still had access to his father's money? He was throwing money everywhere in Meerut and then in US too. How can u have almost an year old kid when apparently they had sex just around the time they were getting married. It takes 9 months to make a baby. So if she got pregnant n he had vanished for an year...then baby should not be more than a 3 months old. I m not mentioning every stupid thing they showed in the movie. But there were more at every point in the movie. So if you want to watch a movie made for SRK to show that he is the best thing ever happened to Bollywood, do watch it.

Loved the movie
22 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Ayushman Khurana is awesome. Sanya has a small role but is important. Papa is the best. When he tries to talk in English to Sanya...that's the best scene. The last scene is awesome too. They have captured the birth of the baby beautifully and then Daadi's last dialogue was a sixer. A very well made movie after a long time
