Bitter - Sweet Revenge!!!

Oldboy is a second film in Parks revenge trilogy, and i personally think that is the best one. Also for me it is the best Korean film i saw, and trust me i love Korean cinema. An excellent story directed with a lot of creativity,and visual beauty, chains the viewer to the screen until the end. Great atmosphere supported by excellent music and very good performance from the actors makes this film very interesting to watch. The use of color is also very good.

I watched this film many times, and i advise you to watch it at least twice, cause first time watching, you may find it confusing.

I was reading latest posts from people who watched it, and i get upset with people rating it low, but the final score talks for itself!

Oldboy is an amazing experience, but not suitable for everyone. This days people tend to like crap for the masses, and forget about being original and creative. Many people like films about special effects, rather then anything else. Well i have to say that this film got a lot of style, and bits all this special effect bullshit!!!

The Blackout (1997)

Underrated!

I really think that this film is underrated, since I enjoyed it quiet a lot.The unique Ferraras atmosphere is present in it, and i didn't find it any confusing. Grait acting especially from Denis Hopper is pleasant to watch, and a good soundtrack makes this film even better thrill.

I would advise it to people who like David Lynch, not for surrealism, which is not present here, but for the created mood and atmosphere. Not a regular Hollywood stuff. Althou the plot is quiet easy to follow,Ferarra's ability of doing things his way makes it a great experience for the audience...

Masterpiece!!!!

An extraordinary work that was written by an amazing Russian writer, Vladimir Sorokin, and directed by a young talented Russian director, Ilya Khrzhanovsky. This film is a real trip that starts of with being a funny story, but by the time it ends, leave the viewer shocked among the other feelings! The great directing and sound directing creates an astonishing atmosphere and visual beauty thought the whole film, making it a very "acid" experience. These combined with Sorokins madness, creates a real different trip, for the people who likes good/surreal/different cinema as much as I do. I watched this film many times, but i still didn't get enough. I hope non Russian speakers will enjoy it, and understand the symbolism of some things in it...the dogs, the tractors.....

I rated it 10, and for me it is the best Russian film since quiet a while...Check it out, you wont regret!!!
