Industry (2020)
An enjoyable character driven show
I was pretty much hooked from the beginning. I love character deep dives. I'm sure those who work in finance will be able to shoot holes in the accuracy of how the occupation is portrayed, but this is more about the people than the practice. The people are at the forefront of the storytelling with finance being the catalyst to look deeper into the characters states of mind.
Seeing the recent grads navigate walking into the 'real world' is where my enjoyment comes from when watching Industry. Balancing work and social life after college is a train wreck at times and I think this show portrays some of the angst related to that transition well.
People being all up in arms because of the nudity (people get nude and have sex you know) or lack of adherence to actual finance industry practices are missing the purpose. It's about the people.

Wanted to like it... but couldn't
First things first... Sinbad is the only reason to watch this show and it's way too little of him on screen. The writing is terrible on a different level of terrible. I really wanted to like this but I don't think I've laughed at one joke. Laugh track is painful to listen to. This could have been good. Sad.
