The Boondocks (2005)
This is GOLD!
I cannot enjoy watching other cartoon shows like South Park or Simpsons as much as a typical American. Their atmosphere and jokes are mostly alien and seem pretty dull from a non-US point of view. But this one was a big, HUGE exception.
I must say that I'm very happy for accidentally discovering this series. It felt like finding a treasure inside a dumpster. Highly recommended to all adult viewers especially those who do not take everything personal or easily get offended by profanity. It's a very funny and yet deep, thought-provoking show.
It's unfortunate that this series had only 4 seasons. But as others said, it wouldn't survive in today's environment. So I guess we were lucky overall.

I am not crying... you're crying
Damn those onions. Who's chopping them at this time of night?
I really don't know what to say. Just can't understand why someone would give this movie a 9 or 8 or 7 rating. Let alone those who give it lower ratings or bad reviews. You guys are monsters, or maybe you haven't seen it yet or just binge-watched it while you where bored as hell and thought this one is just another Christmas cliché. I don't know... I just can't understand your logic.
Don't miss this. My only regret is, I wasn't aware that this movie existed and watched it about two years after its release. How could I miss this? Oh God, why?
WolfWalkers (2020)
I will eagerly watch every piece of art created by this team
Song of the Sea is my favorite animation of all time and there is hardly any movie that, IMO, can reach near the level of its enchantment and joy. So I was very pleased to see that the same team has produced another animation. And boy aren't they sorcerers!
I feel that this style of animation is in exact harmony with the stories they tell and I really can't imagine any other way of making them. Any other style would completely ruin the narrative and leads to mediocracy. So keep up the good work guys. Thanks for another masterpiece.
Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts (2020)
Loved it!
From the first minute of the first episode, I got hooked up and guess what... after four hours straight, I was telling myself wow! this one is really worth my time.
Now during the break between season one and two, I came here to say that it was amazing. Can't wait to see the rest. Don't miss it.
Smallfoot (2018)
This was hilarious! Why is it so underrated?
I enjoyed this so much that I rewatched it again immediately after. And I really can't think of a single negative point in the movie. Everything was made to near perfection. The story, the voice acts, and of course, the music. This amount of joy has become so rare these days.
This animation was a proof to the fact that some rappers are a far better choice than the professional voice actors. I am so desperate to get my hands on the soundtrack! Please don't miss this one. It would be a really big loss.
Dick (1999)
A handful of great lines, but cheap overall
It is inevitable that our taste in comedy changes during time. I often see that those movies that were LMFAO comedies some 30 years ago, look so lame by today's standards. This one was no exception.
The story is a parody of the Watergate scandal and Nixon's resignation from the office. Actually, it has some great moments which might make the grumpiest people laugh. Especially the jokes around Kissinger and Nixon himself. But the big problem is, it has no consistency. You may only laugh for at most 10 minutes and that's just it.
The acting is not so great. Almost all of the actors do a poor job in faking emotions and plays, except of course, Michelle Williams who did a fair job. But on the other hand, Kirsten Dunst was horrible, so bad by even the lowest standard.
Watch this one if you have absolutely nothing to do for almost 2 hours and you don't have anything else, or maybe you have a huge crush on either of the actresses and want to get a glimpse of their youth. Otherwise, it is very likely that you find better things to watch.
The Light Between Oceans (2016)
One of the best romantic movies in recent years
Let's be frank. The story is a cliche'. It has plot holes, blah blah blah.
But we are missing a big point if we just focus on that. I mean, why do we watch a movie when the story is already in a book?
That's right. We watch a movie because we want to SEE something. The acts, the scenery, the music, etc.
The acting was superb. Way beyond the expectations. I was really REALLY surprised that none of the actors were on the Oscar list, especially Alicia Vikander (oh, such a lovely girl!). I mean, seriously? You s**kers have such a poor taste.
And the amazing camera work. Just mesmerizing...
I do recommend watching this movie and I will watch it again myself if I get the time.
