Blue Jasmine (2013)
8/10
The film is good, always as colorful as any other Woody Allen film.

Overall thought provoking and poignant, but a little unrealistic. I doubt a woman as troubled as Jasmine would be able to pull of acting so polished and together. The dialogue and acting were stilted at times.

Exquisitely built, so expertly acted and so fearlessly directed.

This was one of the most uncomfortable, unpleasant and heartbreaking films I have ever seen in my entire life. And this well-acted, well-directed, well-shot movie is made even more harrowing when you take into account the fact that this was based off of an autobiography. The slow paced moments that allow you to really take in just how bad black people had it back in those times certainly don't do much to elevate the mood. That poor, poor woman. 12 Years a Slave is not only one of the best, if not THE best, films released in 2013 but possibly one of the most important films to ever be released in the 21st century.

Great documentary with interesting storytelling thread backed by engaging stakeholders, and well researched facts. Exposing stories that may be otherwise less known to people - intriguing and food for thought for sure.

Mystic River (2003)

Clint Eastwood delivers a intense thriller!
11 June 2019
I recently revisited this Eastwood masterpiece and it still remains one of my favourite films of all time. Mystic River is a brilliant murder mystery full of layers but it's also so much more than that. Each character is delicately weaved so that we know their personalities and why they are how they are to a tee. It's stunningly shot and directed with a beautiful score with a wicked script. On the surface it appears to be about the three men and their innocence lost mixed in with ideas about power, retribution and family bonds. The women in mystic river are in fact arguably the more integral part Annabeth, cold in her manner seems to support whatever Jimmy does, she seems ruthless. Celeste seems to be losing her husband and turns from one of the most stable to the most unstable from start to finish and Sean's wife leaves him at breaking point whilst navigating the case. This is one of the best films ever made and the best Clint Eastwood film.

Absolutely epic movie and trilogy.

War (as arguably miss-titled as it is) is once again on top of its game, with a more intense story, the effects looking better than ever, some genuine surprises and shocking moments, and the A-game acting. This trilogy has truly ended on a high note

FANTASTIC
12 May 2019
Platoon is a Vietnam war film directed by Oliver Stone. Really good actors. Really good acting especially from Charlie Sheen as Chris. Really good characters like Willem Defoe as Sergeant Elias. Very good chemistry between the characters. Very good cinematography with some really good shots. Really good setting Ive personally always loved war films. Great set design and props. Really good costume design with the war outfits. Really good makeup with the dead bodys and the blood. Very good story. Very good music that fits the scenes. Good comedy between the characters. Really good atmosphere from start to finnish. Really good action that is directed really well. Very suspenseful one scene even made me jump. The film is also very emotional. Over all I give it a 9/10 - so close

Lupt (2018)

Excellent horror film with a great story and brilliant acting from Jaaved Jaaferi and Vijay Raaz
22 November 2018
Lupt is spooky and intriguing and is truly one of those movies that requires special mention for its effort in making a genuine horror movie with great story line. Although the acting are seasoned lightly with flaws, the premise of the movie is both attention catching and solid. I'll give a full credit to director Prabhuraj for successfully creating a creepy feeling, on this isolated road. Brilliant acting from Jaaved Jaaferi and Vijay Raaz. The darkness created is good and entertaining without any dull moment. i give 7/10
