Halloween Ends (2022)
Another movie built up by trailers and history, don't get your hopes up.
Myers vs Strode, the epic showdown between brother and sister, this story began in 1978 and will come to a culmination in this trilogy.
Personally, I was dissatisfied with this film. I wasn't satisfied with the way this story was written. The acting and directing were both impeccable, but the writing was not so much. Paul Brad Logan, Chris Bernier, Danny McBride, and David Gordon, at what point did they high-five each other for completing the screenplay? That high-five should never have transpired. Five minutes into the film, I could explain the whole storyline. It ended ok, but the film could have been so much better with different writers. They are professionals, not me. I'm just a viewer and a reviewer.
Hillbilly Elegy (2020)
Diamond, must watch film, Semper Fi Brother
Ron Howard directed a film that I believe will get a lot of Academy award talk in Hillbilly Elegy, written by J.D. Vance and Vanessa Taylor.
Amy Adam (Bev) put on an Academy award performance in this film hands down, I was angry at her the entire movie, she portrayed Bev flawlessly. Glenn Close, as Mamaw who helped raise J.D. was almost unrecognizable, she two put on an Academy award performance. Gabriel Basso as J.D. Vance, Academy award performance. The chemistry in this film is so fluent that it tugs at your heart, it's a clean film with no nudity. Ron Howard is still the man anything he touches turns to gold. The story of J.D. Vance and the struggles that he endured and persevered. Overall outstanding film and true-life story of J.D. Vance.
Semper Fi Brother.
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Chess Has Never Been displayed In a More Brilliant and Seductive Way. Please Watch
The Queen Gambit is the intriguing untold story of Beth Harmon, an orphan who became a chess prodigy due to the untimely death of her mother in a car accident. Beth was a perspicacious child, one day Beth was cleaning erasers in the basement of the Orphanage and observed Mr. William Shabil, the maintenance man playing chess versus himself, and was fascinated. She became inquisitive and begged Mr. Shaibel to teach, bewildered by how fast Beth picked up the game and how clever she was. Mr. Shablil being to teach and mentor Beth not in chess, but also about life.
After being adopted, Beth would go to a private school where she felt out of place until she was able to play a game of chess that lead her to be Crowned, the Kentucky Chess Champion.
Beth would go on to compete with her adoptive mother Alma Wheatly at her side up to Grandmaster statues.
Of course, like most other inclined and talented people, this all came with a price. Beth had a secret addiction to alcohol and Librium.
The setting of this story took place from 1948 to 1968. Mr. Walter Tevis originally wrote a novel titled The Queen Gambit about the young prodigy in 1983. Netflix released a mini-series in 2020.
His House (2020)
A HORRIFIC GAME CHANGER IN THE HORROR GENRE
His house is a film about an African couple that is escaping the murderous rage that's taking place in their country seeking asylum in London, but the true story lies within the life making decision they had to make to get to London, will come back to hunt them? This is by far one of the scariest movies I've seen in a dog's age. If you are frightened easily, watch this film during the day or with companions.
Surprisingly, a clean film with no nudity or foul language, but petrifying.
Felicity Evans's authorship is impeccable, I look forward to watching Percival, another film that she has out this year. Actor and actress Sope Dirisu and Wunmi Mosaku played the rolls flawlessly both have had roles in other movies and series. As for me, I believe that you'll be seeing a lot more of these two. This film is a must-watch as well as a game-changer in the horror genre.
The Lie (2018)
WTF, Best Crime, Drama, Thriller of the YEAR
This is a great film over all if anything else is said in this review it would give away the greatness of the suspense.
Océans (2008)
Both Splendid and Delightful
Oceans, this 2009 Disney documentary, that is both interesting and informative, educating us about Marine life and how we all can co-exist.
A very informative documentary that anyone with a family should watch as a whole. The narrator has the perfect voice and is well educated, the score was beautiful, and the cinematography was excellent.
It's just a shame that our selfish demands continue to affect our environment and the rest of the planet and animal life around us. Please sure this doco with your children.
Alone (2015)
Thrilling, Mind-Blowing, Interesting Stimulation, Exhilarating,Impressive, Fascination
Alone season is very competitive, well worth your time watching.
All of the competitors have great survival skills, it just some seem to find a way of the competition because they no longer want to be ALONE.
I hope this show continues for years to come.
The Remains (2016)
Unsure how this film made it to the big screen, or any screen for that matter. Waste of time.
John(Todd Lowe) moves his family into a new Victorian home to escape the reality of his wife passing away.
Little did John know, his new home was once the home of a psychic, and seances were once held there, and due to an unforeseen death the home is now hunted.
The acting in the film his bad, but you do get to see young Victoria (Hanna Nornberg) play her role. This movie goes know where, but there are a few scares.
The lighting and setting were okay for this film, but the make-up and costumes were amateur.
There are two sex screens in this film,
Psychosynthesis (2020)
Slow, tortoise like, Melodramatic and never goes anywhere
In a perfect world, this movie would still be a waste of time.
The storyline goes nowhere, it wants to and had the possibility to,
but the person writing this story must have fallen asleep while writing because he loses his way.
Believe it or not, the scores in the film were melodramatic and way too loud on accusation. There is no nudity, but there is one sex scene, you can only see the woman's facial expression no body parts shown.
The acting in the film was at a novice level, this film truly was a waste of time.
I could only wonder how the film was financed and made it to prime TV'.
The Strange Ones (2017)
Anticlimactial, and Scanty storyline
Nick (Alex Pettyfer) and Sam (James Freedson-Jackson) are on the road to freedom while enjoying each other companionship.
Both Nick and Sam hold a secret that they want no one to know.
While on the road, they meet people who try and assist them in any way they can, but Sam seems to get jealous, especially when there are women around, he knows how to manipulate people like a pro.
This film has great acting, which isn't the problem, the problem is the storyline.
This film has one dramatic moment, it shouldn't be in the thriller genre either, not quite sure what genre this film would be categorized as.
Overall the film is dissatisfying, Alex Pettyfer was used to sell this film to the fans, which was very deceptive on Christopher Radcliff Lauren Wolkstein part. An anticlimactical film, good directing, scanty storyline.
The Cleaning Lady (2018)
Could have had potential, but fell short by a mile.
This film was doomed from the start, some of the camera angles were off, the storyline was sicking and disturbing, so if you have a problem with pedophile the film might upset you.
There's no nudity, only one make-out scene.
I don't see how this film made it this far, watch this film and be prepared to let down and anger that you wasted your time.
A Killer Uncaged (2020)
Another Documentary that could have been better, This is what a wolf in sheep's clothing looks like.
This is the documentary of the murder, conviction, and release of Dale Wayne Sigler. In 1990 Dale Sigler walked into a Subway Sandwich Shop in Arlington Texas and shot John William Zeltner Jr., killing him instantly for four hundred dollars.
In 1991 Dale Sigler is sentenced to death by the state of Texas, after severing four years, Dale's sentences are then reduced to life in prison because Texas Amended its laws concerning jury selection in 1993.
Convicted killer Dale Sigler is eligible for parole after thirty years. The trailer for this Netflix mini-series is very intriguing, but this documentary is about Dale's penpal (Mama) befriends him and allows him to use her residents for 12 months. Dale is trying to prove that he is rehabilitated after serving thirty years in a Texas State Prison.
It's an ok documentary, but if I had known it's was just about one person, I wouldn't have watched this.
Forget Me Not (2009)
Fell short of the finish line.
Twelve-year-old orphan Anglea lives in a clergy run by nuns. While playing in the cemetery, Anglea meets and befriends twelve-year-old Sandy.
Anglea teaches Sandy a game to play, a ghost/cemetery version of hind and seeks.
Unbeknownst to Anglea, she isn't Sandy's only friend.
One afternoon Anglea came across Sandy and her friends playing the hind and seeks in the cemetery, she taught Sandy that game, it's a game just for the two of them.
Feeling betrayed, Anglea confronts Sandy in front of her friends, who were offended. Sandy's group of friends conjure up an idea, using Angleas own game to scare her, but Sandy needs to participate for it to be successful.
The prank went wrong causing young Anglea to have a seizure and fall into a coma, not realizing the severity of Anglea's condition, the group leaves her on the front porch of the clergy, forgetting about her.
Six years later the group graduated, they decided to take a trip done memory lane and play Forget me not at the cemetery again.
This storyline had the potential to be a good horror film, but fell short due to over-exaggeration of creatures used, and trying to explain the past and the present storyline simultaneously.
Still a Mystery (2018)
Still A Mystery, very informative.
This crime series is about cases involving murder, suicides, missing persons, and kidnapping that are unsolved or have just gone cold.
Still A Mystery series has taken old cases that we've seen in other series along with cases that are new to television. A fairly decent series that deserves to be on the Investigative Discovery channel.
This series helps to keep these cases fresh and in the public eye just in case the viewer comes across a suspect, person of interest, or remembers something that could potentially help with a case.
Good show all around, the narrator has a great voice that fits the show, very interesting and informative. Fair and balanced series, they give everyone involved with the story an opportunity to defend themselves on camera. I recommend that everyone watch this series and spread the word about it.
Bloodline (2018)
Greek Thearter Mask Performance
Seann William Scott stars in this film, Bloodline, as Evan Cole. Evan Cole is a high school counselor and soon to be father, who takes his job, lives of his students very seriously.
As a child, Evan learned from his mother Marie (Dale Dickey) an extraordinary way to deal with; people and the stresses of life.
Laura Cole Evan's wife also had a rough upbringing that made her insecure, clingy almost, she couldn't imagine being without Evan. Laura Cole would do whatever it took to keep her family intact.
The new parent's life starts to take a toll on Evan and Laura, the sleepless nights, baby not eating from Laura, she feels a failure at motherhood. Evan is unable to use his extraordinary way to deal with his stress, his appearance starts to dwindle, and mentally he's on edge until Mother Marie shows up to help Evan and Laura through these trying times. After a few days into her stay, Laura started to notice some unusual touching between Marie and Evan, Evan began to come home late, Laura questions his loyalty.
This film was well written, has a great cast, Sean Willams Scott
is a funny actor, but this role was perfect for him. It allows you to see Sean with his Greek Theater Mask on. Great Thriller.
Pyewacket (2017)
This is a great Gen X slumber party movie.
Leah Ryes (Nichole Munoz) a high school student who's father passed away, with the help of her close friends who also believe in the occult and Blackmagic Leah was able to make it through the hardest part of grieving her father, but not Mrs. Ryes.
Mrs. Ryes, Leah's mother (Laurie Holden), has had a tuff go at it, with the death of her husband and needs change, a fresh start.
Without hardly any notice, Mrs. Ryes uproots her family moves up north. Leah's anger, rage, and frustration get the best of her, so she summons the evil spirit PYEWACKET.
Clean enough for teenage slumber party, I like the storyline , this casting director made great selections.
2:22 (2017)
It's in the STARS
Dylan Branson(Michiel Huisman) air traffic controller, Sarah Braton(Teresa Plamer) former dancer now art Gallery Director, and Jonas Edman(Sam Reid) artist, have a history together, but they can't seem to figure out how or why.
This love triangle has a history together all right, it's written in the stars.
Air traffic controller Dylan Branson sees in patterns, which caused him to stumble onto the recurring events that happen on a daily. Along with the compelling love that both Dylan and Jonas share for Sarah.
Drama, mystery, and sci-fi., That, my viewers, makes for a love triangle.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019)
Great Horror flex
It all began on Halloween in 1968, in the small town of Mill Valley, Pennslivinela. A group of teenagers, Stella (Zoe Margaret Colletti),
Chuck( Austin Zajur), and Auggie(Gabriel Rush) have finally had enough of being bullied by locale jock Tommy Milner(Austin Abrams), every Halloween Milner would drive up beside them and take their Halloween candy.
This year after being surprised with his bag of treats, Milner gave chase to the geek squad who found safety and refuge in a car belonging to Ramon(Michael Garza) who was just passing through. Ramon and Stella develop instant chemistry, triggering a visit to Mill Valley's own haunted house. While in Bellows's house Stella finds a storybook belonging to Sara Bellows, who was said to have been locked away in the basement as a teenager. Stella being that she is the author of some of her own short stories, loved the thought of being able to read some of the stories written by Sara Bellows, but little did Stella know that with taking Sara's book along with it came to her rage.
I love the film, this 60's setting is right up my alley for horror films.
I can't wait for the sequel.
The Monster (2016)
Diamond In The Rough
Dysfunctional alcoholic mother Kathy (Zoe Kazan) and daughter Lizzy ( Ella Ballentine) go on a road trip, one that Kathy feels she'll lose Lizzy to once she reaches her father's house.
This drive allows Kathy time to reflect on missed opportunities to strengthen her and Lizzy's relationship but chose alcohol and freedom over Lizzy.
During this road trip, Kathy and Lizzy run into a bit of car trouble, presenting Kathy the opportunity to prove to Lizzy how much her mother loves you.
I wouldn't ideally watch this film, base on the title and movie cover, but this was a Gem and a Half. The cast was perfect, setting also prefect, storyline unbelievable, the acting was a match made in heaven. The only reason I wouldn't give the film a 10 out of 10 is because of the monster chosen in this film and the title. Other than that this film was perfect.
The Postcard Killings (2020)
Jeffery Dean Morgan at his best!
Veteran New York Detective Jacob Kanon (Jeffery Dean Morgan), had to fly to Europe to identify the bodies of his daughter and son-in-law after they're brutally murdered.
Jacob Kanon being the confident detective that he is, trying hard to lend a hand, which is rejected multiple times due to him being American until he spots a pattern that leads to a lead that helps identify the killer.
Jeffery Dean Morgan was over the top with this performance, a definite must-watch for anyone that has a love for drama, crime, suspense, and thrillers.
Clifton Hill (2019)
Great Thriller, Mystery

Abby didn't share this information while on a summer outing with her family but shared it with her older sister once they returned home, but it just fell onto deft ears.

After researching and finding prove that this was not just some fabrication of her imagination, Abby went to sister then the locale police to help reopen in the investigation of missing Cliffton Hill.
This is a well-written film, wouldn't recommend you trying to solve this mystery yourself, you'll be left wrong and confused.
Project Power (2020)
Great film, don't listen to the Hater Reviews
POWER has hit the streets of New Orleans, a drug capsule full of energy that gives you POWER. All the POWER capsules have a different design or type of power, a specific body type can handle the POWER. If the POWER rejects you, you explode.
This drug is demonstrated and disseminated for free to locale drug dealers, but little did they know POWER has a backstory.
Army Ranger Major veteran Art ( Jamie Foxx)was experimented on by a company name Genesis who is affiliated with the miliatry, making him their first test subject.
Art fathered a beautiful little girl who was born with unique abilities acquired from her father through conception. Now that Genesis's first test subject has had a child, that demonstrates special abilities, and they will stop at nothing until they sink their meat hooks into Tracy, like her father before her.
Art's daughter Tracy was kidnapped by Gardner's men, the creator of POWER, which started a chain of events. Art finds help from two unexpected sources, Robin(Dominique Fishback) 13-year-old POWER pusher, Detective Frank of NOPD(Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a POWER user, to help him track down Biggie, in an attempt to rescue his daughter.
The storyline is well written, well-cast crew, and the perfect length for this film. It was worth the wait, recommend to watch this action pact film.
Luce (2019)
Please read this review so that you can leave your own review and explain to me what this film is about, and what in the world is the point of it.
This film was confusing to me, I couldn't tell if the teacher had feelings for Luce or if Luce had feelings for the teacher. There was too much going on in this film, too many subliminal messages. Luce is not my cup of tea, before I knew who wrote this story, I didn't think they had a clue how Luce could have lived or his situation. Even once I found out who wrote it, to me, he still missed the mark by a mile. Some people may love this film and to each it's own. If you watch this film strickly because of the trailer, then you're going to waste two hours of your life.
You Should Have Left (2020)
WATCH THIS FILM FOR YOURSELF IT'S A GOOD ONE
Former banker Theo Conroy(Kevin Bacon) actress wife Susanna(Amanda Seyfried) and six-year-old daughter Ella(Avery Tiiu Essex) rents a vacation home in the countryside the United Kingdom, (Welsh) where a mysterious entity awaits its next victim. Theo is keeping a secret from his family, but the mysterious vacation rental in Welsh also holds a secret. This film is good, but it's not a horror, more of a crime, thriller, suspense. There are a few jump scares that will keep you guessing and at the edge of your seat. Give this film a chance, produced by Kevin Bacon. Everyone looks for different qualities in films, watch this film yourself and decide if you like it or not.
The Last Narc (2020)
MUST WATCH!!!!!
The Last Narc, an Amazon Original. The untold 1980's story of DEA Agents KiKi Camarena and Hector Berrellez. During this documentary, Retired DEA Agent Hector Berrellez puts his life on the line exposing the truth about the US government's involvement in the torture and murder of DEA Agent KiKi Camerena. Witness in this documentary are as followed, Jorge Godoy, Phil Jordon, Ramon Lira, and other US and Mexican officials. This documentary is clean and uncut. There is no reasonable doubt that this is anything other than 100% facts. I couldn't believe that the US government would openly kill one of there own this way. I would recommend this documentary to anyone that's a conspiracy theorist. I rate this documentary a 15 out of 10.
