It just gets better and better
25 August 2023
Never ever (since Breaking Bad) have I found a series where I can't take my eyes off of the screen. This show goes from 0 to 100 straight away and doesn't let up. As soon as episode 1 is done you think I've got to watch another one and you're always saying wow what an episode that was then the next one finishes and you're saying that was better than the last and it continues. This has everything you could want from a TV series, serious drama, likeable characters, humour, relatable stories, characters you dislike that you grow to love, characters you love that annoy you at times. I can't come up with enough superlatives for this show. It won't go on forever although I wish it would, but enjoy it while it's here as shows like this don't come around very often.

Feel Good at its best
10 March 2023
Comedy, Drama, Heart Warming. This film ticks all the boxes. Has you laughing, has you cheering, has you annoyed and gets you gripped.

Managed to get to an advance screening of this with my 11 year old boy and we were both unsure of what we was about to watch, was it a comedy, was it an underdog story, was it a drama, was it a sports film and we were both amazed at what was a well spent hour and half. It was all of the above. We laughed, we teared up, we were engrossed in it all. The acting is superb the jokes are both laugh out loud and chuckle to yourself. You love the characters at times you hate them at times and you enjoy the ride.

It's not going to win any Oscars and it's not going to get rave reviews but if you want to escape from the troubles of life and have a damn good time you can't go wrong with seeing this.

Oh, and Woody plays the role perfectly.

Great little sports documentary
8 September 2022
Wasn't sure what to expect from this but really glad I gave it a go. Not just about the team but the whole community and how big a part the club plays in some/most peoples lives. Being a massive football fan it's great to see what these little clubs have to go through from player wages to pitches, behind scenes etc. Really eye opening, knew that there was a massive gulf between this level and the premier league but even to the football league it's staggering to see how big a deal it is to get into the main tiers of the football league. Even if you're not a football fan this is enjoyable just for the people. Would've been a 10 out of 10 but the only bad point is the poxy subtitles, they're a proper distraction and totally unnecessary.

Superb. Gripping. Worth It
1 September 2022
What an amazing show. Whilst I agree with all the other reviews stating Andrew Garfield being superb you can't forget the rest of the cast, they are all fantastic and make this show a definite must see. It is infuriating at times that there are actually people out there like this but that makes it even more gripping and keeps you hooked. If you're a fan of crime dramas/thrillers and/or love shows that you can binge in a few days and not worry about if they're going to drag as many seasons as possible out of it then this is for you. Well worth 7 hours of your time. Know some reviews have said it's a slow burner (I disagree)

Why?
2 July 2022
The best series so far spoilt with a Hollywood ending. Loved every second of this series and have even gripped throughout, but why spoil all the drama and cliffhangers with a dreadful last half hour. Bring back what made the first 8 episodes epic.

Pure Class
6 February 2022
Normally I'm wary of the films that attract Oscar nominations or wins as they're normally arty films aimed at Hollywood big wigs who aren't in touch with the real world.

Thank god I decided to go against that and watch this film. It is wonderful, heart warming and gripping. Acted superbly by all especially Hopkins and Colman.

You have to watch this film but make sure you have your tissues ready as you'll be in floods for the last half hour.

Thankfully it's not too long
1 February 2022
Wow, how some of these dross shows get made is beyond me, especially when they attract stars as well.

I stuck it out just because I was intrigued as to what the outcome would be. I'm just glad there was only 8 episodes and they were only 20 minutes long so I didn't waste too much of my time.

Keeps you guessing
5 January 2022
Bingeworthy. The acting isn't great, but the story line is enough to keep you hooked, has you guessing all the way to the final episode. Love all the things I've seen adapted from Harlan Coben novels and this is up there with the better ones. Can be done in a weekend and is definitely worth it.

Whodunit with a hint of comedy
17 November 2021
Stumbled across this as I needed a new comedy to watch. Whilst this is funny in places I wouldn't class it as an all out comedy This is a drama firstly with a few comedic scenes thrown in, but it is definitely worth watching.

Not a king but knows what he wants
8 November 2021
Was lucky enough to get to an advanced screening and wasn't disappointed. Will Smith is superb but the star of this show is Aunjanue Ellis every scene she is in has you glued to the screen. The couple of hours flew by and there isn't one dull moment, there's a lot of comical moments in the film which have you chuckling as well as tense drama, a perfect mix. As with all biopics you aren't sure how much is exaggerated but the fact the Williams sisters had a hand is this film makes you think this could be pretty close to the truth. Definitely worth the couple of hours of your time.

Great film, Superb soundtrack
22 October 2021
Awesome, awesome, awesome. This film is for everyone, kids and adults. Something for everyone. Humour, action, drama. Hooked from start to finish and the soundtrack is up there with one of the best in cinematic history, not a bad song. Go and watch this now, the 2 and a bit hours fly by, set up for a sequel and I cannot wait.

Fantastic for half an hour
22 October 2021
Watch the first 30 minutes and sit opened mouth at how good this is, pure class. But then walk out and don't worry about what you miss as you won't miss anything. Total dross for the next couple of hours, why subject us to all this faff to end up with what we was expecting, Where's the suspense, Where's the drama, give us back our bond. Seriously wide of the mark, thank god this is DCs last outing, let's start anew and hope for better like Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace.

A great blend of Action and Humour
8 October 2021
What a film, loved every second of it. Action throughout and brilliant bits of comedy thrown in. Can't see why there are so many negative reviews as the only bad thing about this film was Ray Winstones Russian accent. Other than that it was almost perfect and up there with one of the best Avenger films.

Netflixs best series of 2021
29 September 2021
What a show. Keeps you gripped all the way through. Brilliant concept, well acted (other than the VIPs) and you never get too connected to one character as they are all horrible so you don't get too upset when one dies like in other shows.

Great show with a silly ending
6 September 2021
Have you ever been eating a fantastic meal and loving every mouthful and then you get to the final bite and find a hair or something which spoils the experience. This is what this show was like. Starts off brilliant, has you hooked within the first 10 minutes and only gets better as the episodes go along making you want to binge episode after episode. Then the final episode happens and you just think why, why would you do this, surely there was a better twist. Give it 7 stars for the first seven episodes could've easily been a 10/10 with a strong finale.

Just sit back and enjoy
3 September 2021
How this show has gone under the radar I'll never know, it should be up there with shows like Modern Family, Arrested Development etc. Its an easy watch and has some proper laugh out loud moments as well as moments of sincerity. It has everything you want from a comedy, know this is a big shout but it is my favourite comedy series since Friends finished. Give it a go and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Lose yourself and enjoy
22 August 2021
Stumbled across this after trying to find a series where the episodes weren't an hour long and glad I found it. Agree with the Tarantino-esque comments as it feels very much like something he would produce. It's a bit over the top which makes it even more enjoyable, you don't get to attached to any characters as most of them are all dislikeable in one way or another. If you're looking for an easy quick series to lose yourself in without having to test the brain matter too much then you can't go wrong with this. It's also great to see strong female leads and the soundtrack is a perfect compliment too.

Shocking, must watch
20 April 2021
Superb documentary. Everyone should watch this and take note. I love seafood and have recently gone pescatarian, so really wished I hadn't watched this as I may have to think about giving up fish as well as meat now. However as with all documentaries this is from one point of view and is clearly biased towards the film makers view point. It really made me sit up and think about where my food is coming from and although I won't be giving up fish I will be cutting down on it as who's to say that in a few months/years time there won't be a documentary about plant based foods being bad for you and the environment.

Colourful Dark Comedy
17 April 2021
What a film. No wonder its up for a lot of Oscars and Baftas. Had me hooked from start to finish. Starts off nice and slow but has you hooked as your intrigue grows with every scene. Then it kicks in for the last third and what a ride. The ending is superb and definitely has the shock factor. Has you laughing at times when you shouldn't as well.

Get passed season 1
23 February 2021
This is one of the best, if not the best, comedy series I have watched. All day it would be 20 out of 10 if it wasn't for the 1st series being a carbon copy of the English version. If I was rating it on that it would be 1 star, due to having already seen the English series. But from series 2 onwards it goes in its own direction and is hilarious, heart warming, emotional and just downright superb. You can't help but love it, just a shame it's taken me this long to get round to watching it

What a series. Loved it from start to finish. Has you in fits of laughter then has you crying the next. Well written and perfectly acted. Have to admit I was sceptical going in, but put aside your prejudices and enjoy a fantastic British drama

More Conspiracy Theory than Crime Documentary
13 February 2021
Enjoyed this, but it wasn't what I was expecting. First episode sets out like any normal crime docuseries, but from episode 2 it goes into all the conspiracy theories from web sleuths and you tubers. I like a good conspiracy theory which is why I stuck with it but if you're bit into strange conspiracy theories then this isn't for you

Watchable
4 February 2021
Very well acted, but this would never happen there are so many flaws. Several unnecessary subplots that don't go anywhere and have no explanation. If you're bored and have a few spare hours then give it a go, it's only four episodes so you can plough through it in one or two evenings, but don't expect to be blown away

Watch again and again
12 December 2020
Watched this back in the 90s when it came out, then again in the 00s when I was older and a bit more understanding of the world, now watched it again on Netflix to see if it still held up and I can tell you it still does, this should easily be in anybody's top 100films. Without a doubt Michael Douglas' best film and should've won awards. You can sympathise with the man but at the same time see what he is doing is wrong, how many times have we as individuals wanted to do some of the things he does but because of society haven't had the guts too, but also because of consciousness know its wrong, please watch this film and enjoy it for what it is, a man at the end of his tether finally flipping out, I'm sure we've all been close before
