Mechamato (2021)
Voiceover letdown/streotyped
Though storyline and animation is decent, the voiceover stereotyping the way malaysian indian and malaysian chinese people speaking is shockingly suprising in this time and age.
No chinese and indians speak this way anymore, and worst off to be voiced-over by a non chinese/indian. In fact, being a malaysian, most of these Chinese and Indian people speak very good malay, dare I say as good as anyone else.
This is the same with other Malaysian animations, Upin&Ipin, Boboboi, Agent Ali and the like.
Even if these mentioned characteres get voiced over by non Indians/Chinese, at least arrange for them to speak normally.
Goliath (2016)
Absolutely love this!!
Aside from the brilliant protrayal of Billy Mc Bride by BBT, not to mention the rest of the cast, everything from the storyline to the casting to the cinematography, was absolutely brilliant. As it was eveident also in season 4, every first few episodes starts with either laid back discourses of Billy's mind madness, lazy countryside, or dimly lit gloomy sleaze town and ends with a twist of the plot and the last hurrah of the prosecuting team.
Beomjoidosi (2017)
Korean action flick at it's best
Excellent police/gangster action thriller. Dong-seok Ma, in the lead role was flawless and delivered the funny dialogues superbly. The fact that this was based on real life events, makes in more intriguing to watch in every sense. Kye-Sang Yoon on the other side of the law manages to "UP" the hate factor for the bad guy with his portrayal of the violent head of the Chinese gangster-invader. All round first class action flick!
One Day at a Time (2017)
Not that funny...
Not sure how this is rated 8/10 here. The characters, all of them tend to over elaborate their acting at times, which tend to come off a bit tedious at times. Jokes are so so, with cliche'ed story line.
