In Winter (2017)
Watch this under the covers
While a "love" story, this isn't a fluffy snowbound weekend meeting In a charming New England village. The back drop is cold winter in Northern Minnesota, the cold that chills to the bone and is symbolic of the frozen souls of the protagonists. Film lovers will see strong influences of Ingmar Bergman in this beautifully shot , superbly acted, haunting story.
Insectula! (2015)
In a world where creepy old men score with beautiful young women...
This movie was better than I thought it would be. Great special effects. A tribute to the old fashioned Saturday SCFY/Horror classics. It's got more cheese than the state of Wisconsin and more blood than Red Cross. At 1hr 44min its' a little long but other wise a great escape from COVID-19 and ironically, tongue in cheek a cautionary tale of nature gone off the rails.
Ahockalypse (2018)
More cheese than all of Wisconsin
Instant classic. The funniest Zomcom since Zombieland, and the mullet himself, Barry Melrose. The world needs more of this kind of utter silliness.
