The Laundromat (2019)
Sad excuse for a movie
I wish I had read more reviews of this movie before going. I was surprised to see so many big name stars for an obvious B movie but I went anyway. It was just ok until the last part where Meryl Streep felt she once again needed to jam her political beliefs down our throats. Why can't Hollywood just make a good movie without politics being interjected from the very rich Hollywood elite who while living in their mansions feel the need to bash capitalism, the very thing that put them in those mansions?
Fin de siglo (2019)
Somewhat weak and confusing
The movie seemed weak and confusing in many places. It bounced back and forth 20 years with no attempt to make the two leads look younger or different. The script was without anything that would grab a person.
Cold Pursuit (2019)
Super movie
Fast moving, great scenery (even though much was computer generated) with a good storyline. I would highly recommend seeing this movie.
The Upside (2017)
Great film, great acting.
It's obvious that for reasons we've all heard about the critics are bashing this film unfairly. I've seen both the original and this one and loved both. Bryan Cranston is marvelous and Nicole Kidman comes off like a bottle of fine aged wine. If you haven't seen this yet GO SEE IT.
Roma (2018)
Where's the beef?
Ok so like so many I've been hearing about this film so I watched it. Actually I had to watch it 3 times because I kept falling asleep. IT'S BORING! I love foreign films but for me this film could put a dead person to sleep.
BlacKkKlansman (2018)
Another Spike Lee BAD political movie
What I thought might be a funny movie ended up being another attempt by Spike Lee to bash President Trump. His subliminal messages throughout the movie and especially at the end where he fully turns up his anti-Trump rhetoric was disgusting. We both got up and left the movie towards the end in protest.
