Reptile (2023)
1/10
Better than ambien
30 September 2023
Reptile epitomizes the mediocrity that plagues many Netflix movies. Its lackluster plot, uninspired characters, and feeble attempts at humor make it a snooze fest. In a sea of uninspiring Netflix releases, "Reptile" stands as a poster child for the term "boring." It's a film so devoid of entertainment value that it makes you wonder if watching paint dry would be a more thrilling option. Netflix should be a platform for engaging and innovative content, not a source of cinematic sedatives. If you're struggling with insomnia, "Reptile" might be a more effective sleep aid than Ambien. Avoid this yawn-inducing disappointment at all costs.

Such a great Holiday movie! And those amazing kids!
29 November 2022
I've been a fan of Lauren Swickard since she was Lorynn York back when she was an actress in lifetime movies and now she's making them! And making them great! Way to go Lauren. Her script is great, and the actors are incredible. Annelise Cepero is an amazing singer and I can't wait till she has more music out. Brooke Sheilds was great as always, love love seeing her. So funny seeing the mega glam icon like Brooke playing country characters hahaha. But she does it with class. And finally those darned kids! Their cuteness is rivaled only by their talent. Whoever cast those kids, nice job. Overall this is a well above average Holiday rom com. Even if you're not into this type of movie, check it out, the music is awesome!

HoliDON'T... just kidding, sort of

Ok holiday movie, but also kind of silly. I wouldn't seek it out but it's not the worst stuff ever made. Once could argue that the problems the characters face are not real world but i know people who have experienced them But...not enough holiday bosom.

So much cute holiday fun
16 December 2021
Loved the first one so when this popped up had to check it out. It's a robust, chesty installment with all the cute fun of the original, but this one takes Callie and Joseph into the city. And deeper into their relationship. The result is a warm-hearted holiday ride. Christmas and the joy of charity and helping others plays a bigger role than in the first one. Can't wait for the next one!

Hysterical!
7 August 2020
I've always loved Don Cheadle, incredibly talented actor, but I had always seen him as a dramatic actor. He's also a comedic genius. Can't say enough about it, every episode has kept me laughing my @$$ off. While the entire cast is amazing, Regina Hall is a phenomenon, love watching her and the chemistry between her and Cheadle is perfect. Can't wait for more!

The Outsider (2020)

Not just for Stephen King fans
7 August 2020
I usually don't like Stephen King stuff, I don't hate it I just don't get into it. The Outsider is an exception. It's amazing. Everything about it is tops, the acting, writing, directing. Kept me hooked from the first few scenes. Normally I like to mention my favorite cast members but they are all so good I can't single any of them out. So trust me, even if you're not a Stephen King fan give this one a shot. It's even worth getting HBO Max for a month just to see it.

Could have been great...
25 June 2020
Instead it's just very entertaining. Great performances, production values etc. The big mistake the show creators made was linking this show to Catherine the Great. This show is basically fiction and bares no resemblance to history. Had they not done that and instead just labeled the show complete fiction it would be a fantastic show and an entertaining, nuanced look at the absurdities of Royal life. It's also hysterically funny at times. Well worth watching but remember it's basically fantasy/fiction.

Twisted Twin (2020)

Pleasantly surprised
24 June 2020
Saw this coming on lifetime and recognized the girl who plays the twins (Lorynn York) from a Netflix movie I saw recently, so decided to check it out even though I wasn't expecting much from a lifetime evil twin movie. But it was actually pretty good and much better than most of the TV movies I watch - I'm really into lifetime/hallmark flicks-Some are good, some are barely watchable. This one is definitely in the really good column and is worth checking out

Fun sweet family flick
6 May 2020
Great family movie that's fun. Main reason I checked it out was because I hadn't seen Casper van Deem in a movie in a long time, and I didn't even recognize him lol. Josh Swickard, Lorynn York and Javicia Leslie were great... fun to watch and great chemistry. Has a fun, "Footloose" for TV feeling to it.

Pleasantly surprised

I only watched this because I had been through all my main choices to watch on streaming during the pandemic, for years I'd see it on nflx and refused to check it out. It's actually really good entertainment wise. Just a little too gory with the torture and violence

Great tv
6 May 2020
I have no idea how accurate any of it is from a historicalism point of view but this is entertaining tv. Just watched it on Netflix and it's got me wondering what else I'm missing over on showtime... this is a little gory and gross at times with violence but it's great binge tv for pandemic lockdown

Excellent creepy flick
6 May 2020
No spoilers here, if you are easily grossed out or creeped out maybe this one isn't for you but otherwise check it out. Very good and keeps you on the edge of your seat and the English dub is pretty good.

Room for Murder (2018 TV Movie)

if you life lifetime movies it's worth seeing
16 July 2018
If you love lifetime movies this won't disappoint, lots of drama and eye candy. it feels a little low budget, sometimes, but James Maslow is awesome as the bad guy, and he's even sexier when he's being evil. The other young people in the movie, the landord daughter and her bf are really good too. Sometimes the movie is actually tense and scary and sometimes it's trying to be and isn't but overall it's what you'd expect and isn't a let down.
