Dead Zone (2022)
Who doesn't like a good zombie movie?
It's available for Free on Tubi right now so I watched it right away when it dropped. The cast was great, each one aptly chosen for their roll. Very well done!
Sniper: Assassin's End (2020)
Great Addition to the Sniper Movies!
I've always loved watching the Sniper movies and when they introed the complex father/son relationship we saw some resentment in the earlier movies so it was good to see them together again. We also get to hear a little bit more of the story. Can't wait to see what is next for Brandon Beckett!
The Christmas Cabin (2019)
Christmas Romance...
I'm not usually the Christmas movie type... in fact, I kinda hate Christmas and everything about it. A friend of mine is annoyingly "all about" it and convinced me to watch a movie on amazon prime.
I have to say that even tho I went in hating the idea, I enjoyed the movie. It actually makes you think love might exist somewhere.
Rock Monster (2008)
Saw it on Syfy on Demand - Loved it!
I didn't think I'd like it because I went in knowing the FX were below standard but the acting was great and I loved the comedy. I laughed out loud many times. If you go in knowing what to expect, its really enjoyable.
Rim of the World (2019)
Worth watching but...
The dialogue was terrible. This could have been a 10 rating if the dialogue wasn't so bad. I think the writers thought it was funny but it was completely annoying. It made me wonder who the target audience was... there were 12 year olds in it so you would think the target was children but some of the annoying dialogue - like the part about Toy Story being about keeping the black man down would go over most children's heads.
Howlers (2019)
HIGH MOON the Movie AKA Howlers is an Awesome Flick!
I've waited a long time to see this movie and I wasn't disappointed. Definitely a retro horror feel with some great acting and fantastic dialogue - funny lines with laugh out loud moments. If you want to see a gunslinger from the old west get some much deserved revenge on biker werewolves... this is your movie!
Sisters in Crime (2018)
Nightmare Best Friend - Accurately titled.
Who needs enemies when you have friends like that? Definitely a tense movie where you're worried about who will die next! The movie was perfectly cast - sometimes with lifetime movies the quality of the acting isn't so great. That isn't the case with this one. Everyone was great! Even the children. Next showing is January 1st on Lifetime! Check your local listings!
Dumplin' (2018)
Dumplin' is all of us.
I very much enjoyed the movie. I found myself identifying with both Dumplin' and her beauty queen of a mom because I've been both. I laughed.. I cried... and cried... and cried. But my life is better for it.
Heels (2016)
Wrestlers With Hearts of Gold
This is a really great movie about a couple of brothers that want to save the family restaurant the only way they know how... through professional wrestling. I really liked this movie. It has a lot of heart. I highly recommend it.
Christmas Cupid's Arrow (2018)
A modern day Cyrano De Bergerac during the holidays!
I usually don't like Christmas movies as a rule but it was on tv while I was working and I didn't change it... the next thing you know I'm glued to the tv. It had its cute/cringe worthy awkward moments that made me laugh which is very hard to do! Definitely worth watching;) Merry Christmas!
RockBarnes: The Emperor in You (2013)
I was giggling like an idiot with tears streaming down my face!
A friend turned me onto this film and I'm glad I watched it. RockBarnes is a hilarious parody about a delusional self-help guru. It's filmed 'documentary' style with a film crew following him around to get behind the scenes footage of RockBarnes... the legend. I don't want to spoil anything... but like dominoes, it all comes tumbling down. If you like comedies and you want a good laugh, I highly recommend it.
