This is supposed to be a feel good story with few fantasy elements thrown in. You don't watch it for the complex narrative or logic. In that regard, this movie was okay. Victoria carries this movie on her shoulders, she is cheerful and hilarious at times. However the narrative is slow paced and you feel like movie should have ended at the half way mark. It feels dragged and you don't care after a certain point of time. You can watch it once after a long day just as a chick flick..!

I didn't expect much from this movie going in, in that sense this movie didn't disappoint at all. If u would like to speak about flaws and weaknesses, I promise you there is a ton of them. But if you are planning to watch this movie after seeing trailer and expecting to be perfect, then you should blame yourself. Having mentioned much about the notions, lets analyse the movie strengths. Sophia lillis as Nancy drew is vibrant and funny. She is very good at keeping the mood light even in the tense scenes. There is an innocence in her acting. Laura wiggins plays the pretty friend as usual. Andrea anders, sam trammel doesn't have much screen space but they have supporting roles to sophia. Even though you pretty much know how its gonna pan out, this movie keeps you invested. Grab a popcorn and drink and if you plan to light hearted teen movie this movie won't make you regret it.

If you have watched the trailer you know how the story would unfold. Sick teens, fights at first, falls in love, does things to comfort each other, one lead saves the other with some tears and a hopeful ending. There would be no over the top moments or mind bending twists. This movie follows a template like I mentioned but its not boring. Haley lu is expressive and you feel for her. She has a complex to be organized and wants to live and expects other to follow the same. Cole sprouse is rigid at first but towards the climax, he has a powerful scene to redeem himself. Climax I feel was a bit stretched , could have been crisp if it was short. A decent directorial debut from justin baldoni. All in all a decent movie. Delivers what it promises.. Nothing more nothing less..!

Brie larson is a talented actress. Period. This movie created much hype because of the talented cast- Jude law, samuel jackson, brie larson, annette benning etc. But its not a ground breaking movie. It was entertaining in bits and pieces, scenes between brie n samuel jackson are interesting, scenes between brie larson and her friend n daughter were cute and heartwarming. Cat is pretty funny. However you don't feel the threat or lead character in vulnerable powerless situation. Although there is an attempt to humanize the character, she hardly struggles in the movie. There is nothing at stake here. Its a decent watch which promises more but under performed

Before going into the review, you should applaud the craft on display. For the pure vision alone this movie deserves a standing ovation. Action scenes are immaculate and the race scene is itself worth the money of ticket. But problems lies with other scenes, especially the love portion which drags the film. We get it , u need love to humanize the character but cliched version doesn't help the movie in any cause. Christopher waltz is decent in his potrayal , however Jennifer connelly and Mahershala ali are wasted here. Film is setup for a sequel but expecting more on the story next time. Its a fun watch for Presidents day weekend..!

Happy death day is a decent movie with a little bit of suspense, thrill, comedy and traces of romance thrown in. The lead jessica rothe is adorable and you genuinely feel for the character. She was the main reason I went to this sequel. Sequel here still works because of the lead actress performance despite it fails in suspense , thrill, comedy and many other aspects. Scifi portion is clumsy and doesn't add much curiosity to the movie. Scenes with her mother are cliched but still heartwarming and works for me. Although I wouldn't be interested in a sequel I still recommend this movie for a fun watch.

First of all I see many hate in the reviews mentioning its a scene by scene copy of the original german movie. Honestly I don't care. This movie isn't the one you remember for a long time but it's not a movie which is bad. Even for a serious movie, this movie had sprinkles of humor thrown without disrupting the flow. Liam neeson had to let go of this genre , revenge drama is becoming predictable of him. But he does a decent job, however you don't see the nuances of dad- son relationship which provokes for this revenge saga. Laura dern is wasted here. Emmy rossum is just filling up the scenes with no scope for her. It is a decent movie but you don't find the emotional connect and the urge to root for the good guy to take revenge.

I wouldn't classify it as full on horror movie.. It will fall into the category of thriller, mystery genre. Creepy is the word you will associate for some scenes. I went into the movie with low xpectations since my last horror movie "The Nun" was a disaster. I don't think movie disappointed me. Sure the story is very old and you will see some usual shenanigans and cliches for this type of stories. Taylor schilling is decent and the kid acted really well. There are 2-3 jump scares but overall this is a decent one time watch . I liked climax and was a worthy ending to story. 7/10 for me.

This is a movie where no one commits to anything. Lead actor doesn't propose, actress doesn't commit to a relationship, they don't even commit to the jobs they love and atlast the movie doesn't commit to an ending.. There is a lot of potential but it doesn't get any closure. Lot of unexplained things in movie. What lead to breakup, why they never got in touch even if they are creepy enough to stalk in Facebook and why they are afraid to end up together. That being said, I didn't hate the movie. I liked the leads performances especially the female lead.. She is beautiful, funny and emotes well. I sincerely hoped to find closure at the end of the movie even if its a bitter one.

Well let me be frank. I like weird movies. I like movies where audience go absolutely nuts without knowing anything. This movie is not in the level of mind bending / shattering kind however its a fun watch.. Diane lane is wasted here and has an insignificant role.. Anne hathaway is good in parts , but less convincing.. Mathew mcconaughey carries the film on his shoulders, who gives a winning performance here. It is because of him you are interested in this script. I wonder why a young boy would imagine his father having sex with many women, not that I am complaining..! It isn't a perfect film but an interesting take on young minds to deal with depression

There isn't many action sequences or wrath of evil here, however emotions are beautifully captured in this film. Incidents are conveyed through dialogues and it seemed believable and portrayed convincingly by the actors in it. I haven't read the book but this movie is worth the time you spend on it.

I didn't want to see trailer for this movie, so went in black. There's a back n forth narrative with little bit of suspense, creativity, stunning visuals and subtle acting. I had a feeling that It would bring back memories of Amy adams starrer "The Arrival" but it stopped with unknown backdrop and concepts of aliens. The film is much more. This movie makes you question, listen, cringe, feel and for the most part keeps you entertained in its own way. Except for the sub plot which had affair which I dont buy this movie keeps you invested. You genuinely feel creepy for some scenes and open ending is what this movie deserved.

What would you do if you get a second chance? This movie is basically about that. Not in the way you expect to compensate, but in a way that will make you feel good. Its a simple story of a disabled kid and a caregiver and expeditions along the way. Selena gomez was little predictable and pregnant woman was just there to extend the narrative. Movie is powered by very good performances but underplayed by two main leads, Paul rudd and the kid. There are no over the top melodramatic moments which is a savior. All in all a decent entertainer.

This movie is one of old classy types where tension is built around dialogues and the predicament characters find themselves in. Christopher plummer is riveting as a greedy billionaire who thinks about evading tax in every walk of his life and want to be in control of everything he sees. Michelle williams is terrific as a caring mother and not the usual dumb potrayals you normally find in these kind of movies. She is smart, witty and sees hope even in darker moments . The scene where she asks "Do they want me to cry?" potrays the real emotion people go through in situations like these. Mark wahlberg is more of a cliched character where you can predict pretty much what he will do. There are intense scenes in second half where the kid acted really well and you felt the pain character went through. Even though its a serious film, you might find humor in traces which made sure its an enjoyable watch.

Well I went with very low expectations after hearing all reviews. I would say the movie was good in general. May be The low expectations helped but with the story they picked I don't think they could have done more. Chris pratt was half fun but mostly serious in this movie which was not his usual self. Bryce Dallas Howard was the catalyst or the bridge you would say to bring chris pratt to the forefront. Little girl mystery I hope would have some say in the next part or I would say its not required.But in general People go to these kind of movies to watch dinosaurs break, burn,tear every thing. In that aspect this movie satisfies you alright. Dinosaurs were the major savior in the movie which lights up the screen and makes you cheer for them. But The weak story and predictable plotpoints doesn't bode well for the overall experience.

Well this movie just had its moments here and there. Jennifer Connelly is pretty good in the movie.There are various sacrifices she makes for her boyfriend, which gets conveyed mostly through her facial expressions and still makes you feel the pain. Anthony mackie is equally good too, but I felt his character was a little under developed and makes you question why Jennifer Connelly would go to that extent to protect him. Paul bettany has a good debut in my opinion and I am interested to see his directorial venture. Movie hits you with reality of life and how we don't appreciate the things we have.
