A Rainy Day in New York (2019)
I don't like what he did.
I've seen many of Woody Allen's movies before this one. I've loved most of his work even when it was bad. The bad in Allen is the good in the other lesser more common films.
I don't like what he did. I actually condemn macho behavior and hope for a future where women are respected and elected to their highest status. I know this is possible and it is coming.
That being said, this was a fantastic movie. Sad and happy, small and big, subtle and complex. Also as while watching it I was thinking about the whole real life drama, that help to reach new levels of sensibility.
The performers where fantastic, the script perfection, the cinematography beautiful the photography easy, all pitch perfect.
It's a pity that beautiful things are created by monsters. But even monsters deserve pity.
Messiah (2020)
Too good for this world
The first Christ was good. The Second shall be bad. The first forgiving. The Second unforgiving. Piety the sign of the first. The Second comes for vengeance.
They are not two, but One and the same. The first a warning. The Second a realization. The first was innocent. The Second executioner. The first chance was lost and the Son comes again to reap what we didn't sow.
Two millenialls were given to us. And we have spoiled it paradise.
And they are not only two. They are more. They are Legion.
The Christ is not unique. The Christ is Legion.
The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones: Winds of Change (2000)
It's crazy to do this with the Indiana Jones property.
What is this nightmare? George Lucas did this? I understand some things now.
Star Trek: Discovery: Project Daedalus (2019)
It was Fraking good
Hi, short review here. Love Star Trek (Star Wars too, not the new ones)
THE QUESTION IS: Why is Jonathan Frakes directing this whole series?
This show... Thank you TV for this show.
Lost in Space: Impact (2018)
The most amazing show I've seen in our time.
I love science fiction. I've never seen nothing in TV like the first episode of this show. I was crying at the end when it saving one of the girls. I've like very much the old movie, I was 10 when I saw that one. But I am thankful to Netflix for doing this amazing creations.
Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond - Featuring a Very Special, Contractually Obligated Mention of Tony Clifton (2017)
Amazing journey into a performer's mind.
This movie is an unique look at the crafting arts of an actor. The details about the transformation of Jim Carrey are something to behold. Of courser, people in the business will enjoy it a lot and in more subtle ways. But everybody can enjoy the expression of humanity here. The camera work is really amazing and it disappears between a very good direction. It really gives a deeper understanding at the fantastic original movie its based on. I think we can agree that it was that movie, and after it many more, that showed us the great actor Jim Carrey is. Of course many of us already knew that when we saw him in The Mask, Dumb and dumber, and Pet Detective.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Amazing and beautiful.
A Star Trek for the next generation. A cast composed by trained Actors, with really beautiful imaginery (that Binary Star) The production value is immense, showing the craftmaship in makeup and prosthetics. The Klingons have a menacing aspect like never before; also the quality of materials, the suit of the first episode is perfectly done, amazing to see while flying through the asteroid field, dodging giant rocks. And that Klingon structure... We also see scenes like the Klingon funeral, never before uncovered. I feel there is so much to Discover in this series. Please, more of this.
P.d.: It's good it is different from the old series (that casting... also very dated visuals and science)
