Mortal Kombat (2021)

Solid Movie!

Definitely worth signing up for HBO Max!

Not playing the video games and just being an average person seeing the movie, it was a good movie overall. Some moments were a little cheesy, but really liked how the movie played out. Recommend watching.

The Bachelor (2002– )

Lack of Character

The new contestants each year get more shallow as the time goes on. Back in early 2000, a lot of these folks were in it for love. Now people are just doing this show for fame.

I don't know if it is just the generation of people coming through or the fact this TV show is now more scripted than ever and becoming, "woke." Please leave politics aside and keep it to yourself as this is a typical Hollywood TV show.

Where the Heart Is (2000)

Wow! Just Wow!

This is the 1st time I am giving, "10 Stars," for a movie! I had this movie in the closet for some time thinking it was a bust of a, "want to be," Hallmark movie. It wasn't! Watching this movie today in this generation is truly remarkable to find a great movie with a wonderful storyline. Considering it was made in (2000), this movie has to be considered phenomenal now and days. This is a must watch for movie goers!

Mulan (2020)

No Mushu! No Fun!

This movie barely gets a, "7," and that is being very generous! The movie is visually stunning along with the beautifully designed production representing the Chinese culture. It has an All-Star cast of Asian/Asian-American actors and actresses. However, much of this movie could have been figured out by watching this trailer. This movie is missing one of its biggest characters that made the original movie, Mushu! The fact Eddie Murphy is still alive and could have played this role makes it even more upsetting, yet they are able to add a witch to the movie. Really upsetting the movie it missing some of its pivotal characters from the original back in (1988).

Love, Guaranteed (2020)

Solid Rom Com

Netflix keeps getting better and better with its movies! The previous Rom Com movie on Netflix, "Desperados," was good but not great with co-stars from, "New Girl," - Nasmin Pedrad and Lamorne Morris (as much as I love them). This Rom Com movie, "Love Guranteed," featuring Damon Wayans Jr. blows past it with flying colors. Very surprised the ratings on this movie doesn't keep it a solid, "7." This movie definitely has a predictable outcome but it is a must watch movie with character and authenticity (compared to other movies now and days).

Absurd Show!

If I could give this TV show a, "0," I would. Having open discussions on a talk show is about hearing a different point of view, and not getting out of control as I have seen too many times on this show. As much as I want to give these talk show hosts the benefit of the doubt, they repeatedly reject differing opinions with authority. Very unhealthy to watch, and very surprised this show has lasted so long.

Hidalgo (2004)

Highly Underrated Film

Saw this movie when it was on a VHS tape. Back then, I thought this movie was a, "big hit!" I still personally believe this is a a great movie because in today's world, they do not make movies like this anymore. A movie with character and design. If there is a late night, definitely recommend watching this movie.

Toy Story 4 (2019)

Gets Better!

Every time I think a new Toy Story movie can't get any better than the last, it does! Once again the movie takes a different aspect of Toy's life and meaning to a child. Since the 1st movie released in the 90s, it continues to get better. Wonder what the franchise has next up its sleeve? Great movie and a must watch for adults who grew up with this movie line; adults will understand the meaning behind it.

The Last Stand (2013)

Highly underrated film!

Watched this movie back when it came out, but could not remember the plot. Thought it was a great movie with a good acting cast. Watching it now reminds of how good it was compared to movie made now and days! Recommend watching it for late night movie

6 Underground (2019)

Great movie!

Keep in mind this a Netflix movie! It was pretty great watching it. Similar in the production with, "Triple Frontier," on the budget but it is pretty awesome watching Netflix evolve in movies. Give and take, Ryan Reynolds plays the same character with his personality but it was cool to see him take off the Deadpool mask to play another character. Overall good storyline to the movie!

The Masked Singer (2019–2024)

No good!

No offense to the people hosting this show, but this is no good! Watching the performances is a great entertainment show with beautifully designed costumes and stage designing/lighting. However, the appeal of singing with a mask on is cynical. I know it's entertainment, but these individuals, "could not be singing," but instead just holding the mic.

Tomb Raider (2018)

Great movie; similar to video game!

Comparing previous Tomb Raider movies to this one featuring Alicia Vikander definitely stood out! Personally I have never been able to play the video games because I can not afford to keep up with them. However, seeing the comparison to short clips on YouTube, this movie definitely tried to shape it around the video game I could tell. Was not too bad in this effort, but it still was a great movie to watch!

Aladdin (2019)

Visually fantastic!

A lot of Disney movies are being brought to life with some of them being disappointing. However, this movie was fantastic to watch with the detailed costumes, music, dancing/choreography, and visual effects!

Naomi Scott plays a wonderful and beautiful Jasmine with Will Smith being the perfect replacement for Robin Williams', "Genie." I know a lot of people were questioning Will Smith being a replacement, but if anything he has exceeded expectations. This is a must watch for Disney lovers and family/friends in general.

Angel Has Fallen (2019)

Fantastic movie!

This movie was fantastic! It was the cherry on top of the, "Fallen," series featuring Gerald Butler. These movies tend to be released during times of actual events going on in society (e.g. Olympus released when Koreans are testing missiles and Angel when there is corruption of power at Capitol Hill). Maybe that's why it is so intriguing to watch! Visual effects were good but the changing dynamic or setting is what really gives the movie a standout above all the others! Recommend to watch

Charlie's Angels (2019)

Good movie!

Overall, good movie! It was not the greatest, but definitely not the worst Charlie's Angels movie. I don't know what people were expecting from this movie but considering this was a mix of British and American actors, I can understand the dislike for the movie. However, the cast was phenomenal! Loved Kristen Stewart playing a different role and seeing Johnathan Tucker as the bad guy within the movie. Overall, good!

Supernatural (2005–2020)

Solid TV show still running

Looking back at when this TV show debuted in 2005, it is hard to believe a show in general can be running this long. Not even Big Bang Theory had that many seasons for how good it was. Watching it now, compared to years ago, I can now see the appeal Supernatural has to viewers. Bumpy start in Season 1, but it set itself up for future seasons I still yet have to watch (will update this review as time goes)

X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)

Hard 7!

Felt like this movie was rushed in many ways, and felt like more depth was needed for the characters development; considering the amount of time leading up to this final X-Men movie with All-Star cast members. For that reason, this was a solid 7! I would have given it a 6; however, considering this movies' development from three previous X-Men films, this was not horrible but it wasn't good either. Suggest renting it 1st before buying the movie!

The 100 (2014–2020)

One of a kind TV show!

Hands down, there is no show comparable to this on the CW! It is a one of a kind TV show that is always evolving to its viewers making it interesting to watch. The only reason why it is being given a 9/10 is because of the cheesy acting on occasions. Again this is a show for teenagers (hence when I 1st started watching it) but I am a young adult still watching it! Pretty awesome to see the character development over the course of time! Recommend to watch at least 2-3 seasons before judging this show, you won't want to miss out!

Solid Sitcom

This has got to be one of the best sitcoms still running. Despite the politics involved moving from ABC to Fox and despite the multiple actor/actresses changes, this series has managed to still run a successful TV show

Edge of Tomorrow (2014)

Putting aside the fact people do not like Tom Cruise as an actor, this was a really good movie to watch. It is a Sci-Fi film about fighting extraterrestrial beings, but it deals with war on a deeper scale with Tom Cruise's character reliving the day over-and-over again! Emily Blunt adds tremendous depth as a female co-lead to the movie taking on a different approach of being a solider. Tom Cruise gets closer to her reliving the day with her. However, seeing her KIA on the battle field takes a tremendous toll on him as a character. What happens in the end? Recommend watching the movie to find out as this movie keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next.

The Boys (2019– )

Superhero TV Drama!

Very different atmosphere compared to the ideal superhero persona in movies and TV. Interesting storyline as characters are evolving throughout the show. The reason I am giving it a 9 out of 10 is because of the expectation for a little bit more action and the storyline is kind of ideal for drama series. Need something out of the blue and not so much expected.

However, this TV show is something not seen before on television. Amazon Prime's masterpiece comparable to Bosch and Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. Would recommend watching it.

The Promise (II) (2016)

One of a kind masterpiece!

Have never seen such a deeper movie than this; a movie about family, love, and hope. Although this is a fictional storyline, the backing history behind the movie is true. Truly remarkable to bring something to light that is overshadowed by other tragedies that occurred throughout history. Must see, and will make you cry!

Overall, the movie is great and Oscar Issac's masterpiece for acting. Hope he wins awards in the near future for playing so many different roles in various movies. Christian Bale could have done better, kind of hard to picture him not as Batman after being identified with it for so many years as an iconic superhero.

You have to see it at least once!

Murder Mystery (2019)

Ehh!

The movie was , "ehh!" Not the best Adam Sandler movie; especially with Jennifer Aniston. Was definitely expecting more after, "Just Go With It," featuring them both! So the movie was ok!

Men in Black: International (2019)

Definitely not bad but wasn't greatest!

The movie was not a bad MIB movie but it wasn't the greatest either. After K (Will Smith) concluding his storyline, it was hard to make another movie outside of this. Can definitely see how the directors and producers tried to take a different angle with it being, "International," actors/actresses. Good movie to see with family and friends!

Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)

Solid Movie; must see!

After Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield set the stage for Spider-Man movies it was kind of hard to believe Tom Holland to exceed expectations. Tom Holland has set the bar for Spider-Man! The diverse group of actors and actresses made this movie great to see for all audiences. After Endgame, it was hard to believe another Marvel movie would be good, this was a great one to cap off Phase 3!
