Pinocchio (2022)
A Fun Remake
It is always hard to make a movie based off a classic, especially one of the first original Disney movies. I think this movie did a good job sticking to the original plot and feel. I thought the clocks were funny because they were all based on Disney movies.
I love the cast and how everything was colorful and fun. It will definitely engage and bring the story we all love in a way that kids growing up now can appreciate. The movie is wholesome and done with families of all types in mind, which seems to be a concern many people have regarding the new content Disney is putting out. I do wish Disney promoted this movie more because I feel like it came out of nowhere.
If you love Pinocchio I think you will like this movie but remember that it is it's own movie. If you sit there comparing it constantly to the original, you won't be able to appreciate the uniqueness this movie brings to the table. Enjoy it! That's why it was made!
I Am Groot (2022)
I am Obsessed
Greatest series ever. I love how random everything is and yet it just makes sense. Sometimes, I feel like the MCU becomes so serious and intricate, and this show is a breath of fresh air. This show is in perfect for kids and adults alike. Obviously Disney did not intend for this show to play an important part in the timeline but I love that anyone can watch it and not have to worry about knowing a lot about the MCU.
I think the world has been waiting for more baby Groot since phase two. Groot is so cute and relatable. And, as you learn in the first episode, he is 100% Groot.
Also, it won't let me post until I hit 600 characters and I feel like what I said above is the best review one could give soooooooo. Whoever reviews this please know that we do not need ridiculously long reviews.
Offline (2012)
Missing A Lot of the Backstory
This movie was alright. I wish they gave us more of a backstory or had flashbacks of when the cyberstalking began or even how he found her. I feel like that would've given the characters the opportunity to grow more than they did.
Sugar Babies (2015)
It was interesting..
I thought this movie was good. The background music made it sound like a hallmark movie so that made me laugh. And there was a plot twist that came out of nowhere when one of the sugar daddies just dies. But I enjoyed it.
Dead in the Water: A Fear the Walking Dead Story: Something Bad (2022)
Too Short
I know this is a mini series but every time I I think the show was about to explain what was going on the episode would end. I felt like the episodes were a little too short. I don't think you would be missing much if you don't watch this show.
Fresh (2022)
Shook
Absolutely not where I thought this was going. Literally one of the most original movies I have ever witnessed. Sebastian Stan has officially played them all!
A Rainy Day in New York (2019)
Weird..
I didn't like this movie. I couldn't get into it and was very confused. I am sure movie experts and people who like unique movies will love this film. I only liked the scenes with Selena Gomez.
Rainbow High (2020)
10/10 Recommend
I absolutely love Rainbow High. It reminds me of Bratz which I grew up watching. While many didn't like bratz the lessons and morals of the shows and movies were wholesome. Rainbow High is a break and refreshing from the weird modern shows trying to take on too many things. I highly recommend this show and YouTube channel to their children.
Diary of a Future President (2020)
Disney Degrassi
I don't think this show is rated correctly but I do love the characters and I love how it's based on a diary of a middle school girl who will become President. It feels like degrassi but on Disney channel. They only thing I'm a little annoyed by is how many storylines are happening. I can't keep up and it is sometimes exhausting. But overall it's good.
Flatliners (2017)
Interesting Concept
This movie has an interesting concept but I wasn't engulfed in it. I actually got pretty bored and kept pausing it to do other things. Not my favorite.
Cinderella (2021)
Very... Modern
I thought this movie was pretty good. It was a very modern twist to the story. I liked that they change things up and gave Cinderella a more feminist role. The one thing that I did not like was they made marriage the bad guy. I think in the end when she didn't marry the prince and they decided to just date was a little too awkward for me because they made it seem like marriage is a bad thing. That was the only thing I thought was wrong with this whole movie. Marriage shouldn't be the bad guy because it can be done while you pursue your dreams. I mean even the king and queen ended in a great marriage. But with that I thought the comedy bits were amazing and they chose perfect actors and actresses. The music was sometimes weird and didn't work but what can you do.
The Invisible Man (2020)
Original and Unique
This movie was incredible! The amount of detail and thought that went into the storyline and filming made this movie successful. The acting was impeccable and there were times where I felt like I was going crazy along with the main character! I highly recommend watching!
Escape Room: Tournament of Champions (2021)
Not What I Expected
This movie was okay. However, the new characters were not developed well and the rooms were not tailored to them at all. The ending was weird and did not go alone with the movie. They didn't develop the original characters and they didn't explain anything. If you didn't watch it you wouldn't miss much.
F9 (2021)
I Don't Know
This was a pretty good movie I'm not going to lie. When Cardi B made a cameo I just knew that they didn't know what they were doing. However, I did find it quite hilarious and fun. The one guy named Roman cracks me up! I can honestly say just seeing this one and none of the previous ones made me super confused. So if you're going to watch this, I suggest either watching the ones before or watching a summary/recap on YouTube. It just didn't make sense how they survived so much. Spoiler alert question: how did they get to space in a car? No one knows.
What to Expect When You're Expecting (2012)
Creative and funny
This is a really good movie. It hits every cliche you can think of. There are a lot of crude jokes probably more than necessary but overall a great movie!
Charmed (1998)
Forever Charmed
I absolutely love this show! I have seen it four times so far and I never tire of it. The show has it all. The feminism and storylines are incredible. And the best part is that it gets better every episode! There are tears and laughter and you can't help but feel charmed!
This Is Paris (2020)
A New Start
This documentary was amazing when you read between the lines. For a woman who acted her whole life and pretended to be perfect, Paris is beginning to show who she is.
There are people who say she is fake and is using this to promote a "new brand" but that isn't the case. She has never showed her faults and it's extremely difficult to do that after being the architect for a form of fame and a new type of celebrity. I loved this documentary because it shows that everyone has trauma and demons and it is extremely difficult to let them out after decades of hiding them.
Cheers to Paris and I hope she is able to find true joy and sleep without the fear of nightmares.
Psych 2: Lassie Come Home (2020)
Classics Should Never Die
Regardless of how many years have passed between the show and the movies, it's like Psych never went off air. This movie just seemed like season 10 of Psych and I loved EVERY minute. 100% worth watching and I can't wait until the third one comes out!
Young Sheldon (2017)
Hilarious
This show is so good! The characters all bring their own personality and none of them are overbearing or boring. I guarantee you will like at least one of the episodes!
American Murder: The Family Next Door (2020)
Phenomenal
This documentary was amazing and heartbreaking. The amount of video and evidence that was left behind and collected was incredible. The film did a great job showing the good and ugly of both sides. While I found myself seeing how a perfect family was molded on social media, behind the scenes showed otherwise. I highly recommend this movie.
Community (2009)
A quality Show that Takes Place in a Rundown College
This show is hilarious! I love the characters and their development throughout the series. The end scenes are always unique and there are inside jokes that last until the last episode. Seasons 4,5, and 6 are a little rough because there are huge changes that leave you in tears, but the final episode felt sudden and did not wrap up the series nicely. But overall, this show is amazing.
Santa Girl (2019)
Felt unfinished
This movie is a cute idea, but the plot felt choppy and unfinished. One minute Cassie Clause is in the North Pole and then she goes to one semester of college and ends up marrying an underdeveloped character. JR should have had more time to develop for the audience to understand his feelings before he shows his worries at the wedding.
Morning Glory (2010)
Daytime hero
This movie was hilarious! It showed the excruciating work that went into being a daytime news producer with little experience and a mediocre resume who ends up becoming the most hardworking and talented person. She never changed who she was yet she inspired the entire crew of the show that was on the verge of failure. Incredible! And there was a little romance which wasn't a bad spice to add to the mix.
Betting on the Bride (2017)
is fourth time a charm?
I adored this movie! It reminds us how love should be and why finding the person to spend the rest of our lives with is done with the heart, not the head! And it all starts with a bet!
When We First Met (2018)
Amazing
If Hallmark and Groundhog had a baby, it would be this movie. Phenomenal. A great story and I found myself rooting for Noah the entire time! I highly recommend it!!
