The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart (2020)
That was true love
Absolutely beautiful documentary, made me cry a couple of times. You would never imagine what's behind the lyrics of each song and how did they got to write so many lovely ones, like in the "how deep is your love?" scene, I was totally touched as they were remembering writing the song.
Hang in there Barry! You'll meet your beloved brothers again. Thank you Bee Gees!
1917 (2019)
100% worth seeing
I love drama movies and particularly dramas taking place in history or war, so this movie was number one in my to do list. The fact that is was filmed in just "one shot" is emotionally engaging from the very beginning. You feel you can't turn your head or even blink 'cause you'll be missing a precious moment of the movie. I cried trying to imagine how many stories like this have got lost in time, how many people have suffered the injustice of war.
Best scene: Schofield getting out of the trench, bombs reaching ground and exploding, soldiers dying and still, he doesn't lose focus to deliver his message 😢
Dances with Wolves (1990)
Best three hours invested.
The kind of movie I love, drama and history together, makes you rethink about the whole "real American" definition. I couldn't contain my tears at the end of the movie. I don't know how I lived 29 years without seeing this beautiful movie.
The Doors (1991)
20 out of 10 in resemblance
I hardly believe there is anyone that looks exactly like Jim Morrison but Val Kilmer. No actor looks exactly like the real person he's playing, such resemblance certainly left me speechless while watching the movie. It would have been great to see more details regarding the band, the movie is called The Doors but it is mainly about Jim Morrison.
Upgrade (2018)
It's a kind of a expected ending but still surprising
I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi, so when my husband suggested this movie I was a little skeptical but I ended up saying yes, let's give it a try. The moment Grey Trace and his wife are brutally shot after the car accident, you immediately know it's a raw and without feelings story. The argument takes you where you think you're supposed to be taken and barely before the end you realize the bad guy is not even a person... which was shocking to me.
The Nun (2018)
Lack of Wan's touch
They're still trying to find a way to keep the Warren's around, in hope the sequels have the same succes than The Conjuring two first. I didn't get what was the reason for the good nun and the priest were brought to the story, they never made it clear why they were the chosen ones to go on that mission. The whole story with the blood of Christ was simply to much for me. I actually expected a lot more from a movie which saga had such a great reputation in the horror movies world, in my opinion, the fact tha Wan was not the director of the movie this time has a lot to do with the final perception the people get from the movie, somehow I was used to the smooth sequences with the grand finale Wan creates. Still, you need to go and watch it to build your own criteria.
Room (2015)
Unforgettable
One of those movies that you only need to see it once and will stay in your head forever, I cried like a baby when Jack finally got to release his ma (my eyes are watering right now)
