Convicting a Murderer (2023)
Avoid this trash
7.4 rating? Are you kidding me?
You cannot take an Emmy winner and attack it with inadmissible rumours and gossip. Is is awkward, embarrasing and pathetic.
This show does not seek for the truth. Whatever is the agenda behind all this, it looks like they are just trying to ride on a someone else's horse, Wrong.
Every case has its holes. Prosecutor misses something, defence does the same. Nothing new to see here. Do not be naive. However, nobody is saying as well that Steven Avery is a fallen angel. No. He may have done it, he may not, but he did not get a fair trial. He should get a new one at least.
Il triangolo della morte: I mostri di Firenze (2020)
You know that the book almost always beats the movie?
Hi.
First of all - let me tell you. I love Italy, food, culture, people, nature - everything is fine. Sadly, I cannot say the same thing about justice in this country. There are problems everywhere but you would not want to be accused in Italy, trust me on this.
The first problem with this documentary is: prosecutor Giuliano Mignini. Anyone familiar with the Amanda Knox case knows: he is not to be trusted. As with Know case he was obsessed with the saving face and some cult theories, all baseless and clearly far-fetched and invented. He does almost exactly the same and here: speculating without facts about free masonry, occults and other nonsense. It is just a bunch of assumptions and tales.
If you really want to know more about this fascinating story, read the book about it written by Spezi and Preston. You will not regret this. This documentary sadly portraits jus the chaos surrounding the famous case.
Litvinenko (2022)
A MUST watch
Very good casting, nice plot and accordingly accurate account of events, not too long.
First of all, let me say - this is long overdue. It's 2006. So even in the beginning of his dictatorship Putin was not afraid of killing his ex-spies or other enemies in the center of London/Sallisbury/Moscow/you name it. Meanwhile, the presidents of Western countries were shaking Putin's hand and making various trades with him. You cannot make trades with criminal and mass murderer. You simply cannot. And the war in Ukraine shows you exactly that.
Second, it shows that either FSB (russian special service, ex-KGB) agents are extremely audacious or extremely stupid (possibly both though). Because they were traced and everything and still adamantly denied everything making absurd versions of actual events.
Into the Dark (2018)
A weak attempt at Comedy/Horror
When you are trying to catch two genres at once and fail miserably.
