Falling for Christmas (2022)
Watch the Fun blooper reel during end credits
The movie itself is exactly as expected. Cheesy winter holiday romcom with predictable script. Typical tropes such as Christmas market, tree lighting ceremony, young child who just wants their single parent to find love again, a snow globe...there's even a toy drive! Favorite character was Ralph. Great performance by Sean Dillingham. I also thought that Alejandra Flores provided a warmth and realness in her role. For me, the most entertaining part of the whole movie was the blooper reel during the end credits. It looked like they all had fun filming the movie. Lots of joy and laughter and good chemistry. I just wish that all translated on the screen.
Brazen (2022)
My partner fell asleep
We thought we'd watch this together, but my partner kept falling asleep. The actor's performances would be so much better if they had something to work with. Nonsensical story, bad dialogue, blah blah. I'm embarrassed for the people who made this.
Family Law: Three's Company (2021)
Come and knock on our door
Every week I think I have a new favorite episode. This one was so enjoyable and entertaining. Getting to know Daniel more is great. His character really has depth. Love seeing more of Frank too. And Jerri is always a delight.
A Million Little Things: Trust Me (2021)
Sophie's story
This was expertly handled. A tough subject, but it was told it such a gentle and real way. Bravo to the writers and performers.
Soul (2020)
Just what we needed
Original. Lovely animation. Fantastic voice performances. Thank you for making this Pixar. I think we all needed it.
In & of Itself (2020)
I've recommended this to so many people
The most unique storytelling I have seen in a very long time. This is such an original piece, and I'm so glad I found it.
Corporate Animals (2019)
uncomfortable to watch
The actors are good performers in this. I just didn't like the storyline. Pace was slow, and situation was uncomfortable, but I get that is what the filmmakers were going for. They succeeded. I just felt uncomfortable watching all these adults behave like spoiled brats among each other. Just not my cup of tea. Didn't find it entertaining.
Dix pour cent (2015)
Totally enjoyable guilty pleasure
Wish I knew more about the famous French actors who make guest appearances on the show. I love the characters, even when they are flawed, or especially when they are flawed. So fun to laugh these days. If only working at a talent agency was actually that interesting.
Seaspiracy (2021)
I feel like I've seen this before
I've seen a few feature length docs about our oceans and shark finning, and the plastic gyre, and dolphins in the cove, etc. I actually didn't learn anything new. Be careful when watching documentaries these days, as the filmmaker will conveniently leave counter information out.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (2021)
DO Bother
This series is worth watching, and worth anticipating for every Friday. I'm a hockey Mom, and yes, some of the hockey storylines are unrealistic, but remember, this is a fictional TV show, and target audience is young kids. The production value is high, and the cast is talented which makes it enjoyable for us parents to watch with our kids. So glad Emilio is back. You don't have to see the movie trilogy to enjoy this, but it's fun for the throwbacks if you do. I hope we'll get to know all the players on the Don't Bothers as the season rolls out. Definitely recommend.
