I Am the Night (2019)
A real heroine
When i first watched the first two episodes, I was mindblown by the fact that this was the best 60s series in modern days. But after finishing the 3rd and 4th, I couldnt take it. The girl was such a pain to herself and she only walked around looking for the "truth" and didn't seem doing anything besides introducing her name and running away from Jay Singletary. She should have been the real Fiona who "survived" and discovered everything rather than walking here and there. She was scared and weak. Fragile as it was. Chris Pine has done his job but him being not sober, even though he had nothing to do with drugs, sometimes killed the vibe. This girl should have been stronger and smarter. She was searching for the answers to her grandfather's case, not searching for people while being helpless. We need a role. She was the main witness. She was the main spotlight. She was the only one who survived.
APB (2017)
A little over-bland
When I first watched APB, i told my mom about it and she also found it interesting. We love tv series so much and we watched the first three episodes, it somehow changed from interesting to so-so "Okay I'll give it one more try."
And then it happened during the seventh episode. Tbh, i still remember the blonde guy in the team who talked to much during dispatch; his name is Nicholas. Since then, i hate the character because he talked too much and always interrupted something. And in the end, the girls ruled the show. Finally, i couldnt stand it. Nice try, by the way. I appreciate how all of you had created back then, but not the characters. (Gideon also talked too much. Was he supposed to be lousy too?)
