No Escape (2015)
Realistic Terror
After watching this film you'll never travel to a politically unstable country ever again. Unusually good (as in believable) which is why I've bothered to write a review for it. Like most films it has flaws but in the main it works well.
Trigger Man (2007)
Unusual but interesting
A simple story line but not gimmicky and indeed its ordinariness is what made the film interesting. Some scenes where there was no movement of any kind were too long. No doubt this was to create the sense of "ordinariness" but in actuality the situation was anything but ordinary because there were two killers lurking. The scenery was idyllic which, as with the ordinariness of the hunting trip generally, masked the evil hidden in this placid setting.
Dragon Day (2013)
A good, realistic movie about human beings under pressure
An above-average movie. Some interesting human-dynamics from people under pressure and without too many clichés that abound in this type of genre (Dystopia (family versus a collapsed world)).
At the end of the movie all I could think about was: "I must install a water tank".
