Rare Objects (2023)

Perfectly underrated NOT your boring Hollywoodian script.

When I first read the summery, I was hoping not to watch just another revenge or vindication story and I am glad I didn't judge the book by the cover. I thought to myself, let's give it a try simply because of the stars playing in it. I was very pleasantly surprised.

It is more of a realistic approach to human nature, how lives intertwine and friendships are formed. The story evolves around human emotions in a very delicate way. Thanks to the brilliant writing I was watching and experiencing a huge range of complex human emotions, and the even more brilliant acting made it impossible to look away. I often get easily bored by American produced money making blockbusters and ending up stop watching, not this time.

Rare Objects is hugely underrated, we need more movies like this!

Marie Antoinette (2022– )

Boring and historically inaccurate

The etiquette of any royal court or any court for that matter was way stricter that shown in this mockery of historical facts. This series is made for the uneducated masses, who are maybe even not able to read, but would enjoy a nicely composed picture. It is on the level of a 5 year old girl who lives in the fantasy being a princess.

If you are looking for accuracy, look elsewhere, because you will not enjoy this adaptation of a fairy tale, because this series is teaching false facts. The fact is, this is a non-factional fictional series using historical royal figures to tell a tale. On top, nothing really happens during the entire series. L'art pour l'art, nothing more.

I do understand covid19 stuff, I've been there. But the editing and CGI is just pitiful. Really sad for the great actors participated in this *something. Don't waist your time if you love yourself just a bit.

Death on the Nile (2022)

Horrible French accents and mediocre acting, beautiful set.

Why is it, that not English speaking French actors are playing instead of the magnificent Kenneth Branagh and Rose Leslie?

The scenes are beautiful, the decor is beautiful, how it is shot is beautiful, but I really don't know why the acting is so mediocre. The actors are so uninspired, I would almost say bored. The first hour I was skipping a lot to finally get to the point. Some cut-scenes so very unnecessary and didn't understand, if it was cut in to make it more artistic or they just wanted to fill in the void that was not there.

Some acting was nice, some over theatrical, some boring. All in all, it was not my favorite of all the 'Death on the Nile' movies.

Even not one star worthy

Someone wrote about this "movie": terrible is a compliment.

I wish the voting was all the way down to -10. Amateurish script, trashy predictable jokes, hallmark clichés, amateurish acting which is understandable since there are no professional actors in it the cast. It is a pity. I mean it's a pity to spend any time on this chef d'oevre. Couldn't sit it through.

Trauma Center (2019)

Willis is the worst of actors in this movie

I didn't follow Willis' carrier for a long time and was curious what could he offer. No worries if you want to watch a boring performance full of shouting. And the script is just horrible, very predictable. It was a waste of time. Te only actor somewhat okay is the heroine. Good luck with you carrier after this one Nicky Whelan!

Judy (II) (2019)

Judy Garland is reborn

Renée Zellwegers as Judy Garland is hauntingly beautiful. The whole cast of Judy is great and the performances are exquisite, but Renée Zellweger made history with this movie as she embodies a star that was thought to struggle from a very early age. Her acting is to perfection, this role offered her a great opportunity and she ran with it. One if not the incarnation of her carrier so far.

The Death & Life of John F. Donovan (2018)

Beautifully written, great performances

Finally a movie for those who prefer to watch something that makes you think. Very relatable, magnificent problems shown by a range of actors so fine, you actually see there emotions behind their acting so real, you get a sense of sympathy even for Kit Harrington's character. For the first time in a long time every single actor is delivering an Oscar worthy performance. It may be that the script is so intriguing, that it was simply just joyousness to play, and it shows.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019)

A perfect example of world politics

This superbly made fantasy adventure is a perfect example of bravery. The story how to unite against all odds and have faith in a better world. It takes you to a realm of beautiful scenery with its characters so charming, you almost believe they exist. A modern tale much better than we are used to!
