Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007)
Didn't live up
I had waited for this flick to come out for a year. However yesterday when I finally got a chance to see it, I was a bit disappointed. Although the actors did a good job (Sanjay dutt, Vivek, Tushar were superb) but the director tried to hard. First of all gangsters and underworld criminals are heartless pricks. They have no emotional attachments. Why on earth dilip maya & co were crying in the end talking to their loved ones? That scene alone made them look like street criminals. secondly they didn't retaliate with enough flare. I was hoping the would cause substantial damage to the police force and go down fighting. Moreover one of the songs had European girls on top of a bus dancing with them. thats pretty lame and unrealistic. Thirdly and most importantly there shouldve been more scenes between sanjay dutt and vivek in terms of dialogues. One cannot make comparison with company or sarkar. Those two have a league of their own. Overall I personally feel the movie will burn out in a couple of weeks. Simply adding big stars doesn't do justice if the director alone has lost his way. Sehar is a prime example of excellent direction and power acting.
