Some Assembly Required (2014–2016)

Awfully Awful

Sorry I hate to be cruel but I couldn't help myself and this show really is scraping the bottom of the barrel so hard that the bottom of the barrel is wearing away. "Some Assembly Required" is truly a terrible TV watching experience and in my opinion it fails badly on every level.

The writing is absolutely atrocious with fake and hackneyed dialogue and jokes that literally make me cringe time and again. You can usually tell exactly what the joke is going to be and basically get buried under an avalanche of terrible punch lines and then an over the top, desperate laugh track.

The acting is also terrible. I know these are just children, or teens playing children and young adults playing teens, but they're just not very good. Every single cast member misses the mark. Of course this isn't entirely their fault... like I said the writing is terrible and the casting department really missed the mark here as well.

The effects are also complete rubbish. I mean, every single thing about this show is just cheap and bad. I can't believe this lasted more than one season, or that it even made it on the air at all. Spectacularly bad TV.

All Wrong (2017– )

Pathetic

This web series is completely pathetic on every single level you can imagine! Just rubbish.

The acting is awful.

The direction is awful.

The writing is worse than awful. I mean, I can imagine this show literally being written by a baboon on construction paper with its own feces.

The jokes are probably the worst attempt at "comedy" I have ever seen in my life.

I can't believe I wasted what seems like half an hour but was probably more like ten or so minutes watching this pile of complete rubbish.

John Hughes Classic
4 July 2017
Ferris Bueller's Day Off is one of my all time favourite comedies and one of my all time favourite movies over all. John Hughes was a great and underrated comedy writer and director and this is probably his best comedy overall. But I have to admit for "best John Hughes" movie it would be tough to beat "Trains, Planes and Automobiles" which is almost as funny and also incredibly touching, with a couple of John Candy's scenes almost making me cry.

In Ferris Bueller the story is a simple one of a brilliant but underachieving student scheming his way out of going to school by convincing his parents and trying to convince his principal that he is sick. A running joke is that the students at the school are incredibly worried about him as if he is at death's door, which really annoys his sister who is stuck going to school and knows that he is completely healthy.

He also gets his girlfriend out of school, as well as his hypochondriac friend Cameron who has serious daddy issues which come to a head at the end of the movie. That poor poor car!

Super funny and just a fun movie to spend some time on.
