Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Unbelievable
I was in awe the entire movie. Laughter, many tears, nostalgia...everything a movie should be that is what this film is!!!
I will now got back and rewatch every Spider-Man movie, the fire is burning bright. Perfect in every way!
The Suicide Squad (2021)
Brilliant
It's amazing what happens to a DC film when you have the right director, producers, and writers! Absolutely flawless!! Please watch it!
Mary J Blige's My Life (2021)
Confused
This worst part of the documentary is the added meet and greet clips. It's seems so fake, like she didn't even want to meet the fans, I don't understand why they even put those clips in there. Then there is random scenes with her fans having kind of a therapy session, what? So disappointed in this, I love Mary J Blige.
Dark Places, Deadly Illusions (2021)
What!
This may be the worst movie I have ever seen. The script, the acting, the cinematography, everything is absolutely terrible. The dialogue omg, it's the absolute worst!
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Epic Adventure
This is what Justice League is supposed to be, zack Snyder released a flawless movie! DC needs to keep it going!
Firefly Lane (2021)
Binged all of season 1
This is absolutely perfect in every way. The 80's flashbacks are spot on and full of nostalgia, and all the flashbacks caused no confusion it is done so well. Katherine Haigel and Sarah Chalke are perfect together, chemistry is amazing! Love everything about it.
It is funny, sad, devastating, and so relatable!
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Worthy watch
I am a huge Wonder Woman fan I watched the first one 60 times and was waiting so long for this release.
I will say I watched it three times already and it got better each time.
I had to throw away my idea that it was going to be like the first, it wasn't.
First and foremost Gal Gadot was once again amazing in this role, there could not be a better Wonder Woman, she brings this humanity to the character, gives us something to relate to. Her scenes with Chris Pine were fantastic.
I was worried about Kristen Wigg in this role, but I think she pulled it off, made a great villain. Although I thought Cheetah should of been in the movie more, not just the final battle scene.
As far as the CGI, fight scenes etc. there were some parts I though could use some tweaking, mostly the scene in Egypt when she used her lasso to move a bullet, it just looked strange with all the slow motion. Then when she flew threw the air in the same scene, there was just something off about it to me.
I thought Patty Jenkins did well, remained true to Diana Prince and her moral compass.
I cried many times, it was very difficult to see Diana losing her powers, and becoming human, getting hurt.
Overall I thought the film was released at the perfect time, it is what we need right now, with the climate of the world being what it is!
The Witches (2020)
I'm on the fence
So I absolutely love Octavia Spencer in everything she does including this movie, I also love Anne Hathaway in every movie she has been in except this! I almost could not watch this movie because of her. CGI was marginal, my daughter enjoyed it, so we watched together.
The Last Thing He Wanted (2020)
Jumbled mess
I felt a headache coming on trying to figure out what is happening in this movie. The incredible cast could not save the script, and direction this went in! No flow, no direction! Anne Hathaway was fantastic with what she was give.
All the Bright Places (2020)
Pretty Fantastic
Being in the medical field I thought this was a fantastic depiction of mental illness and trauma. This film created a great wave of many emotions. I laughed, and cried. The acting was fantastic we got pulled into their light, then pulled into the darkness they then felt! I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO ANYONE
Polar (2019)
Epic,
Wow just wow! It played out like a Terrentino film, cinematography was outstanding, visually stunning. Dark, violent, graphic. Vanessa Hudgens was superb, raw emotion, brings you in to every scene! Kill bill, meets The Professional, meets John Wick!!! Outstanding
Spring Breakers (2012)
Difficult to watch
Let me start by saying James Franco was ridiculous in this role.
Reality check for young kids looking to have a good time, without understanding the reality of life! Hard to watch these misguided girls thinking that finding a way out of their boring reality means they have to sell their sole.
I was wanting them so badly to get on the bus with faith and go home, their naivety is going to get them killed!
Imagine Me & You (2005)
Best Lesbian Film
First time I saw this I was hooked. It is a wonderful love story, all about fate, and finding the "one." Lena Headey is absolutely adorable and you root for her the entire time. Matthew Goode plays the role splendidly, and although you root for Piper and Lena to be together you do not want him to be hurt.
I purchased this film, and have seen it at least a dozen times.
Us (2019)
Absolutely Fabulous
I actually waited to watch this in my home, although I though the trailer was stellar and I love Lupito.
I am not a huge fan of horror, mostly because I scare easily, so I finally took the plunge.
This film is brilliant in all areas; Script, Cast, cinematography, Director. Highly disturbing yet thought provoking. It had much more blood and gore then I expected, but my goodness it was genius.
Lupito is brilliant, had me screaming for her one minute and covering my eyes the next.
From the clothes in the 80's which was right on to present day, the suits that the evil side all wore, the scissors amazing!
Destroyer (2018)
I wanted to love it
Nicole Kidman is flawless always in her performances, so I truly wanted to love this. Until she spit on a dying mans penis and was performing oral sex!
She went for every dark aspect of this film and nailed it, but my god the movie is lost, so many flashbacks, it's confusing.
The potential was lost in the director!
Wakefield (2016)
Utter disappointment
I waited and waited for an ending that would that could possibly make his animalistic behavior admirable, but it never came.
VERY difficult to watch, I at least wanted so see the families reaction, but NOTHING!
The Shape of Water (2017)
Flawless
Sally Hawkins and Octavia Spencer shine! It is a devastating love story, build around a broken soul. Shows the brutality of the human race, and also the compassion and ability to love. Perfect breath of fresh air! Pure art!
Atomic Blonde (2017)
Breath of fresh air
Charlize Theron is stellar. Sexy, hard, with just enough softness in her eyes! Exciting to watch, edge of your seat, raw and real. You beg to reach into the film and fight by her side. The soundtrack is nostalgic bringing you back to the 80's. You ache for revenge on James McAvoy, and the twist at the end is fantastic!
Wonder Woman (2017)
Superb
Greatest super hero movie I have ever seen. Storyline is magnificent, touching, flawless. Director did a magnificent job with every angle of this film. And Gal Gadot is exquisite, best possible choice for this role. She is the the light in this character, beautiful! Bravo
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Wonder Woman
Enjoyable simply for Wonder Woman. Ben Afflack is the worst Batman ever!
