NCIS: Los Angeles: Of Value (2022)
The series is just not as good as it once was
Sadly, NCIS LA is not as good as it used to be. The action. The humor. The suspense. The storylines. The writing. The "family/team" chemistry that used to be there.
The last couple of seasons just doesn't portray a "real" and "believable" story like earlier episodes in the previous years. Seems like the writers strive to make sure everything has political correctness instead of real life scenarios.
I enjoy Gerald McRaney as an actor but I just don't care for his character in this series. Nor do I care for the Fatima and Roundtree characters. To me the chemistry just isn't there like it used to be. Maybe I'm just set in my ways but the last few seasons just haven't appeased me.
It's hard getting through these episodes anymore, but I keep hoping.
MacGyver (2016)
Could never hold a candle to the original.
I believe this could have been a great reboot. Lucas Till had the potential to pull off the modern day MacGyver for this generation. However with all the other senseless drama surrounding MacGyver with his team and relationships and poor story telling, "MacGyver" never had a chance. The original was so much better by far and Richard Dean Anderson set the bar high. Honestly surprised it lasted 5 seasons.
Covert Affairs (2010)
The worst spy show ever
Annie Walker is undoubtedly the worst spy. She's as subtle as a bull in a China shop when sneaking around, she's very emotional, she has more tells than a newspaper, she's self-centered, and she defies her superiors all of the time. I realize this show is fiction because this certainly wouldn't happen in real life.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Iceman (2007)
Great episode, but....
Great episode but would have been better without the Jeanne drama. This character story would have been better left out all together. Way too much drama and IMO doesn't add anything to the arc of the story. She's emotional, needy, and insecure. I have to fast forward through her scenes in every episode she's in.
Eternals (2021)
ANOTHER MCU Failure!
ANOTHER MCU Failure! 20 minutes in and I wanted to puke. Too cheesy, boring, needs better actors and the story makes no sense. Doesn't have the chemistry that the Avengers had. These new characters that have been introduced as of late has been floundering IMO.
SEAL Team: Close to Home (2021)
More drama less action
This series continues to pick up speed going downhill. There used to be better writing, better acting, and more action. Now it has become more drama-filled, bad writing, terrible acting, little action, and most of it makes absolutely no sense. Sadly, it's not the Seals Team it once was.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
Too much bad CGI
Way too much bad CGI, terrible writing, and an average storyline in this movie. I was excited to watch this movie only to see that the hype was more than what the movie delivered. The last two MCU films just haven't been the greatest. Kind of disappointing actually.
Titans: Nightwing (2019)
DC Who????
DC live action has been a joke for the last several years. This take on the Titans has been overall revolting. Strays way too much from the comics. The writing has been horrible and more profanity than I've probably heard my whole life. I don't even know who DC is anymore. This season finale should be a series finale because the storyline makes no sense whatsoever. I'm going to stick with Marvel when it comes to live action. At least they know what they're doing and have writers that know the comics.
Blue Bloods: Open Secrets (2014)
Nikki turns my stomach
Every episode with Nikki a part of the story line turns my stomach.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: True Believer (2021)
So glad Sloan is gone!!
This episode could not come soon enough. Nothing worse than a psychotherapist that always seem to be emotionally unstable, meddling in other people's lives, and seems to know everything. Her entire story arc seemed to be one emotional roller coaster ride after another. So glad Sloan is gone!!
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Overrated
This movie has certainly not lived up to the hype. I feel like I'm watching a train wreck in slow motion. I see now why DCEU is having such a hard time getting off the ground. Poor directors, writers, and vision. The animated movie "Justice League: War" is soooo much better and only 89 minutes long and in full screen! Even has Green lantern! This movie sucks! Glad I didn't pay to watch 👎
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)
A great Christmas tradition!
I never get tired of watching this movie. This movie will always bring out the laughs. I read through some of the "goofs" in the goof section here, and while some are probably legit, the whole movie is goofy and full of "intended goofs" which makes it what it is and why it's a cult classic! They just don't make 'em like they use to...
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)
The amateur critics here make me laugh 😆
This is definitely an action movie with cheeky humor. However, it obviously did well at the box office. These kind of movies you either like or you don't. If you had already planned to watch it, you'll like it.
2010: Moby Dick (2010)
Wow! 🙄👎👎👎
This whole movie was a disgrace to the novel. Not to mention the cheesy graphics and dialogue. I can't believe they used a budget of $500,000...must have been for the actors only. It's was nice to see Renee O'Conner again though 🤗
The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019)
Glad I didn't go to the theatre to see this...
Nowhere near as funny as the first one. Matter of fact I stopped watching in 22 minutes in. Just couldn't watch anymore.
The Red Sea Diving Resort (2019)
Couldn't get past the first 5 minutes...
I think I will read the actual true story. The lead character in this movie should have been played by someone that could pass for an Israeli Mossad agent. Chris Evans sticks out like a sore thumb. Poor casting choice. While he may have been good as "Cap" in the Marvel movies, it's just not working here. I can think of several other actors that would have fit the fictional role of Ari Levinson and probably would've made the movie more tolerable...in my opinion of course.
