Go See It!!!

I almost didn't see this movie, based on the trailers. Almost... and it would have been a big mistake if I didn't see it.

It's been a long time since a movie has made me laugh so hard, and so often throughout. Start to finish.

Even if you don't particularly like Russell Brand, or Jonah Hill You should still find it watchable and very funny.

It's a funny movie. Exactly what you'd expect from the actors and staff involved.

Highlight: Puff Daddy was hilarious!

For my taste, Exactly what I like in a comedy

Plenty of laughs, gags, one liners, and talented improv actors

The Departed (2006)

OK, anyone who has heard of this movie knows that you can't go wrong with such an A-list cast and director. Since the departed had a bunch of my favorite actors in the line up, I was sooo eager to see this, and my hopes were set very very high. Let me tell you, they delivered!! I was a little confused at the start with where the story was starting and where it was going, but I think that was planned, because as the movie went on, the whole big picture became clear. I totally recommend this to anyone, you really can't go wrong with so many talented people involved, definitely a blockbuster hit.

Ghost Rider (2007)

OK, this is my most interesting encounter with writing a movie review so far.....

I'm under the safe assumption that like all the other marvel comics turned movie, this one will have more to follow, and in the long run, this one will be the introduction to the character in a series of ghost rider films, like LOTR 1 was purely introduction to a trilogy, , It's much like spiderman 1 in this way as well, get the origin out of the way, then onto the action in the sequels right?... I hope, all that said, when watching this, expect to be placed at the start of the ghost rider story, I know some have said that the film lacks with action, and is slow running, I wouldn't quite say that, there is a fair balance of story, and some great action to crank on the stereo. The storyline is only to properly introduce the origin of the ghost rider, not to bore, so lets hope I'm right and in the long run this is an important introduction piece to a trilogy or something, that would be awesome. I definitely would have given it a 6/10 instead of 7/10 if I didn't think there was sequels to come, but it's bound to happen.

Evil Bong (2006)

Pathetic

wow, this was super bad, and not in the good way, where the heck do I begin... first of all the acting was just terrible, especially the very obvious and cheesy "steve stifler" rip off from the American pie movies. This was supposed to be a comedy and horror, but both elements were missing, leaving the movie in a zone that has no entertainment value, at all. The "horror" scenes could be seen coming a mile a way, and when they came, they were severely cheesy, and unfortunately highly laughable for all the wrong reasons, I couldn't believe what I was watching for the most part, it was so bad, I beg you, don't spend any money on going to see this, if you have a friend who already made the mistake of renting or buying it, tag along just to laugh at how cheesy it is. It's almost offensive it's that bad, like did you think i'm dumb enough to enjoy this crap.......

School for Scoundrels (2006)

Wasn't really feeling it

I was a bit let down by this movie. Hearing that Billy bob thorton and Jon Heder were in it, (aswell as sarah silverman) I was expecting to get some quality laughs out of this, but what I got was pretty weak. Not that movies like this have incredible stories or plots, but this one was pretty bad, and it moved at an awkward pace to me, that made it even more unbelievable than the genre usually is, As a fan of this sort of platform for a comedy, maybe I'm being to hard on it by other peoples standards, so I don't want to all out not recommend it, but Don't expect as many laughs as the other Billy bob thorton flicks like bad santa, it's light comedy. I usually tend to enjoy these comedies a few times over, but one viewing of this will be enough for me.

Crank (2006)

CRANK up the volume for this one!!!

whoa, if you don't have a stereo system hooked up to your TV/DVD player yet, do it before you see this movie, It's totally insane. I had it so loud!! This is an awesome fast paced action flick, with unique camera angles and effects, an adrenaline rush script, it is exactly what I expected out of an action movie , top notch star role acting, insane LOUD music and sound effects, it also has some pretty funny moments Amy Smart plays a pretty funny character as well, I totally recommend this for action fans, or for someone like me who dips into each genre, I'm glad I took a chance on it, I was definitely not let down!

wow, I was surprised to see how low of a rating this movie got, and all the hard reviews. I liked this movie, I thought it was differen't from what I'm used to watching, and they told an interesting story of a struggle that people actually experience. I also didn't think 50 cent did that bad of a job in it either, maybe people have a grudge against him or something, but I liked it. I guess if you like Eminem's movie 8 mile you'd like get rich or die trying for the same reasons you watched 8 mile. This one has a little more "street" element. Again, i'm not sure why people didn't like this, so i can't say I recommend it, unless you are willing to take a chance

A Simple Plan (1998)

This is a perfect Sunday afternoon movie. I had never heard of this movie until a few weeks ago, It came recommended by a friend. Hearing that Billy Bob was in it, and it wasn't a direct comedy, I was eager to check it out, since I really enjoyed his recent works, and thought it would be cool to see him in a different role, plus it's almost ten years old, and I had never heard of it?!?!?! OK all that being said, I was pleasantly surprised with this, if you are a Billy Bob fan from his comedy flicks, check him in this interesting role. I usually stick with what I know which is comedy and mainstream stuff from the various genres, but now and then I will take a chance on something none of the above in my taste, and this one was worth the gamble!

(Being on the basis of my understanding that this is based on the columbine "events") this is one of those "touchy" subjects, I would imagine there is some sort of debate on whether or not something like this should be made. I believe everyone has a right to do what they want with art, to a degree, my only issue with the movie it that it could be viewed for the wrong reasons, But it also may answer some questions for people interested in these kind of situations, and the moments leading up to them. I guess it's no differen't than an episode of "american justice" as far as getting into the minds of the troubled. But for what it's worth as a film, it did it's job of portraying the moment leading up to something so tragic

Night at the Museum (2006)

So heres the story, I decided to just go out and see this movie not knowing anything about it, only the title, and that Ben Stiller was in it... and that it was doing well at the box office. (that helped encourage me to see it)... I must say, that was the best Idea ever.. coming into this movie with no expectation's, I came out of it totally blown away, and wanting to see it again. Apparently this is supposed to be a family movie, (among action adventure and comedy) I guess it is a family movie in the way that it's seriously good enough to be watched by all ages, but it also could be a turn off to the average Stiller fan, maybe they think it won't be as funny or entertaining, but it is. I don't even know where to start with it's qualities, you really have to check it out for yourself. It is too bad that this is the kind of movie that would not likely have an opening for a equal sequel, cause it's truly an instant classic in my opinion.

Anyone who doesn't find this movie hilarious is stepping out of there own taste and into the wrong genre.

I've been coming to IMDb for a long time now to get a heads up on movies before I see them, but only recently have I been leaving my comments on films. I have definitely learned that people are really opinionated and when they really hate a movie, it's more than likely because they are watching the wrong movie to begin with. Any fan of this type of movie knows what they are getting when they step into it, a goofy plot with a lot of silly moments, I'm curious, for the people that hated this movie, what did they expect from it.... what do they feel is missing.... people need to understand and respect what all genres intents are.

This is exactly the type of movie I like to see, and a few times over. I recommend it to anyone who likes stoner/comfort movies. The cast is excellent! also....I actually didn't mind Jessica Simpson in this, Andy Dick as well, I'm not really into either of them, but I am able to put my grudges aside if they deserve it.

Joe Dirt (2001)

David spade has done a few movies worth forgetting...."Dickie Roberts" for example, now that was bad..."Joe Dirt" on the other hand, this is more my cup of tea. The whole idea of the radio show was a neat platform for this movie, it kept things on two levels, and this really added to the story/progression of the movie. There is quite a few funny moments, mostly from Spade, but the odd Kid Rock line is laughable as well. Again cool story platform, and lets face it Jaime Pressley is the perfect eye candy....WOWSERS

This is a good little semi-classic in the stoner/comfort genre. It's not in my top ten, but definitely in my favs list.

Waiting... (I) (2005)

this movie was too good.... I've already seen it soo many times. Instant classic. Anybody that works in a restaurant, serving, or in the kitchen will especially appreciate this one, and if you don't work at a restaurant... this may just turn you off of them, and for good reason. Ryan Reynold is killer in this, but he is joined by a large cast of characters that also deliver some great laughs. The kitchen staff was pretty sweet, you will find their "game" quite amusing. Definitely watch this if you are a fan of ANY of the cast members, they all have a time to shine in this one, or even if you are a fan of the genre, but haven't heard of many of the actors, you will totally dig this.

Any bonus material or features on American pie you can toss at me, I'm gonna definitely watch and most likely enjoy. I can't get enough. There is such a large group of talented people at work here... casts and crew. basically if you went as far as to rent or buy the DVD, why not watch the features.

And for the question in the previous comment...try checking the different cast and crew DVD commentary for those scenes, they might be able to shed some light onto where the wedding scenes were shot. (That was quite a nice building in the movie)

This was a pretty cool little video, fun and funny stuff. It's always neat to see behind the scenes stuff, especially on a movie you really enjoy. It's been said before but this cast is top to bottom some of the best actors in the comedy game, and it's fun to see them do what they do. it's worth the watch so check it out if you are a fan, or even if you want to see some behind the scenes stuff check it out. If you liked this I also recommend the DVD commentary, it's pretty funny, and you learn a bit about the movie, and movie making in general. Also the American pie 2/3 DVD's have multiple commentary options, worth checking out for the true fan.

The American pie gang treats us to a sequel having more of a heads up this time around, I was able to see this one in the theater, followed by many DVD views. Again as the first American pie, we are treated to an all star cast, and a fun movie, full of laughs. This is exactly what you would expect from writer Adam Herz, as a follow up to the original American pie. If you saw the first movie than of course you must see this one, move along to "the next step" and get caught up. And if you haven't seen the first movie, definitely go ses it before this one..... rent them both and watch them back to back another classic addition to the first

Where do you start... from flutes to pies, this pioneer teen movie has it all. I'm pretty sure this was the first DVD I ever saw, back in 2000. I do remember owing $20 in late fees to blockbuster video for keeping it so long after it was due back. It was worth it! This has classic written all over it, I think it's safe to say that anyone that was involved with this movie has a great career now because of it. American pie has an absolute all star cast led by the Great Jason biggs Anyone who enjoys comedy, teen comedy must see this movie! honestly you need to watch more movies if you haven't sen this one!!!

American Pie Presents: Band Camp (2005 Video)

Better than it could have been

I was very excited to see that the American pie series was in fact not dead, but alive, and... somewhat well. I didn't mind this, I am definitely liking more than hating it, it really did have a lot of funny moments, and matt stifler was played well, with a likeness to Sean Scott's version It was said that Sean Scott and Eddie Thomas Were among the cameos from the original cast, but the were nowhere to be seen. The cameos that did make it were a nice touch to give this franchise a push into the direction of everlasting existence. this isn't too bad overall, it's worth checking out if you are a fan of the series, just for curiosity sake. You won't have to see the first 3 American pie movies to see this one, but they are worth it.

American Wedding (2003)

This was an awesome closure to the American pie series (with the original cast) Stifler is pretty good in this, he always steps it up. The cast kinda gets smaller and smaller as the series goes on, but we are left with the core of the group. Jim again has some great comedic moments, Jason Biggs by now has perfected the role of Jim. This as the second movie, plays it's part as a sequel, series or a trilogy. If you have seen the first two, this will be a good ending to the story for those who haven't seen the first two, or only part one, go out and get caught up before seeing this one. You missed a lot of the action. icing on the cake

Dorm Daze (2003)

You never know what you are gonna get when you watch a national lampoon's movie lately. This is one of the better ones I've seen, of the newer batch. It's no Van wilder, but it has it's own qualities. The story is really neat, and written with some fun depth.... it's still just a comedy, don't expect rocket science, but do expect to be surprised by the original trademark touch that dorm daze brings to the table. You will probably recognize a few of the faces as well, which is nice, Nobody too over the top famous and it works just fine like this. great little find. check it out.

You, Me and Dupree (2006)

This is pretty good. It's exactly what you'd expect from it, you get some good laughs out of owen Wilson. This movie and the ones like it, i.e. wedding crashers, the break up,... are not for everyone. The people that like these movies know what they are gonna get out of them before even seeing them usually, just from the commercials. Rarely does a person see a movie foe Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrel, and actually get let down after watching. Non fans of this type of movie, or newcomers on the other hand, may not find a whole lot in it. you really watch this for a quick laugh, and maybe to appreciate comedic writing/acting. good effort!

Freddy vs. Jason (2003)

This was pretty darn cool! These guys came up with some neat/modern touches to spice up the viewing experience. Any fan of The Elm street or Friday the 13th series is gonna love this. Even someone unfamiliar with either, or have only seen one or the other, will totally enjoy this. It's not mind blowing, not many are in horror, but it is certainly above par for what you'd expect from the genre, or even the franchises. Go out and rent this cool movie, which classic villain will come out on top??? For horror fans it's a must see, and as for the genre jumper, you'll like this one as well.

Half Baked (1998)

Who hasn't seen this one....... This is definitely a classic in the stoner movie genre. There is no shortage of laughs in this one, for those who enjoy stoner humor this movie is a must see. The cast is strong, With a younger Dave Chapelle, a few new faces and a few old.

Plently of marijuana, plenty of trouble, plenty of fun. I t almost has a comic book feel to it.... like your are in a wacky fantasy world. If you haven't't seen this rent it now, and get in the zone, because this is a really really good time on the first few views. And don't forget them munchies, this is classic

Dirty Love (2005)

Wow... My first encounter of this was at the video store. My friend said he tried to watch it, and had to turn it off cause it was sooo bad. So I looked here on IMDb and saw mixed reviews, but still decided to still give it a shot, as I'm a Eddie Thomas fan, and the eye candy was above par, But only seconds into this movie I realized which side of the debate I was on. I couldn't believe my eyes, this was just torture, and I don't quite get the people who defend Jenny Mccarthy's acting/comedic performance.... lets just say this is up there with pauly shore's acting, and anyone to disagree surely has a crush on her. haha Poor Eddie K. he must have saw that Carmen Electra and Jenny Mccarthy were gonna be in it and jumped on board.

bad bad bad, stay away from this one....or at least watch the first 5 minutes to see what a mess it is.

Just Friends (I) (2005)

This movie quickly became one of my favorites. Just can't get enough of those 2!

Ryan Reynolds and Anna Feris Deliver as a comedy duo. Reynolds comedic styles shines in this one, as Feris is there to provoke it.

Amy smart and Chris Klien are also good in the movie, excellent supporting roles. this is my kind of comedy, funny stuff! and it's a Christmas movie!

If you like the style of van wilder, then check this out, it's a must see for a Ryan reynolds or Anna Feris fan. Or even a fan of holiday comedy's, it's a great little escape.
