My apologies in advance for being the bearer of, perhaps, unwanted dispatches from reality, from the world of demonstrable fact. So, i am sorry to have to report that the entire narrative being concocted here, emerges from a morass of self-delusion, arrogance, lies, and emotional weakness -- all of which can be traced to growing, pervasive national historical fantasy story. As such, this video would rate a much higher adjudication in a scale of merit if this video was reimagined as aexample of cinema verite -- it being a clinical deep dive into the heart of one unfortunate nation's damaged, broken, misled, pathological, pitiable national vision.

Watching more than one episode is a cry for help

Obscenely overproduced generic fare for all Pavlovs who salivate whenever an adoring bell rings for our good ol' c i a. Really nauseating stuff. For surveillance state / intelligence services thriller junkies, watch the unrivalled all-time great series in the genre, Le Bureau de Legendes.

A wild wild ride

Wow ! ... You innocently sit down one evening to check out a new series; then, five hours of viewing time later, as the final credits scroll by you slowly begin gathering your wits back about you, eventually awakening to the wild wild ride you had been taken on. From the start in the first episode and scene by scene, this ride becomes, nearly imperceptibly, more and more frenzied as tension and suspense steadily rise till the whole story explodes in paroxysms of psychological, social, historical derangement (which, for the series creators, presumably is intended to symbolically represent the dramatic historical moment upon which the story is bound and fastened). Production, acting, mood, setting, narrative and character development, all achieve high levels of refinement, assuring most viewers find this series a rewarding investment of their time.

A Review Like None Other I've Ever Composed

Short and sweet ... I've never done it before, but couldn't have held out for a more appropriate subject.Le Bureau des Légendes is, 'hand's down', the best television series I've ever had the joy of watching. If not for the pathetic feeling of loss knowing that i am 1 show away from the final show of the 2nd (and thus far last) season, I would have none but the most high and exalted of regards for the show. The writing, production values, acting, character development, all things of salience to excellent TV are super-abundantly present in The Bureau. Okay, already losing the 'short and sweet' struggle. Just one last comment: the best TV series ever.'
