People who gave this bad reviews were maybe looking for a different kind of movie? This movie is not a work of art or believable. It's not that kind of movie. But it was a lot of fun! Pleasant way to spend an evening and very entertaining. Ryan Reynolds is hilarious.

Very well done. The acting is excellent and realistic. Story of an American hero, told basically from her own perspective. The use of music throughout the film is powerful. Harriet's reliance on God is inspiring (for lack of a better word).

Excellent acting, especially by Jack Black. And the commentary by actual citizens adds interest. But it seems that the movie should've been differently conceived or differently directed. An interesting true life crime story, But not a comedy.
