Daisy Jones & the Six (2023)
Cliched to the Max
This show is beyond predictable. But to be fair, so was the book, which I enjoyed. I'm enjoying the show as well, but I'm ashamed of myself for it. Really not very good, but it's quite a nostalgic trip for someone who was at UCLA during this time span. The fact that "young Billy" looks to be the same age as Billy 20 years later is distracting for me. I'm only through first 2 episodes. Not sure if I'll finish it. Acting is fine, original music not terribly interesting. The book had an interesting hook that I don't see happening in the film. I'm trudging onto episode 3. I'll let you know if it gets better.
The Morning Show: Fever (2021)
Practically unwatchable
Really? Jennifer Aniston, who is an okay comic actor, can't pull off the serious Covid monologue. Or most of the season. She's awful but the premise and script are even worse not to mention unrealistic. Everyone else is okay, just not very interesting.
Sharp Objects (2018)
Sloooow
Really slow. Hard to maintain interest. Who are these people? Who cares?
Little Women (1949)
Outstanding
I've lived bed this book and the 1949 movie since I was a little girl so I thought there would be no reason to watch this. It pulled me in right away, and even added some elements of the story missing from other adaptations. Actually got me excited to reread the book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was well cast
