Has potential

This could turn out to be a hilarious show as the characters become developed. I was born and raised in Philly and work in the school system. The school related material is good. The characters need to develop more. The Italian teacher is so close to the women I knew and yet, something is missing. Overall, a lot of promise.

LeBron James vanity piece. I'd rather watch a Progressive Insurance commercial on a loop for 2 hours.

Pediphiles in the Catholic Church. Cruelty in the Catholic Church. This time innocent Native American children are victims of terrible crimes. Taken from their homes and abused in the name of God. These were not Gods people. Quite the opposite. Their reckoning must have been blazing.

Fantastic Movie

Hail to the heroes who don't give up. Who fight even when everything is at stake. This is one example of that. That, and the evil darkness that puts money over humanity. Very well acted and a terrific script.

Damned DuPont!!!!!

Criticsdont get it and don't want to get it.

Armchair critics who feel expert enough to armchair judge these women don't understand the crippling power of what I call the "death freeze. Really, they don't understand, they just want to feel that it would never happen to them Thank God there are others who offer compassions instead of useless, judge mental comments that only add fodder to the "nobody will believe me, it is my fault" cycle that keeps her in the shadows. What fools.

I am not wasting my time trying to explain something to the elitist hard heads who have no desire to understand.

The same old cycle of blame and shame goes round thanks in part to these kind of comments turning the wheel with their own hands. Get educated or shut up.

If you have been abused, ignore them, They are the ignorant ones. MANY other women know how you feel. Talk to someone. You will be believed. I believe you and no one is to blame for a crime against their body.

If you love brilliant acting, savor it here!

It is not often that I am so mesmerized by a movie that it takes over a movie. The rich subject of the movie, the making of a monumental tome is fascinating. The visual richness, the excellent writing etc. are a treat. But the acting, especially by Sean Penn is brilliant. How did this man not receive a reward for his impeccable acting??!

A classic, beautiful movie.

Would rate it higher- but MALLORY!

A really easy, comfy show. Sometimes you just don't want to be assailed with, sex, language and violence. Old fashioned mystery and all of the actors are terrific, EXCEPT for the Mallory character. In the name of all that is holy would somebody tell this man he is not in a burlesque show and to bring it down a notch! I honestly can't stand it when he's on.

Fantastic!

I so thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle/drama that I watched the entire thing in a day and a bit. It was fascinating to watch in every way. Excellent acting all around, the plot kept me intrigued, although the ending kind of wafted down with a poof instead of hitting with a pow. Still, the entire series was worth watching. I found it to be an intelligent and gripping story. It is so refreshing to get to exercise my brain trying to see where the next turn would take a story that did not rely on sex and violence but great writing, directing and acting. Loved it.

Love Amy Poehler and NickOfferman! Enjoy the crafting, BUT do not like the judges. Ugh! Snobbish and they just squash any homey feeling that Amy and Nick bring to the show. Has potential, but could be so much better.

Intensely affecting

It is hard to put into words the impact that this movie can have on someone who may not be familiar with the droning torture of waking up in a trench waiting for death to come calling. This movie lovingly and carefully crafts that hellish and heroic existence. No stereotypes. No cheesiness. I felt that this must be what millions of average, "run of the mill" (and yet...how much above the term average!) souls endured so that we could retain freedom. Heartbreaking and humbling. Yes, war is hell. Yes, we don't want to enter into war lightly. But when fighting is required, due to a threat of our free existence, may we all be willing to do more than should be asked of any human being. The writing, acting, direction- perfection. The sense of all that was handed to succeeding generations came through in a powerful way.

What a find!

I am a bit overwhelmed after watching this beautifully acted gem. As a lover of British pieces, I thought I would give this a try, especially since I love the actors. The writing, the acting, the set, the directing- all were flawless. A moving morality tale with a speech that really delivers. David Thespis is perfect. His facial expression at a crucial scene made me weep. This's truly great art that speaks to the very core of what it means to be a human being. Loved it.

Hopefully, somebody will actually make a faithful version of this terrific gothic novel. Because this certainly wasn't one. What a big disappointment.

A gem!

I did not expect to fall head over heels in love with this movie, as I wound up doing. Utterly winsome and charming in a way that is hard to describe. Just when I thought movie were crass, violent or redundant, here comes a treasure unexpected.
